AA hand in a limped pot, where you have no information on the hand, you are betting way too small. Start with either an overbet or a check raise to weed out hands like the one that beat you. 5-7 straight gets there on the turn. Top pair pairs. Yet you still try to bet the river -_- Not every hand is a 3-streets of value hand. With AK DD, I would start betting on the flop as soon as the action checks to you. That's the whole point of position. But DEFINITELY by the turn. He gave you the green light twice.

Even if they have AK or two overs, you are a 60/40 dog, and vs overpairs an 80/20. also, multiway, you will just always realize your equity more poorly, which means you should defend tighter. For example, if someone bets flop, you just have to fold, giving up backdoor draws+pair draws. also, idk why the AK player played it like that lmao why didn't they just jam pre to force it to heads up? The T9s hand is also just a fold pre, given the large open, and large 3b (4.5x) and comparatively small stack size (you started with like 150bb?), since there was like 70bb in the pot going to the flop, which just means you are going to have to stack off a lot of the time if you hit a pair, or fold, after putting all the money into the pot. Also, you can just never, ever, ever fold this flop after hitting two pair, that is ridiculous results oriented thinking lmao. LIke what flop were you hoping for TT9 or J87? With the AK diamonds hand, I think 4bet shove was the play. In that spot you can be confident you have two overs and by shoving you put your opponent in a spot where they are calling to flip or they are crushed. Better to put your opponent to the test with a 4bet rather than navigate postflop. U even have fold equity against pocket 9s and 10s
Yeah idk why I get so scared with AK - I've heard people say you wanna realize equity of all five cards and then as you mentioned the added fold equity

You want action, then on flop…. Pot size bet isn’t great on that flop, I’d bet small to get them to call with any two cards even raise you… then you can play for stacks.
I only raised that large to induce a call from the drunk girl... which we got! After showing so much strength on this hand (check-raising the flop and betting big on the turn) a check on the river would be strange as the villain might just check with his KK, since it has showdown value. This probably makes it look more like a value bet, where the show polarizes the bet to a flush or nothing, but I feel KKs with the diamond may call a small bet on the river, especially at this level. Who knows, villain might even shove on top of your small bet and you have to decide if he has a better flush than you do. But your read on this hand was spot on so if he was to raise on top of your small river bet, you could probably snap call and get max value.

In recent sessions - I've had a difficult time adjusting to loose maniacs (especially who are running well) and it's cost me my stack. A mistake I make is definitely loosening up my range vs specific players (e.g. the drunk girl in this session) or loose manics in general but definitely not the way to beat them Hand #6 - need to tone down the c bet with an overcard in general. Made a similar mistake two sessions ago where I should've checked back the flop: - BTN straddle, two callers for $6, I raise to $30 from MP and only the SB calls... Flop K 4 3 (two diamonds - I have Qd), SB checks I bet $20 he check-raises to $60 and I fold

If your call with 10/9 is good, ripping AA is good by the same logic (I.E. get the money in as soon as you can against a drunk player when you have a big hand). Don’t educate the fish, don’t give unasked for advice, always tell people whatever they did was fine. If your goal is to be a pro eventually…. Learn how to navigate social interactions better. @@MagikarpPoker think about adjusting in poker like a balancing game. If someone is super loose then tighten up- and vice versa if someone is too tight.

Jokes aside - definitely learning to put my ego at the door when playing and not go off my live reads (which have been wrong a majority of the time)

If your call with 10/9 is good, ripping AA is good by the same logic (I.E. get the money in as soon as you can against a drunk player when you have a big hand).
The other thing you glossed over here is that you clearly criticized his play with the Aces…. Otherwise you wouldn’t have gotten into the argument.
This is silly for multiple reasons. Don’t educate the fish, don’t give unasked for advice, always tell people whatever they did was fine.
If your goal is to be a pro eventually…. Learn how to navigate social interactions better. Being a live pro is not just about play skill, it’s also about having so called “soft” skills. You want the people at the table to like you, you want invites to private games eventually, etc.

I was arguing with the guy about how the girl made a bad play with the 77s since he was arguing that she made the right play 4 betting 77s. Him 5 bet shoving AAs was definitely the right play after her 4 bet with 77s leaving her with a little under a pot size bet left

Lol unfortunately you would not... he's a total nit and thinks he's a GTO wizard but loves talking about sports with the whole table. Honestly I was fine with him until this day... 6 hours of straight needling where he would intermittently bring up the 109 suited hand trying to admit I played it wrong was definitely not the most pleasant experience
