Absolutely nothing about this makes sense. Gasoline engines are typically picked by fleet managers and consumers based on the fact that they're ten thousand dollars or more or less than a diesel. I can't imagine they're gonna sell a single one of these. If they're a hundred horsepower down and it's an eight thousand dollar option.
The Duke says, I'm a Ford guy but all this sounds pretty good on paper. Problem is it's going to make for an even more expensive truck that nobody's buying already. Ford included. They cost as much as a Dodge. Plus I don't know anybody that would want a 200 horsepower engine. The high torque will get you off the line but you may struggle at highway speeds with a load. They should have concentrated on improving the hemi. It looks like the 7.3 Godzilla from Ford (which I have one in my f-550) is what motivated Ram to do this. V-8 is golden in the United States. What did I teach you?
Can anyone, including who posted this, actually confirm any of this. I have not heard anything about cumins actually releasing this engine, let alone for use in Ram trucks, all i can seem to find is that its under development. Also i cannot find any confirmation that the 6.7 diesel in the ram trucks is being bumped to a higher displacement...again just rumors.
If it costs more than the diesel, burns twice the fuel when pulling and only has 200 Ho, I don’t want it! I’ll take the 6.4 Hemi any day. I’ve got as good as 19mpg in my 6.4 Power wagon and as bad as 11mpg. Lots of power!
I was hoping for a 7.2L Hemi. All it takes is a 4.00 stroke crank on the 6.4 The heads already flow well. The 6.4 needs more torque to compete.

We'll see. Gas engine working as diesel is bold statement, but hard to do. But if they do...
I wonder is EPA made them use even thinner push rods and rockers than the 19+ 6.7’s, or are they going to run 0-W16 oil? 😬

I can read that truckers would rather take the Hurricane, than this new Cummins...

Ram TRX wasn't official, but there were plenty of rumors and hints suggesting it will happen.
How can they only have 300 HP and be compatible with Ford and GM when they're heavy-duty engines are pushing over 400 HP?
They get de tuned for reliability. What these customers will want though is torque.
Exactly.
What is the price
And who can afford it
Should be priced as current Cummins ☹️ but they're about to launch a 7.2!
Nothing can replace the HEMI
Definitely an upgrade for HD
300 hp? I’ll keep my old 6.4
But "diesel-like" torque and fuel economy... Although I don't believe they can make gas engine work like diesel...
Lol a gas one 😅😅😅😅😅
Sounds weird, but both Ram trucks and Cummins will benefit
Ooooooooooh bad move cummins😐
Why? They're not giving up any other engine, and it will be better than HEMI
