This is hilarious, but I think it’s important that people know Alfred Molina is a genuinely kind awesome guy. When I was 13 my family went to New York and we saw him in Fiddler on the Roof on Broadway. Molinas performance was incredible, but it’s what he did after the show that stuck with me. My twin brother is on the autism spectrum, and sometimes has a hard time identifying with people. But he learned every word to every song in that play before we saw it, and he sang along during the entire performance. At the end of the show, when the cast took their bows, when they all walked off stage, Alfred Molina made eye contact with my brother and I and waved to us. Even our dad said there was no doubt who that wave was meant for. We left the theater and happened to find out when the cast exited the building and would sometimes give autographs. We went to the door, and after about 15 minutes of waiting, Alfred came out, saw my brother and walked right over to us. He told my brother that he’d been watching him all night and that my bro had known all the lyrics to every song in the play, and how that had made his night. He signed our playbills and told my brother to keep watching and listening to musicals, which he still does at the age of 29. I will always love Alfred Molina for this.
