    on wet board textures you want to cbet small with a wide range and really be watching their body language. I know Aero told you to not use physical tells until you're more advanced, but this is one of the areas that you really want to develop that in eventually. Assuming they call ur cbet and then check the turn, you want to check your nutted flush hands and your hands that are good if the flush hasn't gotten there (k9hh on kxx for example) and then play the river based on whether they are likely to bluff. Your vulnerable flush hands (57 etc) you want to go big to charge their flush draws. If the 4th club comes on the river just check/fold. if no flush comes consider bluff catching w/ the K. If they check raise ur cbet you can pretty safely fold Using physical tells: If they react to the board that is polarizing, play accordingly If they check their cards that is almost never a made flush unless they are brand new If they look nervous that's prolly a reverse tell If they look confident you can't tell If their body language says they are folding if you breathe on pot, you might as well not breathe on pot, if they are using a reverse tell then you might as well not bet, so their polarized reaction is prolly a good place to check. You'll figure this out as you go along. Hand 1- Why are you in here? this is a tournament poker hand, not a cash game hand. Speaking of which, I really think you should check out tournament poker. There have been multiple times when you have made plays that would be good in tournament play, but not necessary in cash. Hand 3- 3 bet or fold. bet in position on the flop, you are bluffing but that's fine. hand 5- This is an interesting situation. Your analysis of the blocker bet being a "I want to see the river cheaply" is correct, and you have the nut flush draw which presumably is what he is looking to see. I think whether you reraise on the turn or let him hang himself is really dependent on the opponent. This guy I would def raise to 80~, and watch him try to bluff on the river with a much larger sizing. Vs other players idk. Another thing that these videos really demonstrate is the notion of SPR (Stack to Pot Ratio). Your bluffs don't work well when their SPR is so low. Always keep stack sizes in mind.

    Look, poker is not about the cards you are holding. Poker is about knowing how many bets are in your opponent’s stack. In limit holdem, the bet size is set. In no limit holdem, the person betting is setting the price. Once the price is set you can calculate how many bets are left in their stack. Once you know the amount of bets left, you can easily determine if the bet size is an advantage or a disadvantage to your hand. If there are too many bets left in h/is/er stack and you think you are currently ahead, then less bets favor your hand. The example being your AA vs the flopped set of 10’s, had you calculated the amount of bets left in his hand and determined that less bets is better then you would have set a better price for your hand and raised. If you had raised and set the proper price for your hand, you would have forced him into playing his hand as is the cards are face up. Understanding the price is exactly why you always hear professional poker players asking how much do you have left or how much do you have before calling pre-flop. Poker math is easy but there is a lot of it. The math that makes you understand the price you are paying or the price you are charging is probably the most important. Now, you never need to be nervous or scared in a hand ever again. A little bit of math will tell you exactly what the situation is. I only addressed your opponents stack size in this reply because your stack size should be obvious.

    it's funny. I watched the first 8 vlogs w/out really wanting to comment. You have improved a lot since then, but that means that I now want to give advice. The first AA hand you just were flying totally blind. You didn't know where you were at on any street, so by the time you got to the river there is no real way to tell if he's shoving w/ AT, JJ, QQ, KK (which you beat) or if he's takng you to value town. Your passivity on the flop and turn cost you more than a 3 bet would on those streets. Good job on improving tho, you are getting better quickly

    QQ hand VS AK By the River raise you beat 9 combos of AK, 3 combos of AQ Lost to 3 combos of AA and 3 combos of KK So yeah it’s kinda thin but seems like raising Turn was best play 12 combos beating vS 6 combos losing def missed value and will value own yourself from time to time (for hands that pay you off) You might also get looked up by the occasional A5 suited hand which is only A5 hh or A5ss here (2 more combos)

    Hand 3- I think Aero is going to not be happy with this hand. I would consider limping a mistake. on the flop I would 100% 3 bet that flop. You do not want to be in there w/ 3 other people. You're just gambling. Not being results oriented here, but this is really just gambling. You also have no idea what they could have by the end. It ended up being a very small pot, which mitigates this a bit, but this was probably a win on the flop, and you let 1 of 3 ppl realize their equity on the turn.

    Just an FYI, when you're describing a double board game, it's from the dealers perspective. So, on that first hand, you flopped second nut straight on the bottom board.

  • @EnjoiEmerica83
    @EnjoiEmerica83 9 годин тому

    What was your reasoning check raising so small on 9d turn when opp led out when you had bottom set? Then, you proceed to still bet for thin value after saying you felt he was pricing his draw (that just got there with diamond river)? Seems like a spot you’re going to get bulldozed in future getting trapped. You only beat bluffs and two pair combos, a good opp is gonna check to you often knowing you’re overvaluing 4th or 5th nuts, will do the work for them betting.

    Dude! Really. You gotta get batter at these bomb pots. You should have been betting huge all the way, unless raised. You coil have let a club roll off on that board for free that would have cost you half the pot. When you have one board locked up and the other is draw heavy you have double incentive to bet big. You’re unblocked all the two pairs up top. Also plenty of pair plus flush draws. Lots of stuff will call you down. And folding out small clubs is very valuable on the other board.

    @10:45 a couple things to unpack here: 1. If he's 3-betting over a UTG open, especially in a 1/3 game, it's almost guaranteed AK, KK, QQ, or JJ... good job not 4-betting; folding here is tough, but also not unreasonable 2. If he checks the flopped A, he's obviously scared of it, so his range is now KK, QQ, JJ... betting small (25-30%) should keep this particular player in; however, 1/3 players don't like to fold KK -- even when they're obviously behind -- so 50-75% is fine for max value for the rest of the player pool 3. Talk to Aero about YOUR possible live tells, because it's kinda sus that he would snap fold like that; we can't see most of his body, but the way his hand checked makes me think he picked up something obvious from you Good videos. Keep them up, especially as you develop. You're clearly improving, and the free advice in these comments is (mostly) helpful.

      Appreciate the analysis man! AK is probably the most controversial hand I get in the comments... I get a lot of heat for flat calling in certain situations. I've experimented with playing AK more aggressively 3 and 4 betting and it tends to cost me. Same with QQs-AAs since I've been getting them cracked or running into better hands which means I might just be overplaying them.

    im ngl idk if i would have called that jam with two pair, i guess you were at that table so you know how your opponent was playing, sometimes they will show you Jack queen for the straight, I mean cbet to 100 on 90 and then jamming i think jack queen, ace 10 pocket kings, pockets 10s was def on his range, good call, i guess your gut told you to, also he was short stacked, Im not sure what i would have done.

    Profitable poker is often boring. Nobody goes to the cardroom thinking "I'm going to fold 85+% of the hands dealt to me," but if you're willing to do that, play tight preflop, you'll be avoiding the biggest mistake fish make (getting involved in too many hands).

    When someone says a poker session was boring, thats the thinking of a recreational player looking for entertainment in poker. A serious player looks to make correct decisions for longterm profit, not looks to be entertained. Although, a serious player himself can make it entertaining for recreationals by being somewhat social. But thats different.

      @michaelognar 2 дні тому

      @@MagikarpPoker no! but kj and qj suited I’d say are more premium hands in 1-3 as long as the opener isn’t a SUPER NIT. bad players are going to be opening much worser hands and if you can play better cards in position to isolate then that’s profitable. don’t want it to only be queens-aces. “Balancing” would be more stuff like 45 suited-910 suited that type of stuff.

    Great vlog! Sometimes your raise sizes seem inconsistent. Do you have a standard preflop raising amount (i.e. open for $15 and add $3-$5 per limper and add $3-$5 if out of position SB-UTG+1)? I used to open to 125% of the pot in all positions except the cut off and button (which was 100% pot). Now, I usually open for $15 in all positions and add $5 for every two limpers (rounding up) and adding $5 when in the SB, BB, UTG, and UTG+1. In position, my three-bets are 100% pot-sized raises and out of position, my three-bets are 125% pot.

    You said you were going to avoid bomb pots. I try to avoid them also. Curious, does your casino's play a bomb pot every dealer change? That is what is common here in Florida, double board bomb pot every dealer change.

    Profitable poker can get boring, that’s why you gotta make the best of your good hands left the table yesterday.. in for $500 out for $1600 after 4 hours and I think I played maybe 10 hands, never been that card dead but won some big pots when I had hands

      Card dead means that u dont get any good hands to win big pots with. U were not card dead. U caught some cards. In fact, u ran extremely well since u won big pots with the few hands u caught.
