Listened to all 3 of these books to get me to sleep during the long nights of a new baby. Brought me back to when I was a kid a listened to these books on Kesey every night to sleep. Thank you for uploading!
@@RaikenXion Have you read any of the Legends books? I'm going through those and am loving it. Getting close to re-reading Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire trilogy. That was perfection.
I can't believe that such interesting captivating and beautiful stories exists on audio and if made in a movie would have been a blast.. Instead we ended up with "the force awakens, the last jedi and the rise of Skywalker" which in my opinion are far far Inferior to these magnificent audio books. Disney please take note... This is how you tell great star wars stories.
Thank you so much for uploading these. Been a DF fan for almost 30 years and completed 1 and 2 again just this weekend. I've never listened to these before but they've made those stories all the more special.
Nice. I've just finished DFII for the third time. Do you know it has been fixed recently and you can now play it without that 3D-something? You can now play it like when it was just released! I now play Mysteries of the Sith, of course without that 3D-crap.
a thousand years after darth bane stories.in path of destruction the jedi and sith are trapped by the thought bomb, but later kyle katarn set them free.
I remember these three books were the first audio book set i bought on CDs back in the late 90s. So happy so.eone uploaded this since I haven't seen them available since.
Well, if it comes to me everyone, but Boc, was fine. His voice is so off here and he sounds same like Maw with a little difference. He should be like he was in the game.
Good story. Its a shame it's never been animated or made into a movie/series. I'm currently playing thru Dark Forces 1. Which game in the series is your favorite? Are the books worth reading as well?
Hmm, Jedi Outcast and Academy, maybe? The Thrawn books are pretty good, but I've always been a X-wing fan boy of Stackpole: "Rogue Squadron", "Wedge's Gamble", "Krytos Trap", "Bacta War" and "Isard's Revenge." Just my cents. I like your handle, by the way.
I still have my Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy on GC and XB. Although Dark Forces is still my fav or this series, it's essentially a Doom clone, but the levels are so intricate and you get so much gameplay out of it, plus it makes it feel that much more special to me now, since Rogue One came out.
@@randysavage1 In my opinion, the Jedi knight games were ok, Their main strength lay in the storyline but were surpassed in their gameplay by Jedi Acadamy, which was one of if not the best Star Wars game of its decade and was the culmination of the Kyle Katarn story arc.
on and off I've been working on adding music to the Dark Empire audiodrama in order to make it feel more cinematic. I'm like 50% done after about half a year, so SOON™.
The last 20 minutes of this felt super-rushed. Regardless, I'd love to see them do a live action adaption of the Dark Forces series on Disney+ someday.
Yeah, I agree. The story was very simplified. I also would like them to develope the story of the first Dark Forces game, not only the Darth Star plans mission.
Pretty neat trilogy, would definitely recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the JK games. Voice actors were pretty good overall, great audio design, plot wasn't exactly groundbreaking but still nice to see how they expand on the events in the games (and how they diverge from it). I do think there are a few glaring problems, one being how shoe-horned the relationship between Kyle and Jan is (I'm assuming the novellas do a better job on this?), but I guess they only had so much time. Speaking of which, this third installment feels kind of.. rushed? In comparison to the first two? A lot of stuff felt off in the writing with this one; lines, plot, pacing, character portrayal (especially Han Solo, yikes..). The floater voices didn't help, nor did the cartoon noises during the battle droid fight scene. Good start with the first two in the series, definitely deserved a better part 3
The novellas definitely had fleshed out Kyle and Jan's relationship with its prose and no need to rush time via the audiodramas (the ISD doesnt go nova in the books like it does here, the battle ends with its capture), same with more insights for plot and cast; good stuff to seek out if you can find them, I wish they mass produced this series' books.

So Kyle was the prophesied Jedi knight that would free the trapped souls of the ancient Jedi in Lord Kaan's thought bomb! Awesome!
It's audio drama it's very well done the audio mix is superb
Maybe because it's a professional production by ILM/HIghbridge recordings.
I love listening to the Star Wars radio drama while working. Now I can add this to my list of awesome radio dramas.
I love listening to anything Star Wars related while working, it makes the time go by do much faster

I’m no Jedi, just a guy with a lightsaber and a few questions - Kyle Katarn
Impressive! I love closing my eyes and "seeing" the action!

I lost it when Meatwad from Aqua Teen Hunger Force voiced the floater

Love this! Kyle Katarn is one of my favorite Star Wars characters and someone I feel I related too.
Though he began as one of the bad guys, Yun was one of the most developed and interesting characters in this saga.
More development than kylo 🥲
