ccol video! I just started digital painting for first time 6 weeks ago. BUT don't have tablet so use my mouse in Roblox art games. ONE DAY I HOPE to get a nice tablet like this and learn some serious painting skills like blending lighting etc....subbed to ya and gonna watch your art videos! Thanks for sharing!
digital art is a little hard a first but once you get used to it, it' s actually pretty fun. Also if you are looking to animate then that helps a lot. So I recommend sticking with it and seeing how it goes
I remember I was first learning of Digital Art in class through Photoshop, honestly it was the most complicated shit I’ve ever had to deal with... even with the assistance of my instructor or my fellow students I was still struggling to comprehend. But as time goes on I eventually understand things more and more, and now Digital Art is just my main thing to go when I feel like drawing. I stopped using Photoshop (mostly due to how expensive the program is) and sticked to Clip Studio Paint.
Random thing! On procreate (saying this before I watch the vid) there’s a wet mix setting for all the brushes so you can mix the colors on the drawing while painting, without having to switch tools, it’s awesome
That timelapse of you sketching a human really help, ofc I didn’t copy (I was thinking of my own little character that doesn’t have a name yet) but It really helped me sketch humans, I’m saying this because I usually sketch dragons, so thanks and awesome vids!
Tip: when using the colordrop feature, it’s helpful to use a different layer so you can adjust colors, alpha lock, or clipping mask. However you may notice thatwhen you do this, your colordrop will not function correctly with the lines. You can fix this by going to the lineart layer, double tapping it with one finger (or the Apple Pencil, however I find that the Pencil slips making it harder to do this) and select “Reference”. This will make it so any command that is supposed to follow lines or small areas will stay within the confines of the specific space without having to be on that layer. This is a neat little trick I taught myself when drawing my own characters (not my characters exactly, but my drawings on them) Also, if you want your drawing to look more like paper, you can get a google image of paper/crinkled paper and import it as the top layer to you image and change the blending mode (you can do this by Layers > Paper Layer > “N” tab) to “Overlay”.
@@KwikDraw35 no problem. I’ve been using procreate for about a year and just found it out and I always wish I knew it sooner, so I enjoy being able to help other people learn it when it’s convenient!
My family's not the richest, so, I always have to draw with my finger on Ibis, but after 4 years doing all that, it seems like drawing with my finger is better than with my whole hand and using a pencil, I can't wait when we have enough money to get a stylus pen for me to use on my tablet that I got for my birthday, well, a few days after my birthday, but still!
B4 I got my iPad and pencil, I literally watched tons of videos about the iPad and procreate so that when I got the iPad, I wouldn't go in unsure or completely alien to it. All that was left for me to do was get used to applying what I had learnt b4 I got it. Always do research to prep yourself. Gets you steps ahead. Keep practicing and you'll get the hang of it. Exploration and experimenting and watching other artists use the program all helps the experience to be more fun while learning.
For those of you who want the paper like screen protector, but don’t want the same texture when your using it for other things, there is a magnetic one…somewhere…it exists!
wow, you did amazing for your first time doing Digital Art!! I've been doing it for a while and I have to say you're pretty good with it on your first try I hope the best for your journey!
Sup man I remember watching your UA-cam shorts of you drawing some of your art back of them when you were a bit younger it’s nice to see how far you’ve come
Hey Kwik! Love the drawing, especially since it’s your first time! But a tip is if you flip your canvas, it’s easier for you to spot out mistakes on your drawing. Love your art tho!
I liked paperlike for drawing but I also didn’t really like how it looked and felt when I’m not drawing. Also sometimes getting used to the app takes a bit of time but when you finally know how to use ‘overlay’ and other tools hidden in the app it will really help speed up your drawing process.
try the magnetic paper feel screen protector, it’s got magnets in the side that stick on your ipad for when you’re drawing then you can take it off when you’re browsing your ipad
I was looking for marker brushes that actually feels like markers. After trying many I now have the wet and dry marker set from freya art and they are so much better then the standard procreate marker brush.
Heyyy, i suggest you put on a matte screen protector if you want a matte screen and pencil like asmr sounds. But glossy screen protector is good to, it doesnt scatter the light, it scatters light in matter screen protector.
You need screen protectors. The last thing you wanna do on any digi art display is make permanent scratch mark on the display itself As someone who first started digital art on my 3DS, getting a real pen display and a professional painting program was so extremely overwhelming. In comparison, ProCreate looks way easier to get in to
Try for the first time to draw on wacom tablet without display, so you need to draw on tablet and to look at your monitor in same time if you wanna feel some real struggle for the first time :D
Dope work! I think your are insane for not liking the paper like screen protector though 😂 in all seriousness i relate to being new to digital art myself but i found it opens many new doors for me and my work
I got my iPad for a birthday last year but It’s still intimidating to draw in procreate 😩 sometimes i get motivations to just practice, no matter how it turns out, but other times I can’t even open it because I know it won’t turn out good
What all types of drawing tablets have you used? I’m trying to find the right drawing tablet that’s around $150 maybe a little. I can’t afford an iPad Thanks for your time.
the only gripe I see in paperlike I that if you watch movies the colors are distorted, also if you are not using the apple pencil it is weird. I see a detachable or magnetic paperlike screen protector.
How does a good artist use digital art/ibisPaint/iartpad/procreate/sketchbook/medipang paint for iPad/pigment/concepts/lines sketch. For the first time

Digital art is fun when you don't pressure yourself! I also recommend clip studio, it's ideal for me😌
Clipstudio is not beginner friendly.
Heck yeaaah look at you go. Heres to trying new techniques! Love seeing your style digitally. Digging your more regular uploads.

Just a heads up to anyone, paper like screen protectors wear down you pencil. So matter what people say, it does. Because that what paper does.

If you go to the layers and click the if you see the gray part you have to the lighter gray and click clear and it clears the screen

I use digital art and paper art a lot
Where do you get that ipad pro and how much does it cost? just curious, had a dream last night about using a ipad pro

You can make good digital art with just your fingers and one brush!
or you can make a good art with just a regular pencil
I got procreate a few months ago and learned how to use it in a bit more then a week
I like digital but I'll take traditional any day!
Did you try surface studio?
Will you please exchange my samsung Tab with this ipad😅 ,
