- I am going to Iran on my electric Motorcycle EVE. How cool is that? It’s a huge thing for me and I am nervous and excited about it. Getting the visa was already challenging and cost quite a bit but the bigger challenge will be, how can I charge the bike there with no infrastructure and can I even make through? We’ll find out together I guess. Eve is probably gonna be the first big E motorcycle in the country!
But I have to get there and I probably didn’t make the smartest decision to skip the first charging station 🫣 That’s what this massive journey is all about, pushing the envelope and see what can be done! I am so up for the challenge, now more than ever.

Oh man, you are so lucky going to Iran. I went there by bicycle on a trip from the UK to Pakistan in 1991. It's an amazing country and the people are so welcoming. Get to Isfahan if you can. Good luck, and thanks for the really inspiring, heartfelt videos.

@@MarcTravels I'm Persian and I live in Iran. Yes Iranian people are so welcoming and it's impossible you come to Iran and don't feel it but please don't come to Iran it's too risky. It's for your own safety. Islamic republic is not welcoming. They don't care if you committed a crime or not. they arrest you to blackmail your governments specifically if you have American passport. Always remember Islamic republic is not a government it's a cartel.

I'm in Iran right now and loving it. Amazing country and the friendliest people over seen anywhere. Also unlike Egypt there are firm rules, and once you comply with them there will be no issues. In Egypt you can have all your papers in order, and still be in trouble every step of the way

My experience is 25 years out of date but Iran is amazing, people were really friendly, people with guns... needed respect and be carful recording near anything military! I think Bam was heavily damaged in an earthquake, it was a nice place to explore. Isfahan was beautiful but sadly I was sick there so didn't see much 😢

Having watched a few adventurous types travel through Iran I'm sure you'll be fine, but it'll be interesting to see how their charging infrastructure is at the moment - same for most of the countries eastwards of Türkiye. Another superb video Marc, this wonderful attitude and 'let's go' approach is the reason I subscribed to your channel. I sub'ed way, way back before Marie, and at that time you were all about positivity and enthusiasm, 100%, you were a joy to watch. Marie joined you, and though on occasion she brought fun and added interest (and honestly, no offence is meant here), unfortunately she also brought along with her a huge amount of negativity, moaning and neediness, which sadly reflected in many of your videos. Now though post Marie, it is once again absolutely fantastic to see your positivity and enthusiasm has returned 100%. I mean no offence to you or Marie, but this is so refreshing. Kudos to you Marc for pulling through what was obviously a tough time.

And I’d ask you to be careful, safety wise, since there’s an advisory on my government’s website, saying to avoid travels to Iran (😮) I’m certain most places are fine and you’ll meet great people. Some motorvloggers have been to Iran, and it was nice to see all those great and welcoming people. Have fun! Can’t wait to see your next video. By the way, just send a letter to the company who made the motorcycle, asking why they don’t support you since you are giving them great visibility. I think if most of your subscribers were to do the same, maybe it would make a difference and if not, it doesn’t cost us anything to at least try!

these lists of countries are politically determined, considered an enemy country, but when you are there you don't feel it at all, because the people there are great and have nothing to do with government policy
