  • Learn how to make fabric covered welt cord for use as decorative trim on window treatments, pillows, duvets, and dust ruffles. Fabric covered welt cord, or turn cord as I like to call it, can be used to make buttonhole loops, tiebacks, Chinese knots, fabric bowls, and other craft projects.
In this video, I will take you step-by-step through this easy method for sewing and turning the cord to hide the seam allowance.

Thank you - clear concise tutorial. Upcycled a silk tie to a small purse. Used your method and the leftover silk plus cord to make a purse strap. Turned out lovely 😊

I've been looking all morning for a clear video of how to do this. Thank you. I want to say this in a way that doesn't make it sound like I am calling you old because clearly you are not but you remind me of my grandmother and your video was excellent.

Sandra, I didn’t catch whether you use fabric cut on the bias or not. Thanks so much, Kathy

You have an excellent video showing how to sew this. I will definitely do a search for other videos from you. How did you finish the ends? I am making cording for a sweatshirt.

Great video, thanks. Is there a limit to how long you can make covered welt cord? I need almost two yards of continuous cord. Can I make it that long?
