I believe the end was another way to show Scarlett's strength again. She would never give up of something or someone .... This history deserved a second book written by the same author.

Honestly one of the best books i've ever read. I first read this book the summer before my freshman year in high school, by choice. I loved it. I'm sixteen now, and I can re-read it and never get sick of it. The movie definitely stood up to my expectations too! A true classic. I wish more of my generation would see this.

my teacher talked about this film one time in our class and it was only I who could relate with her... my classmates just stare at her blankly.... some got surprised when it was mentioned that this was a 1939 movie and they looked at me and asked how did I enjoy such a very old film at my age ( Im 22 anyway :D ) ... secondarily I loved the movie,,, primarily I really really love the novel ( which I read when I was 16 :D) its classic! magnificent! and excellent! the best ever!

This is my childhood movie.I remembered watching this with my family in 1974 re-released of this film in theater. My dad told me that he had watched Gone with the wind in 1954 re-released with my grandpa. In 1998 i watched this film in theater again with my son and wife.I can't believe that the final time i watched Gone with the wind in theater was 15 years ago and it had been made 59 years before 1998.One thing i realized now that Gone with the wind color never faded after 74 years!!!

I don't think this trailer really does the film justice. Then again the film is such a titan of a masterpiece, to try and adequately show what it's about in less than three minutes would be quite difficult.

I loved the movie but I have mixed feelings about Scarlet, she was so spoiled, greedy, selfish and manipulating. She had it too good in my opinion. It's like she never really became a better person. But that's what makes it such a good movie. Not everyone knows how to learn from mistakes and eventually become a better person in life. And the ending did not resemble a fairytale.

yarlenis ruiz she was a little selfish but she was hard headed strong independent woman who helped in saving and delivering child. She didn't go down when the life was not so sweet. She was brave. She endured hardships with great zeal and never backed down. She knew how to survive in and did recognize her mistakes. She had the courage to stand for herself.

You guys have to realize that during these times, their indeed WAS racism, so it's not like they were purposely being racist, this was just the norm back then. I'm grateful that I wasn't born during these times but it's still the truth of how the times were back then. So this is a grate film, it was just set in a different era.
