There are many opinions in the world today about who Jesus is. Some say He is just a prophet, some say He is a created being, some don’t believe in Him at all. But exactly who is Jesus? The apostle John goes into great detail in John 1 about the true identity and deity of Jesus. Pastor Gary points out five things that John explains about the identity of Jesus. It is essential to have a proper understanding of Jesus in order to understand salvation that came through Him!

Jesus' words in John 8:58 have been misinterpreted to mean that Jesus is claiming to be Jehovah of the Old Testament. Jesus is talking about his prehuman existence, not claiming to be God. The Greek expression in this verse (ego eimi) is very different from the Hebrew expression found in Exodus 3:14 where Jehovah says, “I am who I am” or, according to some versions, "I will be what I will be." Some Bibles correctly translate Jesus' words in John 8:58 to proper English as "Before Abraham existed, I have been" or "I existed before Abraham was born." In fact, in John 17:3, Jesus referred to his Father in prayer as the “only true God.”

When I did a word study of all the books of John I thought the main word would be faith. I was wrong. It was truth. So now I refer to Biblical truth as Truth. Because Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

John 1:1 .....the " beginning" here is meaning " the start of Jesus's ministry" NOT the beginning of all things!
Dear Pastor Hamrick - I thought that John was the only disciple who died of old age rather than as a martyr. Please can you clarify why you think he was martyred. Love your teaching. Our bible study group is just commencing the study of the gospel of John and will be listening to your sessions on this book to help us.
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, He is God, and he created the world, and holds the world in place.Jesus said I and the Father are one.
If anyone, after listening to Gary's message, still fails to see, or refuses to see, how Jesus is fully God, there can be no hope for that person.
Gary mentioned how Muslims see Jesus as just a prophet like Muhammad. A Muslim man asked for friendship with me on Facebook, a few years ago. I accepted him because, although I knew he would try to proselytize me, it would give me an opportunity to share the Gospel with him. During our talk I asked him if he believes Jesus was a prophet of God .He agreed that He was. So I asked him if he believes the things that Jesus taught. He said he does not. I then said that if he doesn't believe Jesus' teachings, then he must believe Jesus to be a liar. Why would God send a liar to be His prophet? Silence. Then he said, "Islam is the oldest religion in the world." It actually isn't but further discussion was impossible because he removed me as a friend.
Is there a study about the John 1 too? Because here i find obly the prolog, the beginning but the study does not continue. The next is John 2

I'm just trying to understand here the four symbols you propose in this video are not the same as what I've been taught the only one that matches is John the eagle. from what I thought Matthew was the angel, Mark was the lion, Luke was the ox (or calf), and John was the eagle. Could you please clarify why your teachings are different from conventional teachings. I'm in no way trying to argue or anything, I'm just trying to learn and understand. I’m sorry pastor but your understanding of LDS belief that Jesus is not God is inaccurate. Since I am a former member of the LDS church I can adamantly state that the LDS people absolutely believe Jesus is God. You may want to check out Dr Michael Heisers teachings re the council of Gods and sons of gods. I no longer believe in Joseph Smith nor the Book of Mormon but have always always always been taught that Jesus was the only begotten son of Father and a member of the Godhead meaning he is God. I am looking forward to Jesus returning and straightening us all out on false doctrines and beliefs. Yours and mine and Catholics and LDS, etc. We all are in need of correction. And as long as we are humble the Holy Spirit can guide us to truth. May God continue to bless you.

the ego or King of AI or seed of the serpent is overcome by the SEED of the woman (Eve, Israel, Judah/David) because they 1) TOOK A VOW TO DO SO, and 2) Because this is the PATTERN OF HOW YHVH WORKS in his people determined from the beginning: He set that ENMITY (EGO, built by the carnal sensual 5 senses, mind) to be overcome by the FIVE SPIRITUAL SENSES that rise above the EGO and LIVE IN THE PRESENCE OF YHVH from that point forward:
Lab BaOmer, the revelation of the INNER dimension of Torah, the JOY OF THE TORAH is revealing the SOUL of the Torah, the part that remains HIDDEN for six days, during the time of the ego: The celebration is because this ENEMY is destroyed:
why does it include the "little ones"? These are the SEED of YHVH, the NEW GENERATION of the SOUL, hence a child shall lead them. Another Picture of Jesus the CHILD born through David/Mary overcoming the EGO: Paul who was Saul (ask, beg, desire) means "little" for that reason: The soul begins small but soon in its victory over the ego, it GROWS into the FULL stature of the INNER MAN of the heart THE ISHYOWN of YHVHS EYE):
But if Jesus is God, how could he die on the cross?
God the Son was born into this world through through the Virgin Mary…truly a miracle. He is fully God and fully Man. In His humanity He died on the cross to redeem us from the kingdom of darkness, through taking the punishment on Himself that we deserve as sinners.
Logos means "power" of God, and is an "it" not "he"!

Logos does not meen Jesus! John did not say "Jesus is the logos"!
The English translation of Logos is the Word. Jesus is the Word of God and is Himself God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Three Persons in one God. It’s a concept difficult to understand.

Yes Jesus taught things and you don’t even have to believe he was alive. It’s the teachings that matter for us to make our own heaven on earth like it was intended to be.
What do we have to do to achieve this?
We ALL need to be active in being helpful kind compassionate forgiving unified equality thoughtful peaceful empathy and love in all aspects of our lives. We should be acting feeling thinking breathing speaking in our heart and soul.
Walk the walk talk the talk like he did. It’s that simple. If your finding bad thoughts or actions creep in, catch them and change it to a positive or get family or professional help to work through them.
The dead in Christ is the start of the Christ consciousness the awakening which began in 2012. The Bride was 33 then. The same age Christ died. Meeting Christ in the air implied the consciousness was all over the earth available for those hearts & souls opened to receive it.
People who believe in the Bible, this is a hard pill to swallow but truth is always better out in the light than hidden from you. The Roman Empire has done some very bad things to make themselves more powerful and rich. This includes changes to the Bible. They have taken out the female and made her the bad one. They have changed genders from she’s to he’s. They mix lies within truths.
The Old Testament god Yahweh Yaldabaeoth Samael Jehovah is Satan, the loving God is in the New Testament that does not murder or punish but forgives and loves is the Almighty God. Only someone evil will kill punish and have wrath. Judge people including people in the Bible by their actions. This is how you use discernment. Put these people in your mind as if it’s today, would you bow down to someone who is murdering first born babies?
For earth to be balanced it needs harmony amongst people in all the good aspects I mentioned above. Care for the planet the water the plants and animals.
When we live in love and not hate we don’t have sickness or diseases.
Now isn’t this sound better than what we are living in now?
When this goes out of wack Mother Nature gives us warnings, when we don’t adhere to them then there is a reset, a wipe out, start from scratch.
We are coming close to this time. 2029 is our deadline. Start making changes NOW for our children’s sake Let us be our own kids saviors for them❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@elizabethwells5759I agree with Andrew Elizabeth. Jesus is Lord, King, Master, Leader…but not God. He is the word made flesh (the expression of God made flesh) or as Justin martyr called the “logos” - “reason”. Reason made flesh. This is how the “son” was revealed in Paul and you can “awaken” to righteousness. It’s not a matter of “laws”. It’s a matter of reason. Grace & truth. However Jesus being God’s character made flesh, he was a man like you and me. Tempted by Satan like men, by flesh like men, but never once stumbled and BECAME perfect (Hebrews 5:9) by his perfect obedience TO GOD - even obedience to death on a cross. Jesus loves you so much. He did this for you, and God loves you so much, He made him for you. His character was revealed in this man. God then rose this MAN up FROM THE DEAD. A MAN!!! You would realize the authority that God has given MAN in these last times
