    Hey Chris. Pat your self on the back. For having a good knowledgeable channel and keeping it family friendly. Its pretty cool to see the kids look up to you. Reading one of there comments on doing a school project about you. Cause thats what he wants to do when he grows up. Dont get much better then that. Your the man !

    The sign of a Great Operator, when the Men on the ground pay absolutely no attention to a Giant Bucket 2 feet from them, because they have such confidence in their Operator !!! Hats off to ya Chris !! They got a Hella Man behind the controls.... Have a Great Day Bro.......

      I was thinking the same thing. Not only do they have complete trust in Chris, but it also shows that they all know what to do and when - like a well oiled machine - to keep the job moving instead of having one guy stand there and give instructions while everyone else stops and waits for that one (or other) guy to finish his job before the next one can do his.

      Doesn't matter how much i trust someone in a machine if I am standing close I have a hard hat on accidents happen. I have seen very good operator accidentally knock someone and split their head right open because of no hard hat.

      @@snowblowerman5115 . I agree with you 100% hard hats, hearing & eye protection .... I've been running open R.O.P.S. dozers for many years and I always wear my logging helmet with the hearing protection and face shield screen down.... last year.... I had a good size stone fly up off the track while reversing in high gear & would have lost my right eye had it not been for the face protection

    A farmer in central california back in the 80's built or had built a "dam" across a spring fed tiny creek in between some rolling hills on his property. After it was all done he seeded it with pasture mix seed as his cattle would graze it. His high school senior daughter and her friends decided they would buy a whole bunch of california wildflower mix and spread it out. The "pond" filled to the overflow very seldom so the whole dam became quite a show every year. I have thought of that everytime I watch your pond dam vids. As usual this one is a work of art... just no flowers. Thanks Chris.

    Great video. I especially like the detective aspect where you are hunting for the leak. Question; when pricing a job such as this, where there is a hidden problem which defeats the dam, how do you make it right? In the eyes of the landowner, you have not done a good job and he paid a hefty price already. In your eyes, you can never predict such unseen problems, so how do you price for them? What do you do?

    • @brucet8033
      @brucet8033 5 років тому +4

      Time & Materials, no profit charges. Can't predict costs of what you can't see, because the leak was way below the dam build up. This team is very professional, I'm betting Chris or whomever talks to the customer, they try to explain all possible aspects or complications.

    I'm old and out of the running now but back in the day I run everything they set in front of me like that Proclaim esquavators that leaked more oil than standard oil could produce. I was working on the ice up north here and decking logs so they would just go through ice and set ready to go in rafts. Well spring was peeking its head out so I took to leaving that Proclaim on the ice at night and sure enough on low tide you could see the top of the stick just above water... hooked skidder onto it and rolled it over so boats wouldn't hit it and sold it to insurance company. Never enjoyed making oil lines all day and packing five gallon buckets of oil back to fill again just to watch it blow another line off!! I imagine that those volvos are smooth to run, never thought they could put so many valve bodies on so you could walk, swing, load and esquavate so much. Must not be much gravel where ever your at
