Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately they're only doing the annual inspections on one steam loco per year right now and 4501 was brought back early for the 60th anniversary celebration last fall, so her time ran out this week. With their current operating pattern she should be running again in 2024.
I was really wanting to see her that weekend, but it was fall break for me and my family had plans. I guess i’ll have to wait for next year to see her run again. Im also hoping to see 630, but I don’t know if she’ll be running next year.

I might run next year, or it might not run again until 2024, but either way 4501 has until 2029 before it's next major inspection.

If they continue their current pattern 630 will be the sole steam loco operating next year and then 4501 again in 2024.
I was told that 4501 is actually expected to run next year. 630’s return to operation will depend on what TVRM finds on its annual inspection.

What happened to 4501?
It needs an FRA inspection before it can run again so they've put it into storage for the winter.
