Great tech. I wish it were more natural with the detections, however. Naturally, it's very rare that we would come to an abrupt stop. The sensors should be optimized to be more defensive than viscerally reactionary.
I don't know what is the point of this remote parking when you have to be beside of car and dancing with phone. Autonomous parking that what we waiting for.
I thought Tesla's Smart Summon was a gimmick but if you need to hold your phone like that and follow the car like you're walking a dog then this one gets the cake and the crown.
Only problem with this tech is their absolute trash quality apps. I have remote park assist and the app is terrible. Every few months it forgets it's paired with the car. There are laborious, unskippable safety warnings that add huge amounts of delay to starting a parking procedure (useless in a busy car park). The gesture control to start the parking procedure is comprised of non-standard UI elements and poorly coded, so the slightest smudge on the touchscreen renders it impossible to complete the gesture. Then the app times out and you have to start again. The car itself frequently forgets how it's parked so when it comes time to unpark, it can't do it (especially true for parallel parking). Such a potentially useful feature ruined by trash-tier quality control, a terrible shame.
@CrArC that remote parking feature looked like the most useless cumbersome thing someone could ever use. Why have such a feature if you need to be right there and next to the car watching it slowly attempt to do the function. While you have to go past screens and screens before activating, and even TO activate it, it's all such a waste of time. The car could've been parked by a person, long before the feature gets activated.
@@reatilekoketsomolatlhegi1068 It's incredibly cumbersome, yeah. Literally takes several times longer to park because of all the aforementioned stupid design choices and poor quality software. However... it could have been very useful and I actually did use it quite a lot, even as annoying as it was. Basically getting the car in and out of tight spaces, it's really useful for that because you can hop out before the car squeezes into the space. If you don't regularly need to stick your car in small spaces, it was not worth it though. Just absolute trash experience especially from a premium brand. To add insult to injury, my car had a 3G modem and 3G got turned off in our country. For some reason (despite the feature not using 3G) Mercedes took it upon themselves to disable remote parking along with lots of the other connected features. Refused to upgrade the modem despite other cars of same model and platform having 4G modems. Washed my hands of Mercedes and sold the car after that.
Mercedes EQS- crazy oportunity "to be"-always.
Damn this car is full with a lot of advanced stuff

Pretty Car
this is a party trick piece! great in demonstration but can't be doing this SH*T in a busy parking garage or area....
Fantastic 👍
It takes too long to park 🌝. I prefer to park it myself

Regulations... once these are more widespread we'll get better laws.

This is like cool😎but then kind of creepy😳hopefully I don't wake up 3am and my car is sleep walking😅
super amazing except exterior
LOVE FEOM PAKISTAN
Holy shit all those steps inside then on the phone to park it on reverse, just do it yourself
Exactly! I would've gone into the store and back, they would still be trying to park it.
does this jsut work with iPhone or also with samsung / android?
How much money!?
Which car is
Eqs 450 , eqs 580 ?
Too much screens... making a car more futuristic
Was it designed by blind people?
That's just a civic
When I first saw the front I thought of the civic first but I was like “he it’s the EQS actually”
I guess you also confuse all three box car designs too?
No self driving on the highway.
This Mercedes looks like Tesla 😁😁😁😁😁
👍👍👍🐎🇩🇪
