this model was my first car. With zero car knowledge, I bought it with rust. It literally fell apart and cost me a lot of to fix before I gave up : ( After that, I started reading, watching and learning and avoided many lemons...
I can absolutely relate to that. My first car was a Mazda 6 and this car was horrible. Dumped a lot of money into that car just to throw it away after 2 years, because the rust came through again... Well, the best thing I guess is to learn how to weld cars...
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE THE TERMINAL AND ECU IF POSSIBLE. I forgot to do both when welding on my ford escape. 2 weeks and $2600 later i have it back after having to replace the instrument cluster, ecu and battery. It also fried my abs module,4x4 module, rcm module and one other im forgetting the name of. But you've been warned.
I am very sorry to hear that. But thanks for the warning. I think it is better to spend a few minutes removing at least the battery terminal, before having to spend a lot of money on something that could have been avoided. Thanks again :)
Mazda and rust name a more iconic duo
Yeah, you are right. This is the 3rd Mazda I own & all of them rusted away like crazy...
VW PASSAT AND RUST !!!!!!!!
