Installing oversized speakers in Jeep TJ Pods

- I replaced the 5.25" speakers with 6.5" speakers in my son's 2004 Jeep Wrangler TJ. I put in these: JBL GTO629 Premium 6.5-Inch Co-Axial Speaker, but there are several options (amzn.to/3fHupkE to get started).

Followed this video and added a little poly-fill to the pods, installed a set of 6.5" JBL club 622. Worked like a charm and sounds great! Thanks so much for the video!
I can't find the video, but there's a guy who installed 6x9s in the TJ pods.
Perfect timing as I’m looking to upgrade my factory TJ speakers. I will go ahead and order 6.5” for the pods and 5.25” for the dash. Thanks

Who did your graphics for the Overclock3d build? I wanted to do a two tone graphic as well. I’m wondering if most sign companies are able to that. Sill enjoying your videos, and hoping there is another build coming some time in the future. OIIIIIIIO
much appreciated video, saved me a ton of time & money. Still not sure why there are no aftermarket pods with 6.5 holes or even some sort of adapter for the original pods. Surely there must be some market. Either way, thanks

what size screws did you use? the ones that came with new speakers weren't long enough

Wonder if you used sound dampening material inside the enclosure would make a huge difference, and maybe some polyfill too?
I did that and it made a big difference
i put oversize speakers in my pods but should use poly fill to put inside the pods better sound wont give that plastic sounding vibration
