Allegedly the reason the reactor was on full power at night was to power the woodpecker radar.

We did a proper tour and the guide was saying the whole reason Chernobyl was built is for the nuclear reactors to power the woodpecker

I booked a 5 day trip to kyiv ans Chernobyl back in late 2021. I should have been there for the end of July 2022.
