- This is a candid review of the Mantis 58 volt Cordless Tiller/Cultivator. I intentionally selected hard packed soil to see if this light weight, battery powered machine could do the job.

looks like it worked really good for what I need it for will save me a lot of time thank you for your time
I love your donkeys ❤️♥️❤️ They are my favorite animal!!
Great video, love the donkeys!
Thanks for this review. Am considering this battery Mantis to remove the packed clay dirt mounds that accumulate in dump truck bed daily on my shift .Shoveling is too hard at my age.I loved the Mantis gas version years ago, but this one can ride with me , because it's fume free.
Love the helpers!! ☺️☺️☺️
Thank you! You make it look so easy! I have to adjust the wheels - I know I will struggle trying to do that. 🥵
The donkeys are precious!
I love everything about this video
good demo. thanks.
Thanks. Best video on UA-cam. Love the Donkeys.
The unit is extremely good for older people
Thanks for posting! How about usage in more clay/rocky soil? Do you think this might be good or too weak?
Thanks for the video. Hey, does anyone know how to unbend a bent tine that happened yesterday when I tilled over some rocks in unbroken soil, or do I need to replace the tines and call the manufacturer? This was for a Greenworks electric, btw.
good stuff
looks perfect for adding rabbit manure to my raised beds
Can you adjust the tilling depth? I need one for cultivating between the rows. THANKS
Any issues with it over the years?
How long does a battery charge last and how much does an extra battery cost?
Is this rechargeable?
The only issue is it doesn’t go the full depth of 10” like the old. The wheels seem to prevent - they say it goes only 8” max. I wish you had one of the new 4 cycle Honda engine ones, more power, same 20” digging, no gas/oil, fast start technology - would like to see how it works in the same area with the old model, the 4 cycle and the electric. That would be a great test and would help me make a decision. After 30 years I need a new one. Ethanol ate up the carburetor and they (Mantis) no longer make a replacement.
They suggest you use a true fuel like Seafoam not anything with ethanol. Even the additives don’t work as well. The problem with ethanol is not gumming… it turns to water and smells like a vase of old rotten leaves and flowers.
Donkey: checked, found nothing edible in the slot, pissed off. LOL
And the donkey how many volts have?
lol
donkeys typically run around 42.8 volts but refer to your manual for individual specifications
Have donkey the volt of 12.
Your donkeys are cool 😆
never nab a mini tiller for more than 45 minutes. that means you are using the correct tool for the job. i have run my 15 horse troybuildt for hrs days on end. obviously a tractor whould have been better, but you work with what you got
Just wait till that battery dies. A new one costs as much as the tiller. I will take my gas engines any day of the week over a battery driven tiller. I have a 13 year old 7225 and it cranks and works fine. It will also till to 10” deep verses 8” for the electric versions.
Careful bud you might hit oil with that thing.
I’ve seen a couple of your videos. I laugh every time thinking what my wife would say and your wife probably says about you putting random holes all over the yard
You must be hand-picked
The donkeys don’t wannna lose their job to a machine
Not bad for a Democrat!
