Been using a Friedman dirty Shirley for several years. Just picked up the OCD 1.7 and now the freedmen is getting sold!

This is a great comparison. Disclaimer: I have the OCD and love it! It's a beast. These pedals do sound like they're in the same tone range; considering the OCD is less money, it's a good deal for those of us who want a big tone but are also sensitive about cost.
That Friedman gained a lot of balls in the low end and seemed to sweeten up in the highs with very little adjustment. All of them sounded excellent, but I was really impressed by the flexibility of the Dirty Shirley.

OCD all the way ...... for me . Got my OCD a few years ago . Lots of other pedals have come and gone . My OCD will never leave .
I feel Suhr really got it right with the original Riot.....10+ years later and it's still a top dog pedal. The OCD clearly does something right..... Not really a fan of the Riot reloaded....I can see it sounding a lot better through a 4x12 and big clean power.......Dirty Shirley keeps perking my curiousity.......The MI Audio Super Crunch Box V2 looks/sounds like a seriously good pedal for the MIAB Cool sounds man.....thanks for posting

Excellent comparison good job. I liked all of them but the riot reloaded is the one I liked best.
Through my monitors, the Suhr Riot Reloaded and Friedman sounds way fuller. The OCD is an all rounder and the original riot is my least favorite.
Wow, I like the OCD clearly the most. Thought the Friedman would be my choice.
The ocd sounds really good into the front of a high gain amp. I preferred over the Friedman. (Peavey 6505mh with Fishman modern in a Schecter)
Say it ain't so tho... Love all of them, but I think I really liked the Riot best, wich one would you pick for some thrash metallica/ punk rock sound?? Thanks for the comparation!!

i like the Riot Reloaded and the Friedman better than than the other 2. They sounded fuller and less thing and mid rangy..

whats the brand of that patch cable you are using?
The patch cable between the OCD and Suhr Riot is by EBS. Think its called EBS Flat patch cable.
I seen they are coming out with a riot mini and it made me think of your channel. Didn't know if you heard about it. They just announced it. It's really small.
