I can’t underestimate how much I love the scene where Beerus is unsure of what Goku has done and has to resort to Whis to affirm what his own eyes have just witnessed. This is one of my all time favorite scenes of DB, my favorite episode by far.
DBS actually came out in 2015 and ended in 2018. While the dub came out in 2017 and ended around in 2019. Battle of Gods ( Movie ) was the thing that came out in 2013. And Resurrection F came out in 2015 also before Super released.
I remember watching this episode for the very first time… I was a senior in high school… 17 years old… eating french toast sticks from sonic, and upon seeing Goku’s new form made my jaw drop to the floor🔥

DB is one of the few English dubs I really like but the Japanese va for Vegeta during the speech is AMAZING. Would defo recommend it hits differently 🔥🔥🔥.

Do it, Kakarot!" The way Goku responds to that with the huge power up, that multi layered eargasm of a scream, the flashing flickering light from the far away shot as he powers up. Chills. The words cut deep too. It displays masterfully just how far their characters have come. The beautiful thing about the Vegeta speech to me, beyond the trust and brotherhood they've formed, is that at the end of the day, he is Goku's leader, the Prince of the Saiyans. I like to think that plays a bit of a factor into crucial times like this when Vegeta gives him a speech. He's motivating not only his comrade, his brother, but one of the few surviving full blooded members of his race. He feels a responsibility to the coach the Saiyans and guide them in trying times, we've seen it time an time again. It's similar to the scene from Goku Black arc where Vegeta beats Black down and talks about how he could never use Goku's body properly... Vegeta always gets the best speeches nowadays, it's the one thing he does get.
This whole fight between goku and jiren showcases how amazing and fast these people are fighting. Leaving them in a single pose while showing the after images of the blasts which are actually them punching. Then, he showed his hand jittering fast to show how crazy the speed of their fists are. When goku was hunched over. It wasn't an actual barrier. A barrier is what Android 17 uses to protect people like an orb. U saw that before he self destructed. Goku hunched over right there he is actually using his fists to fight back jirens Shockwave that where also coming from his fists as well. We just done see him actually doing the punchingnand moving around. Again staying still but actually fighting. lol Ugh so good. Him doing the eye flash then staying in one pose and him fighting was beautiful done. That's how you show case speed. Fighting yet not moving.... to our eyes the viewers... I'm an animated in 3D and seeing this done was just icing.
A little thing to notice, when gokus hair turned silver or white that’s the mastered form. If you notice the angels who are constantly in that form have white or silverish hair. Showing that theyre constantly in UI.

Dragon Ball might not exactly have the best story in a show, but if there's one thing dragon ball does right Story or not, it's the fights. DB fights and transformations will always be in my top 10 action anime scenes
This episode really showed Gokus ability to persevere to victory no matter how strong the opponent is it also showed that the reason Goku can attain such power is because he I a Saiyan with no limits and unlike jiren who fought for himself he fought for his family loved ones and the entire seventh universe
When I do a rewatch, I like watching the crowd reactions from all over. If I remember correctly, DB series being big in South America you can see several videos of people reacting to achieved mastered UI and the Jiren/Goku fight being shown on large outdoor TV displays at malls and such.
I remember watching this episode few years ago , i have to admit that it still the best episode thay i have ever watched. So many emotions , hype and goosebumps...

That translates to real life, people like that is what you need around you to motivate you. Love how this series a lot of the episodes translates to life in general. Basically having people around you who motivate you making you better. That’s what pushed Goku to become ultra instinct. My favorite series for sure ❤

What an episode, and what a reaction! I absolutely loved how Carlie was into it! And Vegeta's speech, my god! The voice acting for the DBZ/DBS dub is also exceptional. It's one of the very, very few english dubs that actually come close to the sub in terms of VA quality. On top of my head, the DB dubs and the FMA:B dub are up there. Basically every other popular series, the sub is miles and miles and miles ahead. Sometimes the dub is outright atrocious. Edit: I'd actually say the Seven Deadly Sins dub is alright as well. Not on the level of the others but not horrible either. Definitely watchable. But if you ever watch HxH, BNHA, TPN, One Piece - you ABSOLUTELY have to go for the sub, because the quality is far beyond anything the dub could give you.
I will never forget the reaction for this in Mexico (And a lot of south america) Goverments holding giant illegal watching parties all over the country. It had actual printed publicity like it was some kind of actual fighting tournament. Look up Mexico reactions for the next 2 episodes, it is insane.
