i think the spider and the butterfly represent pregame shuichi and detective shuichi. at 2:51 , the spider dies because the killing game started and detective shuichi became real.

alright so basically at first the spider appears there and there probably symbolizing saihara pregame, and shows how hes been walking toward the butterfly i guess saying that he was looking foward with going into danganronpa, as the pregame clip you see and v3 shows you shuichi enroll into danganronpa. but at the end when shuichi shoots pregame him, there’s a scene also where it shows a dead spider and a butterfly alive so i guess that could mean that he killed the other person he was
like so others can see, people might not exactly understand the spider n butterfly stuff
