TC Electronic Eyemaster does the same thing but has a metal enclosure. The EQ stack is maxed out, and there are only volume and gain knobs. Behringer and TC are both MusicTribe brands owned by Uli Behringer.
I've got both. The Berhinger is only better if you're going for the MBV sound. Everything else I use the Eyemaster. It's sick going into a Rat, or EQD Acapulco Gold.
@@toddgoolsby9681 I boost mine with an overdrive, and run it into a Turbo Rat clone, myself. I run it using an ABY in parallel with my Orange amp so the amp gets boosted with the same OD as the chainsaw, signal chain and so that the the chainsaw is amplified using a separate solid state power amp or Joyo Meteor bantamp and cab. I have the HM300 as well, and actually find that the weird cocked wah sound in the mids suits bass guitar really well, so I use it on my bass pedalboard.

Boss MT-2 pedal has been my go-to forever. I play melodic metal so that's probably why. Will have to check this out for sure though🤘
the MT-2 is the metal zone, which the UM300 is the clone of that. The HM300 is a clone of the HM-2.
@needsLITHIUM Yep I love my MT-2 its the Goat with my Marshall Code 50 Amp and Schecter CR-1 Hellraiser Diamond Series Guitar 😎 I didn't know the 300 was a clone of that pretty cool.
This is based around the HM maybe you will find it interesting
started with this then was given a MXR Fullbore Metal at work. Night and Day difference! Get what you can afford but you get what you pay for and Behringer pedals are very low budget.
Fullbore is a different circuit entirely, and they're like $45 used.

Hey, at least HM-2s are about half the price they were a few years back! $100-200 is common, didn't want to build one or get a clone, so I could finally justify one 😉

The Behringer pedals have such a soft enclosure, the pot metal breaks. The jacks and the input for dc power are quite weak. For the price good, but just buy a boss used. Or buy two of these.
Yeah that's the only problem I wonder if maybe making the same series but with higher specs can be a good idea 💡

The um300 is a better choice... It's the best pedal to boost an amp or overdrive to make it tight and more metal... Like a tubescreamer dial out the distortion...
