4:06 "So players don't get that spret frout" loool, I'm glad to see someone else also accidentally jumbled those together. Having done that myself, I'm glad to not be alone lmao. Absolutely sick video tour!
Man Sheldon is just incredible. So knowledgeable on every aspect (no surprise), and you can tell he lives and breathes this stuff. Also super sweet of him to give you a bag with a custom string set he knew you'd like. I can't wait for the day I'm lucky enough to get a Dingwall!
As a business minded person, this was so incredibly inspiring. Stoked to see Sheldon succeed and build such a killer brand. I can't get enough Dingwalls. Just want more
Wow. I had no idea what goes into the process of making a Dingwall bass. From the extra steps of taking an already assembled bass and turning it into a perfect “weapon”, to the special woods that go into the custom basses, I can now really understand why those instruments are held in such a high regard. I know that once I’d be able to afford one, I’ll get one. Props to the Dingwall guys. Thank you Andrew for the video and thanks to Sheldon for showing us the factory ❤️🔥🤘
Everybody needs to check out Ritter. They put tremolo systems on their basses and they even make their own strings in house. Some of their basses are built such that the entire length between nut and bridge is fretboard. The entire length is fretboard. The pickups are hiding under the fretboard. It’s wild
So you are telling me... That hopefully by the end of the summer... they will have their custom shop assembly line working at getting custom basses done in less than a year? AND a headless prototype??? I have been waiting for a headless Dingwall for SO LONG! If I knew that, I would have waited out getting my second NG3 lol. Love Sheldon and the crew at Dingwall. "Spret Frout"
19:10 using an estimate of 6" of wire per turn it comes to about 4.4 miles per guitar. The problem is the earth is not a spinning space ball but if it was the size the edumacated you of by my math it comes out about 5700 guitars
I liked it but I am a little bit disappointed about the fact they take the wood out of trees but they prefer they don’t know how. As a Canadian company they should care a lot where these wood are taken from.
@@UndarZ mics are on their shirts, this was a conscious decision. Even if that was true, you can separate audio from video, he could've centered it easily when he was editing. Plus idk who is recording with stereo mics on cameras for videos like this.
Panning your mics hard left and right is... a choice. Understand what you may have been going for, but it is overall more distracting than anything else, as the side the audio is on doesn't always correlate with what side the current speaker is on in the video. It just makes for a more distracting experience in an otherwise cool video. Please keep mics mono or at the very least, don't pan hard left and right, as there is nothing center to... well center the sound, makes it feel more empty, yet somehow overbearing at the same time. No hate, just an audio nerd trying to give some advice.
Im probably the only bassist here that doesnt iike Dingwall. Too big and bulky, and unnatural sounding But if you like them, more power to you (different tastes etc)

As a bass player, thank you to the guitar player touring a bass factory.
having the 2 mics panned hard left and right is driving me beyond insane
Dingwall headless? 👀👀👀
They do have Simon Padalka now ;)
Check out the Padalka Neptune bass!
my left ear enjoyed this
I’m so jealous, I love my dingwall and want to tour that facility so bad
.
Usually you find out someone owns a Dingwall within 5 minutes of meeting them.
"Hi, I'm John. It's nice to meet you and BTW, I own a Dingwall NG3."
I met Sheldon a few times, one time before Dingwall had gone bass-only. He's a solid dude!

Thank you for doing this Andrew & Sheldon 🙏🏽
Cool video!!! Sheldon Dingwall's technical knowledge, passion, and attention to detail is remarkable!
Love that Dingwall is a Canadian company. I've never played one before but they look and sound really nice. 👌
Nice dude. Good video. Thanks.
Nice of Andrew to dress up 😂😂😂
Thanks for the tour. It's just the damn magic of guitar birth.
Sheldon is one hell of a dude!!! Owing a dingwall makes you feel like you’re part of the family, that’s cool they’re adding binding!
Dingwall, absolutely phenomenal...Craziest, no, not quite!

I like the “I’ll take your entire stock.” Reference that Baena made
I’m happy Greg “The Hammer” Valentine has a successful post wrestling career. Nice guitars too.
Spret frout. Haha.
Hell yeah binding. Black blocks and binding on a maple neck is my favorite neck.
Awesome video.

4:07 Man, I really do hate spret frout. 🤣
Bought a Droc Standard a month ago, it is the best quality import I’ve ever played. Their QC step is extremely evident.
bass at 22:40 looks like an expensive chess board.
Enjoyed the vid!!
"That machine used to make caskets." That's so fuckin metal. I'm surprised Andrew didn't say that out loud and cry laughing 😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘
Great video. Really interesting.
SPRET FROUTS LOL
What is the black guitar hanging in the sanding room at 10:40. That offset body style is so sick.
Dingwall makes the best basses hands down - Im just waiting for a black Nolly model to arrive in stock :)

Simon Padalka works at Dingwall now? Pretty cool!
Interesting and inspiring. Shoot more B-roll/closeups. 😉
2:12 ready to play line? aliexpres?? take it apart and level it, adjust it and you're done??
That dingwall guitar looks clean tho , they should make more
If there isn’t one ding in the wall on this tour I’ll be pissed. Also, Slash doesn’t even play these, why does he have his own waiting area?
Damn, that backpack looks fresh. Love the diamond stitching. I wonder if the level of quality matches his basses?
Wait, does dingwall actually come from dinging the bass heads into the wall?😂
You guys think Dingwall is wild? Check out Ritter.
Perfect place 🔥🤘
love my D roc 5 import but am interested in the new fast lane bass they are talking about
my NG 3 is going on 4 years and still plays like the day i got it
Question for Sheldon. Does Dingwall make headless basses, and if so Does it come in standard Frett?
Can the Dingwall backpack hold a Fractal FM3 ?
I'm a Warwick man but this got me thinking 🤔
You really can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
ALEMBIC: "Hold my beer...."
Oh sure, throw that headless comment out at the end. I gotta see that.
Hey man ya I watched your video of hypnotize by sleep token and I noticed your using a 6 string what tuning are you in
1:45 surely it was Keith Richards who tried the dingwall guitar? He plays with 5 strings and it's not that common for guitar players to do that 🤔
I liked it but I am a little bit disappointed about the fact they take the wood out of trees but they prefer they don’t know how. As a Canadian company they should care a lot where these wood are taken from.
23:24 wait, a h-less prototype???
there should be a link to this guys gear

their basses would be great if they didn't cost 2000 euro minimum - for a "low spec" stock one....
They are a bit pricey. They definitely should have some lower priced options. But that’s not for me to decide.
@WorbyBass 💀
I've heard a bass player make a £75 bass sound priceless.
That being said, I've heard someone (at NAMM) make a £15,000 bass sound like £75.
Ferrari’s would be great if they were $20k, too.

My combustion with a P-tone neck pickup sounds amazing, to me and to me they play amazing too.

@@BaenaCarcosa can't argue that... I just thought there might be a bass possible of playing crazy low without a Digitech 😂
Why are you here watching a video about something you didn’t want to watch? And why are you here complaining about something that’s your fault?

Recording in Stereo is great for music, but for listening to an interview with headphones was bad.... I had to switch my audio to Mono.
