I honestly think ironically enough it's because he's been in the space since he was like 14 or 15, I'm about the same age as him, and I remember in 2018-2019 he got a LOT of heat for flaws/mistakes in his content/coverage, and as he grew older he stopped any mistakes like that and very quickly became one of the most level headed and accurate/well read people in the entire space on anyone he'd cover. He's had experience both as a slightly reckless kid and as a well read adult who vets his topics and info, so he has a lot of knowledge on the space.

I haven't watched the full episode yet but if he did not, I kind of wish Tom elaborated more on the bad faith interpretations stuff about why people say they don't like him. The main 2 reasons I've seen people hate on him were the Pyro stuff, which did take him a really long time to indicate any regret over it and just his general edginess like the "tactical n-words" (which I can understand not being everyone's cup of tea).

At 20:00 when destiny was talking about creators I thought of Leon lush. He is super creative creator but something happened with his ideology and how he acted on twitter. Someone being artistic and inflective at a specific point in their life doesn't mean they're intelligent. The problem w/ the idea that Sneako is remotely intelligent is anyone chasing this most recent wave of red pill bs that is also intelligent would have seen the inevitable pitfalls and where it was leading. Lets be real, there are elephants, dogs, pigs and raccoons which have all shown at least as much artistic skill as Sneako. Animals that are capable of actually painting landscapes, people, themselves, etc. There's more than 1,000 artists looking to fill every position that pops up. Nothing about Sneako is special except he got lucky and hit on something at the right time, but then failed to bail before it destroyed all potential futures he could have as a content creator. The fact that this is a discussion again after he allegedly bailed on the red pilled bs already shows how far gone he truly is.
Destiny is free to like Sneako all he wants. It's over for him. You might be able to redeem a murderer in the eyes of some, but in the eyes of most they're already too far gone. Even a successful redemption arc for Sneako ends with him walking away from content creation. It's been made clear that this space is not healthy for him or any future he hopes to find. He's only become more self-destructive trying to regain that brief moment of fame he had.

Sneako was definitely always stupid. He just had a very open mind and now does not. His commentary was never insightful in anything, he just got other people to comment on things for him.
