I’ve just started making theses and I’ve found that a dab of glue stick at the top of the fabric piece really helps to hold it in place.
This is such a cute project, Misty! And because I've never worked with rope before, I watched very carefully. I must say that you are an excellent teacher! You don't rush, you carefully explain all the details, have great camera angles, and - you don't bore us with 20 minutes of sewing after we've learned the basics. Thank you for your time and ideas and creativity. I love the idea of making fun chargers!
I made my first bowl and it was surprisingly very easy. So satisfying.
It’s not boring watching someone sew, especially if there is no music 🙂
Just watched you measure from your nose. So funny as I told my husband last week that that was the way my Mum used to measure fabric. What a coincidence.
I do the same 😊. Close enough!
Thank you for increasing the volume 😊
You should try the triple zigzag stitch it is wonderful for sewing rope.
Fun! Fun! I am enjoying watching you make these cute projects! I think these would make wonderful placemats! Thanks, Misty!
Superb idea!
Thanks for giving a another project, we can use as a gift!
Love this! This would also be a good time to get your extension table on if you have one.
Thank you MSQC & Misti! Love you folks❤
Thanks a lot! 🌺🌸
What size needle was in the machine? Thank you for the demonstration.
Thank you Misty, I loved this!!
Mountain thread company has the best rope for bowls!
Great project. Love the pops of color and such a good idea for gifts
So pretty. 💜 thanks Misty
This looks like a great little project! My family might get these for Easter or Mother's Day!
Cute. Thanks Misty
I love make the rope bowls. Thank you for your tips.
Very cute & easy. Love the trivets - also great for chargers and placemats. Thanks for the tutorial!
I love it! What a great idea.
Great job love the project.
Thanks for showing these trivets! I’ve made the bowls and now I can also get hooked on these! I love the idea of adding the pop of color with scraps throughout.
These are great!
Thank you Misty
I've made in the past, but I'm gonna make more love the fabric ideal. Ty ❤️
So Fun! I can’t wait to make this project. I’m already thinking that this will make great Christmas gifts.
Misty, I really enjoy your videos and projects. I look forward to each and every one. This one is such a great idea for quick and functional gifts to give, while using up little bits of scrap fabric. Love your idea of making larger ones for use as chargers. Thank you so much for a video that is without distracting music or sounds that interfere with instructions. I will be making up these trivets to give away.
AWESOME!!! So cute. Thanks for this really fun tutorial. ❤️
I haven’t made the bowl yet, but I just ordered the cotton rope. I think this will be easier as a first project. You make it look very easy, and your instructions and closeups will help even a beginner do this well. I’m making some as gifts which I know will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for another great video from Misty at Home. 😊❤
I’m n the same place. Will try this as a first project. Excited to try!
Love this project! Christmas presents here they come!
These are really fun to make! I need to use all-cotton rope next time though
This is quite interesting. Thank you!
A lovely tutorial.
I love this!❤
I have that book, and the projects are easy and fun!! Thanks for the video.
I love this!
I am going to have to try this, looks like a fun project.
Love these
This looks like fun, will have to get the supplies and make some. Thank you. Great tutorial.
This is very cool thanks for the video
Super fun project Sis! Love it 😘💕 Thanks so much for your excellent tutorial 🙏💕
Great project thank you
I'd suggest keeping the coil on a flat surface as it gets larger. An assortment of books to build up a 'table' works well. Otherwise you c an get a bend or warp in the trivet. As that's how a bowl is made...you lift and hold the edge up.
Thanks for showing us how to make these pretty rope chargers ECT...I like how fabric makes them pop.
Looks like fun
Cute!!!
Awesome! Now I xant wait to make one. Would be some great Christmas gifts also.
That’s really cool
Great tutorial
I have been making these for a while, & use some of the leftover fabric from a quilt, & make to use as wall art or table topper. Very fun
Do you use a spot of glue to help hold the strips of material?
I was just thinking as I watched that these would be very cute on the wall👍😍
@@patriciasweet9102 I think that is a good idea. I'm finding the strip is slipping.
I'm dying laughing, I just used that charm pack last night ! Thank you for the tutorial 🎉
Gave me a chuckle since my mom used measure about a yard the same way.
You have hooked me on rope 😂
Love your videos! Here’s a tip from an old pro….use small snips for cutting threads!
Misty this looks like great fun! Could you use glue to hold the fabric in place until you get the hang of wrapping the fabric around the rope?
Great gift project. Could you share what model machine you use in your at-home videos? You provide great inspiration.
Misty, what size needle did you use? I'm guessing it's a larger size one.
The book recommends a denim needle
@@rondadalton6151thanks!🌺🌸
Love seeing these rope ideas.
Also, where can I find the pattern for the quilt that is on your lap in your intro?
👍❤️😊
Do you use jeans needle on machine for this?
What presser foot are you using? What size needle?
Can you tell me what baby lock machine you are using?
I have cotton clothes line. It’s 100% cotton. Wonder if that would work
Where did you find the 300 foot roll of the rope?
What size needle?
were do you get the cotton solid braid rope
Do you need to use a jeans needle?
I made the bowls years ago and the pattern called for the jeans needle
@@SueB440, I thought I heard that somewhere. Maybe it was doing the rugs.
Hi.
Older machines the workhorse ones, don’t go to 7 for zigzagging.
👍🧵✂️🪡😍❤️😘👏👏👏
How do you start at the beginning you didn't show it and what are you sewing on
