I live in Thailand. I sharpen, restore, and make knives. This is interesting. Tomorrow, I will finish making wooden handles on two cleaver type knives. One will be mai makah (a tropical hardwood0 and the other will be white oak.
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! But buying a new knife is like getting a new phone; it might be shiny, but the old one still has some good memories attached!
I can see that you had to enlarge some of the holes to get them to line up properly. I think it would be much neater if you drilled one set of holes on one PVC. You then place the second PVC😊 under the first one then use a pencil through the holes to mark the right spots. This way you get to line up the holes exactly.
Thanks for your question! I'm glad you're interested in the gloss finish. I don't actually use any paint at all. I'll share some tips in my next video! Thank you
I appreciate your perspective! It's true that some of the tools in the video may be difficult for the average user to use, but with the right tools, many people will do just fine.
Video far too long just to clock up watch hours good enough idea but what if you don't have all the power tools do you go out snd spend lots of dollars to buy them cheaper just buy a new knife. You could have made the same video using simple hand tools i might have watched it to the end then. In fact I might make that video myself in the future.
I appreciate your feedback! You're right that not everyone has access to power tools, and using simpler methods can make it more accessible for many viewers.

The craftsmanship here is impressive! The knife handle looks strong and professional
Right? If the handle were any stronger, it would start charging rent!
Sí señor buen trabajo

Muito obrigado! Seu carinho é muito apreciado!
Fantastic !!! But tell me what you used on the handle, when it was finished, to prvide the gloss?
I'm glad you like it! To make PVC shiny, you can use a specialized polish or some wax. I will reveal it in a next video

Very useful, Thank you for sharing this idea

Demasiado trabajo
¡Entiendo!
I buy old butcher knives at garage sales and estate sales and replace the handles. This is a great idea to try on them.🇺🇸🤠👍🏼
Great to see you doing similar projects. Old knives can really come back to life with a little creativity!
What did you use for the rivet material ?
I used aluminum rivets from a coat hanger. They are light and strong, pretty good for what I needed.
Amazing handle using scrap pvc pipe.. but pls skip on repetition.. boring aand it takes too much time in your video.
I appreciate your feedback! I’ll work on making my videos more concise in the future. Thanks for watching!
Gracias

Nice job😊
Thank you so much! Your encouragement means a lot to me!
I am Prakasam from Benton, Arkansas USA
Nice to meet you, Prakasam! Benton, Arkansas sounds like a great place.
You can also use that pvc for a holster .

Nice handle also well done on turning a 5 min vid into a 20 min one
I really appreciate your kind words! And the fact is that 20 minutes is never enough to do such a good job.
I am from India.

Have you ever heard of a thing called editing? Took an eternity. Good hack , though. Won't it be better to just buy a new knife?
Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! But buying a new knife is like getting a new phone; it might be shiny, but the old one still has some good memories attached!
It's amazing how something as simple as a PVC pipe can be transformed into a professional-looking knife handle. Great tutorial
I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial! It’s incredible what you can create with just a little creativity and the right materials.

Why did you cut the pipes with a handsaw if you have an electrical one?
Serious question! Sometimes a handsaw can give you more control, especially since I want to emphasize that you can cut plastic pipe with any tool.

Please read about knife steels on the internet. Most people have zero knowledge about this subject.
You're absolutely right! Knife steels can be a fascinating topic, and there's so much to learn about their properties and uses.

Cut pvc with multi tool
Absolutely! Using a multi-tool for cutting PVC can make the job much easier and more efficient. Have you tried any specific techniques?
0:46😂😂😂
There are nos.of strokes per minute for cutting different materials
