  • In this video we are adjusting the chain on a 2014 Suzuki GSX-R 750 and it is the same for all 2011-2017 750's and 600's. It is similar to all gsxr's and most Japanese sport bikes.

    Like how you show the tools all together and explain where you use them plus a description of it.

    Dude, exact same year, model and color as mine. I am here to adjust my chain!!!! I removed the rear fender the day it rolled into my garage. Cheers from Australia where Gixxers run hard and fast :)

    For the people watching and actually doing this to their bike, REMEMBER to tight the rear axle nut when its about 3mm-5mm loose than where it should be.
    The grooves on the axle will pull the wheel back to the right place when you tight that nut.

      I'm confused and what your trying to say.

      On most Suzukis, the rear axle has a tapered form. This means that when the nut is loose, the axle itself is not centered. So when the nut is tightened, the axle will center itself with the rest of the components AND chain will stretch some more, thus rendering the initial measurements invalid.

    So how do you loosen the chain if you went to tight .seems like you could only tighten and not loosen. Would u have to take the whole rear wheel off and readjust by moving the wheel forward?

      Loosen the adjusts back and yap the wheel forward. I always prefer to end on the tightening cycle though. So that means loosen more than you need to

    Does it matter if is a centemiter off like the right side look like it was right on 1 n half but the left was one centimeter off I'm just asking because I think mine's like that

    • @motomigos
      @motomigos  Рік тому

      So the rear axle should be as close to perfect as you can get it. 1 centimeter is a big deal. 1 millimeter isn't as critical but still off enough to fix

      You can feel if one of the wheel off form center. Just go on one lonely two way wide rode and turn from one side to another while you traveling. Do not go crazy 40-50km/h is enough. Push your bike down much as possible. The bike will telling you.

    Pretty sure rear axel nut is 36mm not 32 + music was way too loud

      Axle nut on 2014 is 32. I believe it started in 2011 and ran through 2017. I have an 05 gsxr with a 36mm axle nut on the rear but not all 750s are the same.

    You made a big mistake you never rotated the wheel and check the chain for the tight spot in it which most of them always have.
    So I give you a thumbs DOWN!!

      Sorry we didnt impress you. If your buying chains with a tight spot that's big enough to notice while rotating I would suggest not to run that chain. Also if your chain is stretched so unproportional then I would suggest buying a new chain.
