- Hypixel skyblock has not been reset for over 1 and a half years now, and everyone is used to it. But what would happen if all progress was suddenly deleted anyways? Hopefully this video ages well.

Smartest thing would be opening like a total new 'server' as how it is on other MMO games. So people can choose to either play in a place where everyone got reset and started from 0 or can keep playing on regular server.
Perhaps they could pull a poe and have 2 servers, one that wipes every couple months and the current main server.
Or start a trailblazer league sort of thing, like osrs
Many MMORPGs are doing exactly that just to make more money, but skyblock would be a different case. Also if they did this, they could balance a ton of things for the new server, because big nerfs to hyperion for example in the current server would cause an outrage.

Honestly, I think fresh servers of the game would be SUPER interesting to play, especially if non-bugfix updates were like staggered every 2 weeks or something, which would also help the devs get ahead on updates.

If they made fresh separate servers i think that would decrease the overall player base of hypixel because of how much lag sb brings

Everyone gets instantly rick rolled by hypixel himself which makes everyone decide that life isn’t worth living and hypixel looses many a lot of play count
Instead of resetting skyblock, hypixel should give everyone a new profile kind of like ironman but give it a new name. The people on that profile can only buy items from the ah, bazaar and trade with the people that are also on the same kind of profile.
Resets were always the reason i left a server. I hope they never reset hypixel skyblock.
I have played multiple survival servers before hypixel skyblock was released and i quit all of them because of resets.

Speaking as someone with a Hyperion and a bit over 2 bil networth, I very rarely log in nowadays, and would love it if skyblock reset and I'd get back into it. With the current economy and state the game is at, it's just stale and keeps getting staler, I'd like if they took a 6 month break and came up with a hypixel skyblock 2.0 with a lot of remodelled and new content making it super fresh. Well thars just my idealistic 2 cents on what id like to happen. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

they're kinda doing this with hytale which is a minecraft inspired game by the hypixel team but much more different and fresh

I think if a second server was created, it might be good for new players and for old players because you'll be able to restart everything and keep your items on another one
I think one way of implementing this without making the playerbase mad is by creating another Skyblock server with a fresh new save.

In my school days I used to play a Browser Game where they introduced new servers regularly (a new one every few months), where every player would have to start over, so that both new and experienced players would have the chance to be on top (but it also was much more pvp heavy so it makes more sense there), keeping the old servers intact (and at some mile stone servers, there would be special features like double time and other interesting features).
Of course, starting over every few months would be a pain but opening a "new" (lets call it) parallel universe where everyone would have to start over might be an interesting idea.

Something to note with booster cookies is that there is a MINIMUM bazaar price for them - you can’t make a buy order for less than 500k

I'd slap down some clay minions, farm stuff, then start a charity that gives people the stuff they lost back (proof needed obviously). With the economy being flared deflated, it should be easy. Eventually, my charity will inspire others to do the same, and less people would quit.
i feel like there should be like a second profile for the whole skyblock like different ah different bazaar and stuff so people can start over and speedrun and tryhard the game with a decent amount of people also starting over

I think it would be cool if you could bring over a few items from your old profile(s) that had great value to you. They couldn’t be used, but could show your previous dedication to the game. (Items such as spooky pies or cake souls that have significant value to you alone, or just good items like Hyperions).
I also think it would be funny to see the upheaval in bz / ah if the admins told the player’s that it would be resetting lol.

I think im going insane. I could swear there once was an npc next to the colosseum, that said skyblock might get reset in the future. It was very early on so im not too sure anymore.

Everyone is calling me "trash" for just having strong dragon armor even though that's good and it'd be fun to restart and have them on my level so I don't have to worry about catching up with the game. I would understand why people would quit though, probably because they have a Hyperion and don't wanna grind for it again, and I get that, but that's all skyblock is really. Grinding.

I’d really like to see them do what other skyblock servers do and have other servers so they have the og server and a new server where new/returning players, people who want new profiles and people who want to just mess around can play and isn’t connected to the og skyblock at all.

If skyblock reset, we could probably sustain having player mayors (users depending on their fame rank in the community shop, could apply to be elected mayor, like techno)
honestly i’ve given up on skyblock at this point. the admins completely ruined it. took it in the wrong direction, it’s really sad to see but all i can do is hope that one day something revolutionary happens to revive the game

it would be a intresting idea for a alt gamemode to normal skyblock
Idea: Secondary version of skyblock that resets every year (irl year not sb year), where admins can test out updates on players before rolling them out into the main game, allowing for quicker updates due to playtesting and actual balance being less of a problem due to players being able to give immediate feedback.
@frog I know, but from my knowledge that was mostly for dungeons, as well as having bazaar disabled, and infinite resources.

They should make a evil npc like dante that threatens to reset skyblock, when he succeeds all the players need to get the 7 miguffins in order to bring back the old skyblock. But players should have the option to go into the new world or not but they would then miss out on some rewards exclusive to the event.

I feel like skyblock should have an option to join like a skyblock 2.0 where everything is reset and new players could have a fresh start but they also keep skyblock how it is so that people who have played since the beginning can continue without getting upset.

I quit sb a week ago and started playing wynncraft it is really refreshing for me I will maybe come back to sb in half a year or so if something new comes out. Wynncraft just has a really nice feeling to it for me in my opinion and the community is quite nice
