My only issue is we Muslims did believe in the Torah revealed to Moses but the original scriptures, Psalms revealed to David, but the original scriptures, and Gospel revealed to Jesus but the original scriptures. The current Bible with all due respect has been changed and adulterated I'm afraid. Also the books, I mentioned were revealed to those people, at that time like the Gospel for the Children of Israel not for you or me. May Allah Almighty open your eyes otherwise Mathew 13:13
the beginning: In the Scriptures, the meaning of the term “beginning” depends on the context. Here the Greek word ar·khe cannot refer to “the beginning”
of God the Creator, for he is eternal, having no beginning. (Ps 90:2) It must, therefore, refer to the time when God be- gan creating. God’s first creation was termed the Word, a heavenly designa- tion of the one who became Jesus. (Joh 1:14-17) So Jesus is the only one who can rightly be called “the firstborn of all creation.” (Col 1:15) He was “the begin- ning of the creation by God” (Re 3:14), so he existed before other spirit creatures and the physical universe were created. In fact, by means of Jesus, “all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth.”-Col 1:16; for other exam- ples of how the term “beginning” is used, see study note on Joh 6:64.
the Word: Or “the Logos.” Greek, ho logos. Here used as a title, it is also used at Joh 1:14 and Re 19:13. John identified the one to whom this title belongs, name- ly, Jesus. This title was applied to Jesus during his prehuman existence as a spir- it creature, during his ministry on earth as a perfect man, and after his exaltation to heaven. Jesus was God’s Word of com- munication, or Spokesman, for conveying
information and instructions to the Cre- ator’s other spirit sons and to humans. So it is reasonable to think that prior to Jesus’ coming to earth, Jehovah on many occasions communicated with mankind through the Word, His angelic mouth- piece.-Ge 16:7-11; 22:11; 31:11; Ex 3:2-5; Jg 2:1-4; 6:11, 12; 13:3.

the Word was a god: Or “the Word was divine [or, “a godlike one”].” This state- ment by John describes a quality or characteristic of “the Word” (Greek, ho logos; see study note on the Word in this verse), that is, Jesus Christ. The Word’s preeminent position as the firstborn Son of God through whom God created all other things is a basis for describing him as “a god; a godlike one; divine; a divine being.” Many translators favor the ren- dering “the Word was God,” equating him with God Almighty. However, there are good reasons for saying that John did not mean that “the Word” was the same as Almighty God. First, the preceding clause and the following clause both clearly state that “the Word” was “with God.” Also, the Greek word the·os occurs three times in verses 1 and 2. In the first and third occurrences, the·os is preceded by the definite article in Greek; in the second occurrence, there is no article.
Many scholars agree that the absence of the definite article before the second the·os is significant. When the article is used in this context, the·os refers to God Almighty. On the other hand, the absence of the article in this grammati- cal construction makes the·os qualitative in meaning and describes a characteristic of “the Word.” Therefore, a number of Bi- ble translations in English, French, and German render the text in a way similar to the New World Translation, conveying the idea that “the Word” was “a god; divine; a divine being; of divine kind; godlike.” Supporting this view, ancient translations of John’s Gospel into the Sahidic and the Bohairic dialects of the Coptic lan- guage, probably produced in the third and fourth centuries C.E., handle the first occurrence of the·os at Joh 1:1 differently from the second occurrence. These ren- derings highlight a quality of “the Word,” that his nature was like that of God, but they do not equate him with his Father, the almighty God. In harmony with this verse, Col 2:9 describes Christ as having “all the fullness of the divine quality.” And according to 2Pe 1:4, even Christ’s joint heirs would “become sharers in divine na- ture.” Additionally, in the Septuagint translation, the Greek word the·os is the usual equivalent of the Hebrew words ren- dered “God,” el and elo·him, which are thought to convey the basic meaning “Mighty One; Strong One.” These Hebrew words are used with reference to the al- mighty God, other gods, and humansJWORG❤

I cannot express how hard and stressful life is for me right now. I work 16hr days 6 days a week, and have to sleep in a room at the back of my work because I don't have a car to get home to my wife and kids(our one car broke down, and i dont have the money to fix it). My dad recently passed, and I'm trying to take care of my sick elderly mom by myslef. The stress is overwhelming, and I don't know how I'm going to get by day to day. Each night, I watch this and study my bible while I lay here in this backroom. The Lord is my only hope and only strength in this dark, lonely time. Thank you for this movie. Jesus has gotten me this far, and I know he will get me through the rest. Please brothers and sisters, pray for my family.

My mom gets up every day at 3 am to talk to Jesus. I know that's it her prayers that have kept me going. My grandma taught my mom to talk to Jesus. A few weeks ago my grandma was diagnosed with cancer, last night my grandma was talking to Jesus and He told her He had healed her. All the pain is gone. We woke up at 3 am to talk to Jesus and thank Him. Please join me in thanking Him and making my grandma's miracle whole.

I was homeless in and out of jails and prisons ever since I can remember as a little kid I was haunted with depression. I have tried everything all forms of religion atheism prescribed medication, in prescribed medication and then I called out to Jesus and He changed my heart and the whole course of my life. Half measures don’t work though if you call out to Him it must be with full commitment and obedience to wherever He calls you.

Imagine a man who was present during Jesuss’ lifetime. What you said @Meerkat101 is the absolute truth and that the way to heaven was only through the messiah Jesus. But we as humans living in the 21st century have a different prophet to follow who has paved a path to heaven sent by the same God who sent jesus. When I lost 2 of my 3 sons, a pastor told me to read the book of John… I did and it saved my life… I wanted to commit suicide because I didn’t know better and thought I was being punished for MY sins through the loss of my sons… I got mad at God and asked him not to punish my sons but to punish me instead.. after reading the book of John I realized that it wasn’t God that I should blame as they went to be w God as they came… I am blessed that God knows my sons and they suffer no more… I do daily bible studies and have grown closer to our father so that I could be closer to my sons … I can now feel my sons in my heart and I am so blessed for that… it is because of God that I can feel them now, as before all I could feel and see was my own pain… I am so thankful to have a relationship with Jesus and God the Father … not only did he carry me the 3 1/2 years I stayed in bed he let me know that anytime I needed him he was there…I miss my sons but I know because Jehovah said that we will see them again and it gave me hope I never knew I had… My sons have taken me to God and that’s the best blessing of them all… Thank you God in your precious son Jesus name… amen 🙏🏼

The gospel of John is probably my favorite book in the Bible because not only is it beautifully written, but Christ's compassion, love, and mercy is showcased in full display in this gospel. If there is one book in the Bible every Christian should read, it's John.

I just want to mention that watching this series of movies about Jesus' life as told in the Bible helped me get through each day and night. Every night, I had a sound sleep and remembered the scriptures so clearly. I'll never forget how much I was going through. This helped me get through my problems because I had never experienced anxiousness before. Nothing in this world is too large for God to handle. Jesus gave his life in order for us to receive his spirit, and he has all authority. I'm very glad that our God is forgiving and kind. Thank you, Jesus. I love you.
I love Jesus so much. Can you just imagine how He felt when His Mom asked Him to turn the water into wine? It was not His desire to do this at this time. He let her have her wish. Jesus is so kind and respectful of women. He has shown me so much compassion and understanding, far surpassing anything from anyone I have ever known, including my own understanding of myself. How He loves us is beyond words. Hate may have put Him on the cross but Love for us kept Him there. Thank you God for giving us Jesus.

I just want to say this series of movies that portrayed Jesus life through scripture was one of the ways I was able to get through every day and night I watched it. I fell asleep peacefully every night and remembered the scriptures so well throughout my day. I will never forget how much I was going through. I never experienced anxiety before and this helped me get through my troubles. Nothing In this world is too big enough for God to not handle. Since I first watched this around 5 years ago when it was on Netflix, I’ve searched repeatedly for it. However, I could only ever find it in Apple TV which I don’t have.
Then today, on a day when I was _really_ struggling with my own cross, and, I’m ashamed to say, near to despair. I was searching for something to distract me and I typed “bad day at black rock” into UA-cam.
As I swiped across the results, I quickly realised that there was no full version of that movie… only clips. I continued to swipe left and there, among the movie clips I mentioned, was this *truly wonderful adaptation* of the Gospel.
At precisely the moment it was required, there was the hand I needed to bare me up and help me along.
I’ve just finished watching it again and would like to offer grateful thanks to the producers, this channel and, the _first being last,_ thanks to Our Lord.
