I worked for a courier company back in the early 2000s. They had a Micra, 5 speed manual, no aircon, no frills. It carried parcels. It was also good for 185kmh. I'd come up behind someone doing the speed limit and drop back to a 100. As soon I had a spot to pass, back to 4th and doing 130 by the time I was past them. I usually chanfed gear at their driver's door just for fun.
Such a nuts little car. Its such a mammoth achievement to make a lame shopping trolley into a goliath killer. Kudos to everyone involved with it. Speaking of killer, i hate being a debbie downer, but that rocket is soooo far too fast for that rollcage, those a pillar bars are puss. Keep safe cobb.
The little Micra that could. Well done Sean, next year will be even better 🔥 Great video Woody! thanks for keeping my head out of the shot as much as possible😅
I'm a massive k11 micra fan having used my mother's when I first passed my test then later buying same car and doing an event called the 999 challenge where you race on a drag strip and then a timed slalom however the car was finished in a budger manor just stripped to with an inch of it's life but the mag pulled the event due to insurance reasons so we broke it for spares as nd scrapped the shell was fun in its stripped out form and was quite quick for a one litre .
What a sick little car. Would love to see more like this. Especially around the learning process behind some of the challenges of getting builds like this together.
My first car was a boxy Nissan Micra 1.2 SS with a carb and whopping 54 horsepowers. 745 kilos and skinny tires - lots of "fun" when crosswinds are pushing you around. I really can't imagine such a shoebox with 500 horsepower. 😲
There was a Micra in the UK many years ago that started off similar - nicknamed Little Bandit. It had an SR20DE from a Nissan Almera GTi (also known as the Pulsar elsewhere), with turbo strapped to it. That thing was nuts but was setup as a sleeper, this seem to have taken Little Bandit's ethos and taken it to the next step!
I had a micra, it was a real little shitbox, drove like a marshmallow, but I loved it! Reliable and functional and you never had to drive it fast to feel that you were at the limit 😂
know where you are at, my car has been over 25 years in the "R&D" phase. I would hate to sit down and work out what i have spent just in parts. then there's all the time invested. wouldn't change a thing
Hey is Sean lurking around here? is he still a full time auto electrician?? I'm in Brisbane and need a Haltec wired up. if you are keen let me know mate
Completely different video format to your normal videos. Mate, you bloody nailed it. Absolutely great video and perspective of WTAC. Hats off Woody.

Thank you for your story
Car sounds like a piece of shit though....
185...that's cute.
@@mynameis63 Yep. It's also fast when you're driving past bullocks that are bigger than the car at 160.
Slow car fast. Turns every highway into a racetrack!
Even funnier when its the friday afternoon van rush back home haha
I like this format. Very similar to Bad Obsession Motorsport in their interview style with their friends. Keep it up Woody.
Nice look behind the scenes. Thanks woody👍
Great to see an old ball car mixing it up with some of the fastest in the world, thx for the behind the scene. ❤❤
Long time watcher, first time commenter. One of your best yet
Well done Woody great vid on an everyday guy chasing his dreams and achieving them. Now he can relax and have more fun ... 👍

Thank you, Woody and crew.

It’s a good point regarding the cage.
It’s a N1 Micra cup cage from the 90’s so it could definitely have a freshen up.
❤ Always wanted too see GTIR version. Honestly I think this is better well done mate love it!! Nice work on the vids Woody 🤘
Love the format and his attitude 👏👏👏
Awesome effort Sean! It was impressive in its previous guise, now it's approaching peak Micra! Another great video Woody!

Really cool video and a really cool car. Woot!
Killer episode!! Did enjoy!
I really really liked this episode style and flow
Should do a colab with greg @ the lab with the 1000bhp march. Love to see a trackday with you both.
Would love that!
Freaking awesome car. Thanks for the great video.
This is probably the best video since your transition.
What car would you build and Race at WTAC?
Barra powered crown wagon
Barra engine TE Ford Cortine or a turbo 202ci Holden Gemini coupe
@@raddeal1😂😂😂 I’d need a lot of weight reduction!
My 280ZX
@@ashleyrankin2456 the pulsar has a good centre gravity

Quality update Woody. Needed more of your rude head in it to make it feel like a real Skid Factory though bro ;) Cheers
Would be a dream to race lil feral at WTAC. Hopefully one day I'll do my new engine and get a run with Sean around Lakeside.
Great story. Great video. Does Sean have a UA-cam channel?
Sensational ep Woody

Hey is Sean lurking around here? is he still a full time auto electrician?? I'm in Brisbane and need a Haltec wired up. if you are keen let me know mate
mabe next at nurburgring
Yes you can do it for cheaper, but you also run with fewer safetys... then again some others are throwing the blank cheques around.
Needs a proper diff not bigger tyres :P Well done though man
Currently looking for a plated diff as the nismo diff isn’t loving life 😂
42k to go that fast is CHEAP. Great effort.
Woody, you must be getting bored with butter chicken?
2 weeks in a row now 😂 😂
👍👌🍺
$42k a big spend on a Micra
You'd be hard pressed to go faster for the money
As I said, its far to much but this is over 7 years with r and d 😅
Moist
Aero is gimmick.... literally every race car has one 😂😂😂😂😂
