Leftists with power: "I pulled myself up. I was an innovator."

That's people no matter what side there on
Pulled himself up by his bootstraps
Why is this an unwarranted criticism? "You didn't build that" is not a bipartisan talking point.
@@KamilDeKerel Why not? It's indicative of a leftist's beliefs when said leftist gains an ounce of power or wealth. It happens to literally ALL of them. Remember when 'Ol Bernie used to shake his cane at millionaires and then when he became a multi-home owning millionaire he changed his schtick to rambling about billionaires? How about all the individuals writing about gatekeeping in cultural products in the early 2000's? All of those people now write articles on how we need to keep certain people out of cultural products. Every. Single. Time.
Creating Hasanabi is Destiny's one unforgiveable sin.
He boosted Hasan but Hasan already had a presence beforehand. Vaush on the other hand, Destiny has a lot more role in creating.
Destiny’s worst decision was helping 90% of these people. Hasan, birthing vaush, promoting demon mama, the serfs etc. Everyone of them have done nothing but back stab him and try to ruin his life. Sad to see honestly

Does it annoy anybody that Hasan's community refuses to engage with Destiny (but constantly fires potshots) under the guise of "no free clout?" Hasan only social climbs and begs big creators to come on and talks about clout 24/7, but Destiny constantly hosts small streamers and creates careers. Hasan had 50 viewers playing fortnite before Destiny took him under his wing as a friend. I am a nihilist now after following Destiny for a while, holy shit these are bad people.
“Hey, that’s a great idea! Glad I thought of it!” 🗿 is a top 3 villainous character cliche in the history of multimedia, to the point it’s become a cartoonish caricature
The thing where Hasan went off on that trans person who basically said "you're not as good of a debater or as knowledgeable as Vaush on trans issues" was really fucked. When I saw that shit for the first time, I was actually surprised. It was such a straightforward confirmation that he is not a good person. I actually appreciate the fact that he let so many people know in one fell swoop.

It's about winning, doesn't matter what, it's about winning.

I can’t believe you actually got banned on Twitch and people are celebrating it. I’m not the biggest fan of everything you say and do but you paved the path for online gaming+politics. The people that have come into this space are ungrateful as hell, acting like they could be doing what they’re doing without you.
I'm a little confused with how Hasan says he graduated from Rutgers and struggled looking for jobs in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. It was like 2013/2014 when he graduated... I feel like that's not really in the "aftermath of the financial crisis" as he puts it... the economy had moderately recovered by then.
If you frame it from the perspective of everything he does is to try and farm sympathy/clout then it makes sense. He really doesn't want the perception of himself to be that hes rich he really wants to try and come off as a working class person.
the amount of fucking shit he stated that wasn't really the way it ACTUALLY was is kinda infuriating and will blacken your soul if you think about it too much. hasan truly is the essence of all that is wrong on the internet.
His job seeking: hey uncle cenk...I've got like opinions and stuff about fuck America, how we deserved 9/11 and lifestyle stuff like how to pick up chicks ya know...oh and I've got a lot of experience as a club promoter so do you think you can hand me some screen time?
Cenk: yeah OF COURSE! Why would I go look for qualified people? They're just gonna question me if I'm wrong? RIGHT?
Hasan: ....earned it.
Lmao I noticed that cos I graduated in 2009 we only do 3 years in Europe (unless language or specialist undergrad) and I'm at least 4-5 years older than him, absolutely no idea what he's talking about we got jobs fine out of uni.

Hasan got to be one of the most ingenuine humans Ive ever seen. The guy is so fake. This is like one level away from saying he invented the breathing. It's just not true.

@@Snowstorm_ICE come-on bro just let me say the n word
Someone should make a radiant historia type game with this. Because its possible.
I played multiple sports in the 90's in school and hung with the "jocks" and I never met anyone who didn't enjoy some kind of video game. We had post tournament parties and we would be so tired from playing double headers or more that we would end up just gaming all night. We traveled all across the Midwest and found the same everywhere we went. This idea that gaming instantly made you a nerd is one of the biggest twists of reality out there. "I liked video games before they were cool" bullshit, they were always fun and cool to play in moderation. My older brother was the football star of our school and even in the 80's I remember him and his football buddies playing video games on the weekends. Nerds typically did poor in social environments so alot of them got way too deep into gaming, comic books, and so on, and he's conflated that type of person with everyone else. All he really said in this video is that he had a standard childhood then was handed everything on a silver spoon from his uncle and others in the space already, yet somehow made it seem like he paved his own way. Dude is really out there.
I like how he is able to spin his bullshit and lies with some nicely veiled truths.
I also graduated in 2008 and I can attest it was a horrible time to graduate and hit the job market. Like Hasan I feel for me I got lucky and it worked out for the best for me. I would imagine having Uncle Chunk made things quite easier.

You can’t help but feel sorry for destiny. Imagine helping build competing channels only for them to rig pull and completely disavow you. Destiny, Hasan, and vaush are all so politically similar. Hasan here, despite the videos of saying he figured it all out on his own when he streamed clips saying destiny helped him out is just heart breaking. I know destiny laughs through it, but if I was in the same position I’d absolutely lose it. Vaush similarly calls him right wing now/that he hates transgender people because of his trans athlete positions, which I think every honest actor would admit it’s a legitimately complicated situation. It sucks the left is so hell bent on eating each other, it’s probably why we’ll actually never get anything actually accomplished

Is anyone else amazed by Hasan's personality shift after becoming successful? I remember he was goofy with dumb opinions but generally harmless, and was friendly / cool and networking with Twitch people through Destiny. But now that he's a big streamer, he's constantly angry and spiteful, insulting everybody, insulates himself like a professional carpenter, and talks about clout more than anybody. Anybody that disagrees with him is an alt right nazi that wants his clout, but if you can't call them those and they're bigger than you (twomad) just ignore and pray people forget.
What a genuinely bad and dishonest guy. There's an alternate reality where Destiny didn't gift him a career. The world is a sad place.
Yeah Hasan obviously used people to get what he wanted. He did that with Cenk so he just kept doing that with twitch as hard as he good. His kindness is fake to get him where he wants and now that he is in his ivory tower he just says "fuck you im better than you screw you all" Its beyond pathetic and money will never make him who he thinks he is.
Yeah, the state of online politics made me stop watching almost all cont creators, i occasionally watch some of destiny though. But the consept that the goodness or quality of your character doesn't matter at all if you are willing to virtue signal political positions drives me insane when so many of these people are unable to defend their positions in an argument or just lack the understanding of the core issues.
He's insecure, vain, and egomaniacal. Everything is about how he is perceived by others.
Not a bad guy imo ,commenters like to make stereotypes out of everyone. He should work on his attitude yes like many people.
I’m relatively new to dgg and I knew about the lore of Destiny bringing Hasan up, but my god I never really knew, those clips were like an alternate reality. No idea how Hasan can really live with himself it’s actually crazy. A true Obi-wan and Anakin relationship.
I would have expected nothing less, he's the rich nephew of a genocide denialist.
Destiny was the best and worst thing to happen to Twitch and anything relating to their politics. He was the one who actually paved the way for it, but also created a platform on Twitch where all the worst people in politics could thrive, such as Vaush, Hasan, and Demonmama. He also created Hasan and heavily helped Vaush "blow up" in a sense. He's unintentionally caused the worst parts of the Twitch politics community to fester. A lot of the political Twitch streamers, whether they like him or hate him, took cues from his work. They followed how he debates, what words he uses, etc. Even now, they're still basically growing their dictionary by repeating shit he says. Remember how nobody said gaslighting until he used it on someone? Nobody used stochastic terrorism until Destiny called Demonmama one in a prime panel and then everyone added that to their dictionary. Dude sadly paved the way for tons of grifters and bad people.
It's a very weird situation we have here. He's so heavily influential that we can legitimately see people, even his haters, form arguments and use words based on him letting people know they exist. Prime's panels are a very good example of this. Whenever Destiny is not on, you see tons of small "political' Twitch streamers getting invited to show how obviously ignorant they are about nearly every subject, showing they're just grifting on that money train by choosing politics as their IN for their Twitch business.
Then you see Vaush doing the same hasan while the people he builds up do the same as hasan to him. Dont get me wrong im sure its bad blood on both ends, shits funny to watch though.
i have never heard hasan act more "👨❤️👨" and bubbly than when he was friends with destiny

Hasan is just such a hard-working honest American with Turkish roots who has proven that the American dream does exist. He’s an entrepreneur pur sang, a true visionary whose ideas have been materialized due to the glory of American capitalism
But seriously though, it’s sad to see those first clips and realize that political disagreements have ruined a once great friendship. On the one hand, I feel like we all need to chill and not take everything so seriously, but on the other hand, politics is very important and can be a genuine reason to break off a friendship/relationship.
I personally struggle with this a lot. I am fairly progressive while a couple of friends of mine are pretty conservative. No real BIG ideological differences but the tension is definitely palpable at times. However, when we’re NOT talking about politics and just hanging around doing fun stuff, we completely match with each other. It’s a strange dichotomy
lol true
Lmao it's not true that "political disagreements have ruined a once great friendship".
The "friendship" was built on lies; it was just a means for Hasan to get ahead. He dropped Destiny as soon as he didn't need him anymore. It was that way more than "political disagreements" (Destiny is able to have friendships with people who disagree with him politically) -- it was Hasan being a dishonest clout-chasing dumbfuck who couldn't back up any of his positions and threw Destiny under the bus during the N-word arc.
He grew up wealthy so he had a huge leg up then most
You are a bigger person than me. Most conservatives who I’ve tried to befriend usually hold bigoted beliefs. Whether that’s about gay people, trans people, poor people, black people. It’s always something. Maybe I’m looking in the wrong places, but because of that I’m usually pretty standoffish with conservatives.
Not like I’m trying to create an echo chamber, not intentionally that is, but I cannot converse with conservatives with sound mind.
Yeah he just glosses over the fact his parents had the money to come to America for his birth just to get him a dual citizenship, since they knew there was money to be made there. His parents, family, and friends have lifted him to where he is, and he is so obsessed with having a certain look that doesn't represent him. You can grow up well off without being ashamed, just don't hide it and act like you had to work extra hard. He won't have any true friends in his life until he learns to drop the ego and appreciate others.
