    Thank you very much for this video. Such good detail on the removal makes it so the new install isn't really necessary. So, no problem there. I just got a used 2012 Touring 200, and the entire car is damn good, except for this issue. They told me about the issue up front. I'm surprised they didn't just fix it.
    But, the WHOLE A/C (all vents) are blowing even warm air. I'm thinking the A/C system, including a charge, is also in need of service. The warranty says that it covers A/C. They told me that it would "except" for these blend doors. I hope they honor the recharge work at least.
    Thanks again

    C&C ...is there ever a need in this series of Chryslers (my 200 is a 2013 year model) to calibrate or clock the HVAC system after R & R of blend door actuators?
    EDIT follows below:
    After reading through more Comments and Replies I believe the actuator I need to replace is the exact same as in this vid. Also I now recall it is clicking upon activating or activation of the Recirculation On-Off feature/control.
    As a compliment to all said here I will add that I received this 2013 Chrysler in May 2019 it had 85K miles on the clock. In just a short two days the clicking began up under the dash left side. Dealer was fair and honest and had that one replaced. Then within a few months winter hit and the blend door actuator failed and I had no heat. I presume that's the one left of the glovebox/heater core location, once again my sympathetic dealer had this one R & R'd at no cost to me.
    Now within a month or less the one in this video (Recirc. Actuator) is shot.
    I'm going to attempt the R & R myself on this one.
    By the by, the dealer is '66 Auto Sales' in Kingman, AZ Very pleased to give them a 'Thumbs Up'.

    Do you have any tips for troubleshooting the right rear door sensor on the same car. The light & dome lights stay on when door is closed. The "door" indicator on dash stays on too.

    • @CharlesAndCars
      @CharlesAndCars  4 роки тому +1

      You would need to find a wiring diagram that shows that door sensor and determine if the switch is not showing closed when the door is closed. It should also allow you to "close" the circuit through the wiring and see if the light goes off when you do that. Don't know much about the wiring for that off the top of my head.

    What is that teather for??? And also what are the timing marks on the part that you replaced? I guess it can only go one way, because of the teeth are missing on the door and the motor unit, and it has to go in one way.....My door is shut when the motor is removed..does it stay that way while installing the new motor assy.?

      My 2013 200 needs the same R & R of this actuator. I believe this is the one that controls the RECIRCULATION mode. If I hear the clicking sound I can get it to stop by pressing the Recirculation control button. Oddly the noise occurs when I have the car key out of the ignition and the doors are closed and I'm by chance standing nearby when I hear the clicking for a few seconds. I guess some computer is sensing some aspect of the ambient temp or position of the HVAC controls and then sends a signal to the actuator to respond accordingly.
      OR?

      I really don't think it's heater core. This is a common problem and I have no solution yet. I have a call in to Chrysler & you should call too. They should find a solution and then recall. People have flushed heater core, replaced heater core with no luck after spending $1500-$2000.

    • @CharlesAndCars
      @CharlesAndCars  6 років тому +3

      Don't remember what the symptoms were, but it's very possible that one side would be cold and the other hot. There are 3 actuators in the car and 1 is for the blend door... If it's not working then you very well could get split between hot and cold.

    • @CharlesAndCars
      @CharlesAndCars  6 років тому +1

      You hear no clicking at all? Heat is the same no matter which mode you're in? There are 3 different actuators, (blend door, recirculation, and mode). I believe, if I remember correctly, the blend door actuator is the one behind the glovebox to the left of the HVAC distribution... the recirculation actuator is to the right behind the glovebox... What you can do is swap them to see if that corrects the heat issue... (all 3 in the car are the same). If that corrects the heat issue then you'll know that the one originally to the left of the HVAC distribution (blend door actuator) was bad...
