+Dubglock23 Hah. Alas, there are too many lowballers in the world as is! No need to summon more from the void.

Can you do an updated version?
I have a knife collection well over 6 figures. I don’t have a big following, I don’t have and web accounts. Most accounts want a track record to sell a 1000 dollar knife

I know this is an older video but it still rings true. I love when people on r/knife_swap open with "I paid $X, so just trying to get my money back!" Bruh, I don't care if you overpaid, that's YOUR fault... saying you're trying to pass that buck along to someone else is hilarious. Nobody cares what you paid. They care about the market value.
Or, even better, when someone has paid to have the knife modded and then they try to tack on 100% of the modification cost to the price of the knife. Oh, YOU had it reground and reanodized for $150? Good for you, but 99% of other people don't care, didn't ask for it, and just want the knife.

Good knowledge upload for us. On other channels all of that good stuff would have taken an hour, you know how to be concise and clear, not time wasted. Thanks

Thanks, Nick. One suggestion on price setting... E-bay allows an "advanced search" where you can view completed transactions for the item you plan to sell. You simply select the advanced search button (right next to search button) and then describe the item and select the boxes for "sold items" or "completed listings". This will quickly give you a sense for the market price of any item.

On some of these sites there’s no guarantee that once you pay them for item that they will send you the knife, it’s kind of on the honor system.

This video is great in so many ways. Thanks Nick. Priceless info. The entertainment value in "Be careful of" section is worth the watch alone. Also so true and informative.

+Nick Shabazz Not going back to a Slysz. Moved on to better knives :) Feel free to message me if you'd be interested in any loaners for reviews. I'm happy to support your channel....

... Better knives? Than the Slysz? Inconceivable! But the offer's appreciated. My dance card's a bit full for now, but maybe this summer we can work something out!

I got so lucky when someone offered to trade a Caly 3 CF in laminated ZDP189 for my Buck Paradigm pro...
I got my money's worth for sure with that one. Otherwise I'd have taken a loss in profit, instead I got something I like much more.
When in doubt about money, trade it out.

+Maxwell Super (Atomedge Sharpening) Yep! I got my LNIB ZT 0452CF for the Ti Chaparral, which I was afraid I was going to take a bath on. Sometimes it works, and it's stellar.

As someone who grew up in South Carolina, I have to say you nailed the lowballer voice. I've got relatives that sound exactly the same and oh my god did you nail it. Haha!

    DON'T GET INTO WATCHES,
But it is too late, so I need to know how to buy and sell watches.

Nick I just agreed to a trade but the guy says he doesn't want signature confirmation but he was super reputable and he had two people that said they bought from him and they both had 10K followers on Instagram

What is the name of the last knife? Sleach Bouie? LOL, I have no clue on how to spell it. Sorry to sound like a fool, but I really would like to find out what, and who, makes that knife. TIA!

+Code2142Loco Hah, no worries. It's the Spyderco Slysz Bowie, designed by a Polish dude, Marcin Slysz. It's a gem!

This is wonderful. I have a real issue with the insanity concerning people who honestly believe that after they have popped the new package crispiness cherry they can still sell the blade for retail or beyond. Getting a nice new package and opening it yourself to me is a large percentage for jumping in. Shoot, I dunno if some of these people just got done with their 'ole lady and now they're jumping the blade. We know how it is. I've called them out on this. Their only comeback was support the little man. What? Me spending my money at a bigger place is still helping one of my favorite lade companies. Buying a knife new at least is able to be tracked, see what's selling, profit made. Don't get me wrong, Second hand is fine, but that price has to be worth it through and through. But, yeah. Wondeful vid, once again.
