- In his second teaching in the Gospel of John David Guzik takes a deeper look into how Jesus, the Son of God, was revealed to John the Baptist.
Here is a link to David Guzik's commentary on John 1: enduringword.com/bible-commen...
I am so enjoying David Guzik, whom I used during 10 weeks of in-depth bible studies. Now, I want to read the whole bible because I know he is teaching the word of God. Passing it on to some friends, this is a lifetime's work and particularly love the ones on video over the written. >3
You're so kind, thank you for this wonderful message!
Wow this was so amazing. The Word of God is so beautiful. Unlike anything i've ever read, because GOD is the author! All Glory to Him. Amen
I love your teaching, all glory to god of course the way you allow God to speak through you, so kind but bold and humble that takes God. I pray one day we can come and be in your church service.

What up pastor David! It’s Josh John and Denise son. It’s been a long time. I think the last time I saw you was at Bible college in Germany. Feels like forever ago! Hope all is well with you and the family. Any how Im currently doing a personal study in the book of John and your video was recommended to me on UA-cam. Good to see your still teaching and preaching solid content. 🙏

🙌 Thank you for your kind words and your support.
How can you say that ''God the son'' was revealed to John the baptist, when John clearly identified him as the ''son of God'' or as the ''Lamb of God''.

I am given to understand that John the Baptiser already knew of Jesus, by nature of his kinship, being a cousin!
It certainly is reasonable to think that John did know Jesus as man and as a cousin, but apparently not as Messiah.
Here's an interesting passage that points that out.
Blessings!
John 1:29-34 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who [k]is preferred before me, for He was before me.’ 31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”
32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him. 33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”

Am I expected to believe that that a common bird was actually a divine or supernatural spirit? We're not doves or pigeons not used as sacrificial offering to God. Even by Mary?
@@edwardlongfellow5819saying "like a dove" while specifically stating that you are referring to the Holy Spirit is not the same as saying "that a dove" while ignoring the reference to the Holy Spirit.
@@ChristisLord2023
If John is trying to convince that a common bird was in reality a supernatural being in disguise then I'm afraid it does not convince.
@@edwardlongfellow5819 John 1:32Then John testified, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove and resting on Him.
Descending like a dove doesn't say that it was a dove or that it was a bird at all. It describes the descent itself, not the appearance of the spirit.
Sorry, Jesus isn’t God, nor equal to God. He called our God and Father his God and Father at John 20:17.

1 Corinthians 8:4-6
4 Now concerning the eating of food offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world and that there is no God but one. 5 For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him.
