Lori Miller I like and respect him a lot also. He's so genuine, honest and not the least bit pretentious. What I respect most (more than his wit and intellect) is that this is a man who admits his flaws and mistakes and seems to learn and grow from them.
Lori Miller . Sorry. I thought David was in his late 50s, He’s 67 Not too young to have Dementia. But of cause Danny should stand by his long time friend..
Good stuff. It's so surreal that we feel so close to these guys. They were in our homes and hearts. Seared into our childhood memories, moments. Jacksons. Partridges. Bradys. Osmonds.
Thank you Danny for the kind words about David and the shared memories. He will be so missed and it is so wonderful to hear all of the beautiful words people have to say about the person he was. My heart is so broken.
You can't help but like Danny. He comes across as real, approachable, funny and loyal. I am glad that he and David are friends. We are all pulling for David and wishing him the best as he fights this battle.
You can hear the brotherhood in his voice ...the gratitude you don't see enough ...it makes all those hours enjoying that show that much more special in my life. 💪❤
Danny bonaduce always had an I’m bigger than life attitude! I mean this as a compliment, he had that arrora about him as a little boy on the partridge family and I think that’s what america loved about him ! Even today as he ages he has a great stage presence and an ok I am talking now persona ! Hats off Danny ,kudos to you
What a nice guy Danny is. Pretty down to earth and honest about his own troubles and not one bad word about David Cassidy even though David was alive at this stage. Usually people say how wonderful people are AFTER they are dead not whilst they are alive. Have alot of respect for Danny after watching this. R.I.P David
Danny has a record of being a loyal...kind and extremely thoughtful person... who like all human beings.. has flaws ..& at one time or another...has failed. 🤗❤️🦋🎶
Right on Danny, very kind of you to share that with us. I didn't know David did that for you. "Family" I remember those down years of your life. Glad to see you up again. We are the same age. Gezzz that was 1970 to 1974! Dang time flies.
growing up i soooooooooooooooooooooooo loved this show and partridege family. so interesting and i am all about past dates, past times, longivatity love to talk to the real cast of the partridge family. and share stories.
Wow, thanks for posting this. That's a good interview. Amazing how Cassidy and Bonaduce only worked together for 4 or 5 years on this TV show ALMOST 50 years ago and there's still that brotherly bond between them. When Bonaduce saw Cassidy in a recent interview, he had tears in his eyes, seeing his friend so different than he remembered and so ill.
I feel for Danny and the extended Cassidy family. The death of David has to be devastating if not completely unexpected given his recent health issues. This is a heartbreaking way to start the holiday seasons. This has been a particularly hard year for those of who grew up with various icons from the 1960s and 1970s. Adam West, Don Rickles, Roger Moore, Glen Campbell, Mary Tyler Moore, and now David Cassidy. Say what you will about celebrity worship -- and I sure don't have it myself -- but the fact is that for a lot of people there was a certain comfort in being entertained by the programs (films, TV shows, records) these people put out. It was a very fine group of entertainers. We can at least be glad that their greatest works have been preserved and people can go back and enjoy what they created in their most productive years. Every year has its passing of notable persons but this is rough year for a particular generation of people who grew up on programs from that era...
Oh goodness sake, she WAS part of one of the last major TV family sitcoms where the parents weren't portrayed as COMPLETE IDIOTS and she was on opposite the Partridge Family! I'm laughing a bit as I remember the supposed real-life blowup between Danny Bonnaduce and the kid [Michael Lookinland] who played Bobby Brady. This was shown in a tele-film about the Partridge Family TV series in a scene where "the Brady's and the Partridge's" met to make peace between the television families and Danny got into a fight with the other kid!!!! Now, while the younger kids are fighting, Barry Williams and the mothers are trying to help break up that fight while the Brady girls were flirting with David Cassidy! Years later, Danny and Barry Williams "Greg Brady" faced off in a celebrity boxing match. Danny was in better shape and with his greater experience with fights he naturally won the second fight against a "Brady!" LOL I guess I did remember something that put me in a better mood after all this sad business...!
Danny was the may favorite character in the Partridge family. He's had some up's and down but he's always been a fighter and a class act when talking about the show that made him famous. David Cassidy was a good friend to him for giving him a chance during a low point in his life. RIP David.
if you are danny's friend ... well that's loyatity Danny can be and was a dipshit but he is loyal and a friend who will stick up for you no matter what . my hat goes off to you Danny!!!!
I believe he is still a D J in Seattle, last I knew he was. Nice to see some brotherhood for a change! Danny's sobriety is to be respected, it's a hell of a battle, or should I say war! God bless!
'Everything good goes back to David'. I love it! Love to see how positive he is about DC. Now that the news posted DC is in the hospital with organ failure, I'm really hoping all will be ok. I have loved him since I was 5. I love all of them too! (I believe the older man when he says he grew up on the show, but the young woman is not believable).
So many negative comments about Danny Bonaduce so I feel compelled to stand up for him. Back in the mid to late seventies, Danny lived in the same apartment complex as two of my best gentlemen friends so our paths crossed a few times. To me Danny seemed soft spoken- almost shy. Never put on airs. Seemed almost embarrassed by his celebrity. He was always polite and respectful to me even though I was a massage parlor hooker. Danny's thing, at that time, was playing poker with my friend 'Doc' Halliday. 'Doc' always won a lot of money off of Danny. But Danny just kept coming back for more. Thanks for the memories Danny. I am Jo-Anna from the San Fernando Valley, Calif. and I am, on uTube KEEPLOOKINGUP Jo-😇 @
Cool story. I was born in '52, 2 years younger than David and have excellent memories of the PF. To me they seemed almost like the Monkees, a TV show about a pop/rock band from the late '60's. I never realized until after his death what happened to the band and their whereabouts. After David died I began, with the aid of UA-cam, to watch David Cassidy videos about his life and struggles. His life ended a little less sudden than his dad's, but both can be attributed, sadly, to alcoholism. While never an actual fan, I was sorry to hear of his passing.
Met Dan at a music convention about 15 years ago. I shook his hand and said good job on overcoming your addictions. He looked me dead in the eye and said thank you.
so heartbreaking for him to watch his good friend/big bro go through something this so devastating as anyone whose had family/friends with this go through.....just heartbreaking and sorry for your loss Danny you lost a good mate
Man! That chick interviewing him is HOT! Great interview. Danny has lived hard and fast and has come through on the other side just fine. He’s a good and loyal friend to David. Rest In Peace David Cassidy.
yes- I like what Danny said about David- I loved the Patridge Family... loved everyone... of course Davis hair... teeth ... smile... good brother... He was Beautiful to me.... RIP
R.i.p.david go up and sing with the angles free of pain I love you!!🙏💜 And Danny I grew up with guys and brings tears to my eyes about David but you made back better then ever and I'm honored to say I grew up with both of you....and you always be my inspiration of staying sober!!!! Sing with angles David free of all suffering 🙏💜 and Danny thank you so much love you man✌️💜
Friday nights, Partridge Family and Brady Bunch. Glad you guys got sober, me too! Glad you have good memories of David, Danny. I listen to you on KZOK often. God bless. Keep it simple, bro. Rest in Peace, David.
David was a really good young actor, and had an underrated singing voice. I wish he could have had bigger success after "The Partridge Family" was through...
he had an AWFUL childhood, abusive & alcoholic father who was a big screenwriter and beat him up. At one point he lived out of his car! He is a true surviver in every sense of the word. It's all in the book he wrote, you should read it.
What I like about Danny he is a down to earth guy, does not hide his past and says it the way it is without sugar coating it. I like the way he is devoted and gives credit to his friend David for helping him through his demons and that permitted him to get his life back. All the best to Danny, and I am sorry for the loss of your life long friend.
I really like Danny. If you pay attention to Partridge Family episodes you realize that the show basically revolved around his character. He was just a 9/10 year old kid, reading the majority of the lines in the scripts. Very impressive stuff.
I also think the comedic chemistry/timing between Danny and David was one of the most underrated in TV history sitcoms. I thought both were hilarious together, along with some Ruben Kincaide mixed in.
Aw! David, rest in peace. You really undervalued your talent, especially, as an actor. You had great comic timing, especially with danny bonoduce. I loved the partridge family, it was, corny, silly, but great popcorn fun. The music was really good for a t.v. show, and you had a good singing voice. M y favorite episode was when you, danny reuben, went to check on shirley and laurie on their private camping trip. That was halarious, course you had to bring your guitar! You will be fondly remembered david, by family, friends, and the music industry, some will say will say you were a small fish in a big pond, but so what, you were still in the water. But the fans, like me, will hold their old tiger-beat magazines and sing "I think I love you" and we do david. You faced your illness with courage, and a reminder to people not to be too harsh on a persons behavior, whether intoxicated or not. You never know what the cause is. My condolences to the family and friends of david. I will always be able to watch david on my partridge family dvds. Thank you david fot the memories. Go with god.
I saw Danny when he made a personal appearance in Lansdale Pa, at Clemens supermarket in 71 or 72. He was mobbed and had to stand on top of his limo to sign autographs. He seemed overwhelmed by the whole thing. He saw me in the crowd waving his album which made him smile and he of course signed it for me. I still have it. Then, about 20 years later or so I was with my Mother at King Of Prussia mall near Valley Forge, she went off shopping and I headed back to my car to smoke a joint. As I was walking down one of these super wide mall halls I saw this redhead walking towards me. When I saw it was Danny entering the mall I literally grabbed him and told him how much I loved the P.F.. He was very nice,He thanked me and walked away,he went into the bookstore. I think he was without a doubt the best celebrity encounter I ever had,the second being Joey Ramone.
I feel sorry for you. So many struggles there. My last girlfriend, and her illness with alcohol addiction and a few pills,I knew that it was too good to be true....rich, beautiful and sexy, but out of her gourd, and not capeable of being in control with her life, or her 2 kids...., omg...there are so many illnesses out there. I am so lucky that i am perfectly healthy right now...but i have met so many out there, who are not....many issues. After 40. good luck. I am now over 50. but I do things that a 30 year old would do. And other than my 45 year old diseasead alcoholic woman friend, most over 40, are too tired to do anything....whether it be overeating, or their arthritis medicines for their knees. Kind of sad. Danny was very good in this interview. he got a lot of facts out there. totally true. He had problems too. we all know that. but look inside your brain tonight. You have had problems. This is what makes us all human. Show less
God I *LOVED* David Cassidy! I grew up watching the Partridge Family & never missed a show, and then when they quit the show, it went into syndication & id watch the reruns over & over. I loved the whole family, but being a teeny bopper, I had such a crush on David! He was sooo achingly handsome & sweet to any girl he dated, and I was always fantasizing I’d be Mrs. David Cassidy one day! Now, he’s gone, & I feel so sad that he truly suffered so much in his fairly short life. He deserved a great life but never found it. I hope he’s at peace now...
I always liked Danny, great to see him stick up for David like this.
Lori Miller I like and respect him a lot also. He's so genuine, honest and not the least bit pretentious. What I respect most (more than his wit and intellect) is that this is a man who admits his flaws and mistakes and seems to learn and grow from them.
Lori Miller - Well He should. I’m sure David would do the same for him. I thought David was A bit young for Dementia.WOW, Scary!.
Jacksons. Partridges. Bradys. Osmonds.
Danny's a big KISS fan, so he's all right by me. (: Brady's rule, too.
"Everything good goes back to David" ~ Danny Bonaduce
So true!
R.I.P. sweet David!
He is loyal, good man. I'm impressed by his interview.
Danny you spoke from your heart, i have always liked you, hell, i grew up with you and David, God Bless you Both!
R. I. P., David Cassidy. You had a lot of heart and soul. Nicely done. You played music until you couldn't stand on stage anymore. : Admirable.
Beautifully said!!!

Exactly ! Better T.V. back in the day !
I've always rooted for Danny. How good of him to credit David for the good things that came his way.
I had the honor to fly first class with David in the 90s from Los Angeles to Orlando.
It was a great experience. He was a kind spirited gentleman
Danny bonaduce always had an I’m bigger than life attitude! I mean this as a compliment, he had that arrora about him as a little boy on the partridge family and I think that’s what america loved about him ! Even today as he ages he has a great stage presence and an ok I am talking now persona ! Hats off Danny ,kudos to you
Touching. I still can't believe we lost David this week. they are true brothers.

Danny that was very up lifting. David was you special person in this time. Very good
shout out to danny from australia, very cool guy and loyal friend..best regards and sad news about david
I love Danny too David always spoke so very high of him he said he definitely loved him as a brother
God bless those guys. They gave us so much joy in the 1970s. Those are the memories we must remember.
I love that danny, he tells it straight. To step up on the world stage say "i was livid and I was wrong" takes a hell of a lot of virtue.
I always liked Danny, he seems honest
That was a good interview. Danny and David were always close. Always loved David.
Really nice that they were close on & off the set!
Nice Danny ,speaking so kindly. you are a good guy.
Love Danny....has always spoken affectionately about his mate David and how he owes so much to him.
It's an amazing thing how a few years under the belt will help us appreciate miracle of life. It's pretty cool.
David you have a true friend in Danny. That is so precious.God bless you.
Danny is doing so much better now. Danny always looked up to David as a big brother.
A very nice tribute. When he's on, Bonaduce is an eloquent and very sensitive man.
What a nice guy Danny is. Pretty down to earth and honest about his own troubles and not one bad word about David Cassidy even though David was alive at this stage. Usually people say how wonderful people are AFTER they are dead not whilst they are alive. Have alot of respect for Danny after watching this.

I know this how, what? Not sure what you're asking.
Awesome rest in peace David Cassidy
Great interview 👍👍 Good to see Danny has it all together now.
Danny....you are a good guy caring about your co worker! I hope things always go good for you. I know you were so busy and you were a talented child!
Nice Job Danny.I wasn't expecting Kudos from this. Thanks man !
Good on you Danny , as honest as the day is long
+1 Danny. Sorry for the recent loss of your friend.
Danny ....you were brothers!! So sweet!
So sad to lose someone. God bless Danny.
RIP David Cassidy. It is good to watch this and hear Danny Bonaduce had good things to say about him before his death.
Thanks, Danny. You are a kind, kindred spirit
I loved you guys! You made my childhood fun....i enjoyed you all. Period!!!
That was a GREAT interview!!!!!
I worked with Danny B back in '86 when he was really down and out. He was actually a joy to work with, despite tons of problems he was going through.
Let's not forget we lost Florence Henderson ON Thanksgiving Day last year. Now this.
Oh goodness sake, she WAS part of one of the last major TV family sitcoms where the parents weren't portrayed as COMPLETE IDIOTS and she was on opposite the Partridge Family!

Wow .... Danny looks great, same great sense of humor!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful interview.
Danny was the cutest little boy on the show. He was so funny. well I'm sure he still is.
@JohnBelz Let's see your photos, John. Then we'll see if you have room to talk
He is no longer a cute boy
if you are danny's friend ... well that's loyatity Danny can be and was a dipshit but he is loyal and a friend who will stick up for you no matter what . my hat goes off to you Danny!!!!

Yes indeed.
I believe he is still a D J in Seattle, last I knew he was. Nice to see some brotherhood for a change! Danny's sobriety is to be respected, it's a hell of a battle, or should I say war! God bless!
So glad to see Danny is still doing good with himself.
Very nice comments by Danny he’s a great guy👌
Sorry for the loss Danny. He will always part of The Partridge Family.
Whatever people say about Danny, he still is a good friend to have in your corner .
Very sweet living tribute to David
Absoulotly love Danny. Forever missing David Cassidy 😭
Sounds like David really cared about Danny...like a little brother.
Italian songs
Hmm, sounds like a charity project to me.
Charles Wilson Peale, perhaps it was a two way street like so many relationships are. It could be that Danny supported David in many ways.
I doubt it. David had money and looks. Contrast, Danny Bonaduce. Nuff said.
Awesome interview!!
I love the fact that Danny NEVER says anything negative about David. He is/was a REAL. AND LOYAL friend to David for the long haul! Rare nowadays
Despite all hear about Danny Bonauce he has been there done that and he's still a really cool guy! Stay the wa you are and Best wishes!
'Everything good goes back to David'. I love it! Love to see how positive he is about DC. Now that the news posted DC is in the hospital with organ failure, I'm really hoping all will be ok. Its' good to hear first hand from someone who knows Danny instead of outsiders who only have their judgemental "opinions."

Great interview!
Friday nights, Partridge Family and Brady Bunch. Glad you guys got sober, me too! Glad you have good memories of David, Danny. I listen to you on KZOK often. God bless. Keep it simple, bro. Rest in Peace, David.
Danny walked through the valley of the shadow of death & made it out of the other side.
Great to see they are still friends
I am coming to the end of my third year of caring for my mother with dementia. I am sole caregiver. Hardest thing I've ever done.
I cared for my mum with Alzheimer's, it's such a shame that we now know David Cassidy didn't have Dementia and that he admitted he was a drunk!
you danny and david were probably two of the funniest guys back in the early seventies on television`s partridge family.
David Cassidy was merely "eye candy," he was not comedic. Danny was.
way to go Danny !
Good to see Danny. So sad today.
David was a really good young actor, and had an underrated singing voice. I wish he could have had bigger success after "The Partridge Family" was through...

Well he was nominated for an Emmy and go look up his discography and listen to that amazing voice! You are obviously clueless
Rusty=basement dwelling Fucktard. Your mommy's calling you for din-din!
Show was canceled because Cassidy wanted out.
He did.
So glad danny has his life together.
