Thank you for sharing this. I've always had gas, but after trying to get that one started this year without success, I was looking at this. It's good to see it didn't mind rocks as I feel like I have a rock bed and not a flower bed. 😊

I purchased this same model two months ago. BEST tool I have in the Kobalt series. This tools works beautifully in my 1,600 sg ft garden. It cuts through dry soil without any difficulty. As for the length of the handle, it’s really not an issue. I am only 5’6” and I have no difficulty at all in maneuvering the unit in the ground.i totally recommend this unit for anyone interested. ❤

you can use the Kobalt 80 volt batteries with the Masterforce and Greenworks tools but you have to use a rotary tool and remove the lower rails in the battery compartment in all Greenworks /Masterforce tools to use the Kobalt 80 volt batteries the other option is to grind down the lower rail part of the Kobalt batteries so they fit the Masterforce/Greenworks tools. the battery connections are the same, the max runtime i would use a Kobalt 80 volt 6.0AH battery for the handheld blower, snowthrower, and the walk behind mower.

I'm curious on how one of these will do with turning a section of leaves that are being used for compost.

What's the battery life on this guy? I'm going to be tilling a patch roughly 25x25 so I'm guessing I should buy an extra battery.

Maybe its the camera angle but it looks like the tines on the left side are right sided tines. That might make the left side bite harder into the ground.

Hmmm.. Will have to take a closer look next time I get it out of the garden shed. I used it last weekend to till a patch about 15 sq feet and didn't notice anything wonky.

I am with you about Gas engines that aren't used a lot! Trouble! Do they make an electric tiller? My Electric snowblower has a ton of torque but the cord in the cold and snow is no fun. Great review!

I have invested a bit in Kobalt brushless systems. Would this Masterworks accept a Kobalt 80 volt battery without any type of modifications? Thank you in advance.

Any idea how long the battery will last? My senior citizen neibor is interested in getting one of these.
    Thanks in advance

I did about 15 square feet of soil with it last week on one battery and it still had two lights on the built in battery meter. I was tilling over an area of soill where I had removed a tree root. I can't imagine it will hold out very long, probably good for smaller jobs.

This is only a guess on my part but it might mot be practical to make a 120VAC to 80VDC high-current converter due to the high cost.
