4:06 "So players don't get that spret frout" loool, I'm glad to see someone else also accidentally jumbled those together. Having done that myself, I'm glad to not be alone lmao. Absolutely sick video tour!
Haha, same here, however Andrew said it with some much conviction it's maybe becoming the regular term now
@@Micha83HB let's make it a thing!
@@Micha83HB Hell yeah, merch inbound when?! Lmao
The 3 bass players are drooling rn
🤤
I'm a guitarist and I am...
🤤🤤😋
I play guitar and bass. I love playing bass.
@@jconner3891 same here, I also play upright bass which is a blast
As a bass player, thank you to the guitar player touring a bass factory.
Man Sheldon is just incredible. So knowledgeable on every aspect (no surprise), and you can tell he lives and breathes this stuff. Also super sweet of him to give you a bag with a custom string set he knew you'd like. I can't wait for the day I'm lucky enough to get a Dingwall!
Dingwall headless? 👀👀👀
They do have Simon Padalka now ;)
Check out the Padalka Neptune bass!
I met Sheldon a few times, one time before Dingwall had gone bass-only. He's a solid dude!
I’m so jealous, I love my dingwall and want to tour that facility so bad
As a business minded person, this was so incredibly inspiring. Stoked to see Sheldon succeed and build such a killer brand. I can't get enough Dingwalls. Just want more
Wow. I had no idea what goes into the process of making a Dingwall bass. From the extra steps of taking an already assembled bass and turning it into a perfect “weapon”, to the special woods that go into the custom basses, I can now really understand why those instruments are held in such a high regard.
I know that once I’d be able to afford one, I’ll get one.
Props to the Dingwall guys. Thank you Andrew for the video and thanks to Sheldon for showing us the factory ❤️🔥🤘
.
Usually you find out someone owns a Dingwall within 5 minutes of meeting them.
"Hi, I'm John. It's nice to meet you and BTW, I own a Dingwall NG3."
my left ear enjoyed this
I’m happy Greg “The Hammer” Valentine has a successful post wrestling career. Nice guitars too.
Nice of Andrew to dress up 😂😂😂
having the 2 mics panned hard left and right is driving me beyond insane
Thank you for doing this Andrew & Sheldon 🙏🏽
Love that Dingwall is a Canadian company. I've never played one before but they look and sound really nice. 👌
Sheldon is one hell of a dude!!! Owing a dingwall makes you feel like you’re part of the family, that’s cool they’re adding binding!
I like the “I’ll take your entire stock.” Reference that Baena made
bass at 22:40 looks like an expensive chess board.
Dingwall, absolutely phenomenal...Craziest, no, not quite!
Everybody needs to check out Ritter. They put tremolo systems on their basses and they even make their own strings in house. Some of their basses are built such that the entire length between nut and bridge is fretboard. The entire length is fretboard. The pickups are hiding under the fretboard. It’s wild
4:07 Man, I really do hate spret frout. 🤣
Spret frout. Haha.
Nice dude. Good video. Thanks.
So you are telling me... That hopefully by the end of the summer... they will have their custom shop assembly line working at getting custom basses done in less than a year? AND a headless prototype??? I have been waiting for a headless Dingwall for SO LONG!
If I knew that, I would have waited out getting my second NG3 lol. Love Sheldon and the crew at Dingwall.
"Spret Frout"
Spret Fout around 4:05
Thanks for the tour. It's just the damn magic of guitar birth.
If there isn’t one ding in the wall on this tour I’ll be pissed. Also, Slash doesn’t even play these, why does he have his own waiting area?
Damn, that backpack looks fresh. Love the diamond stitching. I wonder if the level of quality matches his basses?
Bought a Droc Standard a month ago, it is the best quality import I’ve ever played. Their QC step is extremely evident.
Great video! Worth every minute and every second of watching. I already own 2 Combustion and I’m looking to get a Canadian made. Absolutely amazing company and unmatched customer service.
Interesting and inspiring. Shoot more B-roll/closeups. 😉
Simon Padalka works at Dingwall now? Pretty cool!
19:10 using an estimate of 6" of wire per turn it comes to about 4.4 miles per guitar. The problem is the earth is not a spinning space ball but if it was the size the edumacated you of by my math it comes out about 5700 guitars
2:12 ready to play line? aliexpres?? take it apart and level it, adjust it and you're done??
Dingwall makes the best basses hands down - Im just waiting for a black Nolly model to arrive in stock :)
What is the black guitar hanging in the sanding room at 10:40. That offset body style is so sick.
SPRET FROUTS LOL
Question for Sheldon. Does Dingwall make headless basses, and if so Does it come in standard Frett?
That dingwall guitar looks clean tho , they should make more
my NG 3 is going on 4 years and still plays like the day i got it
Great video. Really interesting.
Perfect place 🔥🤘
Enjoyed the vid!!
Great video but please mono audio next time.
I'm a Warwick man but this got me thinking 🤔
Didnt know dingwall was made in Canada.
El mustaine rubio!
there should be a link to this guys gear
"That machine used to make caskets." That's so fuckin metal. I'm surprised Andrew didn't say that out loud and cry laughing 😂😂😂🤘🤘🤘
Awesome video.
Hey Andrew
Oh sure, throw that headless comment out at the end. I gotta see that.
Hey man ya I watched your video of hypnotize by sleep token and I noticed your using a 6 string what tuning are you in
ALEMBIC: "Hold my beer...."
You guys think Dingwall is wild? Check out Ritter.
You really can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Spret frout
Andrew is such a sparkling and charismatic host.
Leland Sklar sent me. here
Dude looks like Quentin Tarantino
so cool bad camera . all good tho
Why the weird panning with the voices?
Stereo mic on the camera?
@@UndarZ mics are on their shirts, this was a conscious decision. Even if that was true, you can separate audio from video, he could've centered it easily when he was editing. Plus idk who is recording with stereo mics on cameras for videos like this.
My ears are so confused watching this
That’s cuz you’re supposed to use your eyes to watch
Hard panned audio makes this very uncomfortable to watch with headphones on 😢
I’m from Saskatoon and I didn’t even know this. Neat!
Yeah. BUT DO YOU PLAY MUSIC
first
love you Baena
Qhere the fuck is taskatune
Saskatoon is in Saskatchewan.
@@zadtheinhaler ?
my god this guy is boring.... "mkay. mkay. mkay.". Get someone worthy in there infront of Sheldon
He’s letting Sheldon talk. Which is a lot better than interrupting him constantly.
Panning your mics hard left and right is... a choice. Understand what you may have been going for, but it is overall more distracting than anything else, as the side the audio is on doesn't always correlate with what side the current speaker is on in the video. It just makes for a more distracting experience in an otherwise cool video. Please keep mics mono or at the very least, don't pan hard left and right, as there is nothing center to... well center the sound, makes it feel more empty, yet somehow overbearing at the same time. No hate, just an audio nerd trying to give some advice.
their basses would be great if they didn't cost 2000 euro minimum - for a "low spec" stock one....
They are a bit pricey. They definitely should have some lower priced options. But that’s not for me to decide.
These are a completely unique instrument from the ground up. There’s nothing low spec about them. I was completely shocked when I got my combustion 6 string. It instantly made me a better player. Certain pieces that just sounded off on other basses, now sounded on. Then there was all the new music I started creating. I should’ve bought one years ago! Within a 6 months of getting it, I dumped all my other gear and bought 5 string as a back up for live shows. None of my other instruments could come close to it. I knew I would never play the other ones again.
@@13_cmi you can’t lower the price without lowering the quality. My Combustion made every other bass I ever played instantly look a lot worse. There’s a reason for that! Most of the companies just want to slam out as many as possible. He must be doing things right to have a three-year waitlist and still people are putting in orders.
Here’s my short story. I needed some warranty work due to the EMG preamp failing. I made arrangements to be in Saskatoon at the factory (I’m only 2 1/2 hours away). I expected to leave my bass with someone at the front desk and have it shipped to me in a month or so, at my expense. Nope! Tyler took me to the back, stopped that he was doing and fixed it right then and there. Not only that, he gave the whole instrument a look over just to make sure everything was good. Everything was perfect!
I’ve never had sustain like this. I’ve never had a neck with no dead spots. I’ve never been able to to reach the 24th fret so easily and have it sound that good. You just can’t cheapen that.
@@WorbyBass 💀
I've heard a bass player make a £75 bass sound priceless.
That being said, I've heard someone (at NAMM) make a £15,000 bass sound like £75.
Im probably the only bassist here that doesnt iike Dingwall. Too big and bulky, and unnatural sounding
But if you like them, more power to you (different tastes etc)
My combustion with a P-tone neck pickup sounds amazing, to me and to me they play amazing too.
You wasted 24 minutes and 23 of my life, and I want back! Also, let this dude know that master builders only belong in LEGO
Nobody forced you to watch 😂
@@BaenaCarcosa can't argue that... I just thought there might be a bass possible of playing crazy low without a Digitech 😂
Why are you here watching a video about something you didn’t want to watch? And why are you here complaining about something that’s your fault?
Now tour Spector
This! Also Fodera, F Bass, Warwick Masterbuilt, Mayones, Ken Smith.
When you brag about your 20 year old crappy cnc machine...
