John, God bless you boy. I also was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2019. I had surgery which included removing my prostate and my bladder was also removed and replaced with a neobladder. I don't wish this procedure on anyone - including my worst enemy. I hope the BCG treatment is successful so you can avoid the surgical route. My prayers are with you and I wish you nothing but the best. Be strong, listen to the doctors, and quit those cigarettes! Take it one day at a time and stay positive. I had a friend who was diagnosed with lung cancer at age 70. He died about 9 months later. He was a lifelong smoker. After the diagnosis he was asked if he was finally going to quit smoking. He stated that at that point it was too late, so why quit? He was probably right.
