If you think about it, Goku's track record isn't that great when it comes to beating main villains.
- He didn't beat Raditz (that was Piccolo)
- Or Nappa (that was Vegeta)
- Or Vegeta in their first fight (Gohan fell on him as a giant ape and broke all his bones)
- Or Freeza (Future Trunks officially killed him with the sword when he was saved, and made into mecha-Freeza)
- Or Garlic Jr. (that was Gohan again)
- Or Cell. (that was Gohan again)
- Or Majin Vegeta (they just simply stopped because Buu woke up)
His first legit win against a main villain in DBZ was against Kid Buu. He didn't beat Zamasu either. (that was Future Trunks)
So this is definitely Goku's time to shine!
DaBlackX Goku best Frieza first in the original Dragonball z when he went super Saiyan & piccolo wouldn’t of been able to kill raditz without Goku holding him
But he never killed either of them. Goku was holding on to Radditz because he was practically dead after Radditz was snapping his ribs one by one with his foot. Right before Gohan went nuts and did that giant blast. Goku knew that they wouldn't be able to beat Radditz, that's why he sacrificed himself.
He also didn't officially beat Freeza, because he just blasted him when Freeza tried to shoot him from behind, and he thought Freeza died from it. But he was still alive when his mangled body was recovered by King Cold. Who....was killed by Trunks as well as Mecha Freeza.
Don't get it twisted though. This isn't hate. My list was out of frustration because Goku really hasn't had many decisive wins, despite being the main character.
DaBlackX lol I don’t care for Goku that much he is a good character I’ll admit that but he is always the hero and saves the day regardless if it’s sacrificing himself or getting rid of the threat at the moment , but I see what your saying in terms of actually killing people yeah he hasn’t killed a lot of people
I'm kinda biased because I grew up on the original Dragonball, where Goku was straight up stomping all the main villains. Back when Tien and Piccolo were actually great (still some of the best) villains and the others like Krillin and Yamcha were ACTUALLY important. So to see Goku being denied main villain victories in Z was a bit jarring.
He's still a great character though, and it hasn't been that bad as a Goku fan. Because in DB Super you get to see Vegeta, Krillin, Bulma, and Android 18 getting the most character development. Which is still good, imo. Because they're not cardboard cut-out characters behind Goku anymore, and are more fleshed out.

Vegeta lost the very first fight against Goku. It could be said that he has lost every fight to Goku cause Goku always held back after the very first fight. This was clearly stated in the end of the Buu saga. Right before they merge to become vegeto or whatever they call themselves at that point. Vegeta is pissed at Goku because Goku held back by not going Super Saiyan 3. That is the whole reason for Vegeta originally becoming a Z fighter. Then he figures out exactly what Goku fights for. He figures out that is why he can never jump to Goku level. Vegeta even relying on Goku and giving his remaining power in the tournament of power says that he feels that Goku is the one that has the power or capability to beat Jiren. It is not the main character effect because it has also been stated that Gohan is the most powerful Saiyan but he holds back to much do to lack of fighter or killer instinct. This was also clearly stated in Super.

My theory on ui spiky hair:-
As you know, UI can be reached by anyone. Its not only for saiyans like jiren, hit etc can reach it too but here's the catchy part the form that goku reached was the base form of complete UI that also the reason its shape is like goku normal hair(black hair) So, its next level must be Ssj1 UI and this form can only be reached by saiyans due too ssj thing. Also to claim my theory, the first person the ever unlocked UI was a saiyan also know as the father of saiyans. Before he could have finished mastering it with all the other form like ssj1, ssj2 etc he was erased by zeno-sama. So, UI is a saiyan technique that can be used by other but only to its base level
