Liam Gallagher (Oasis). I saw them perform at KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas in 1995 (2nd Night btw). Musically, it was awesome, but Liam just kinda stood there, lazily sang into the mic and that was it. After that, when he started going on about being better than the band they blatantly ripped off, The Beatles (which I'm a DIE HARD fan of as are most people for sure), I pretty much checked out of being a fan of Oasis. What I like about Billy Corgan when he told a Stage Crasher to: "Get the fuck off my stage before I punch you in the fucking face" I was laughing my ass off and said: "You better do it son, cuz HE WILL punch you in the face."
Did you know Billy Corgan is a wrestling fan and came within a hair's breadth of owning Total Non Stop Action Wrestling (or TNA, for short)? He wanted to acquire the company and everyone in the industry thought he would do it. But he wasn't just going to own it, he was going to appear on it weekly, as a Vince McMahon like character. He was going to appear on the show weekly and set up matches and be the authority figure, and would even have the occassional match. He missed out when wrestler Jeff Jarrett and Anthem Entertainment outbid him at the eleventh hour.

Where’s Chris Taylor Brown from Trapt? That dude is unhinged. He went off on other bands and fans online and there are videos of him actually yelling at his fans. Also, let’s not mention the other fact, there has been a revolving door of band members under his leadership.
They actually had some good tunes and they could have become huge, but the singer was so irritating and full of himself that people began to hate the band because of it. I think the band themselves had enough of him and a famous fight happened. Alternative music accepted egos and rock stars, but as long as it didn't escalate to parody levels, which Johnny did.

So because the alternative, rock, punk and metal bands don't make pop, their singers are bad?
I am sure that the Smashing Pumpkins were ruined by Corgan for the 30 million people who bought their albums.
So Billy Corgin "ruined" the Pumpkins into multiple platinum albums?
tragic isn't it, they are obviously just out sleeping in tents on sidewalks because Billy ruined them.
A list without Ian Watkins (Lostprophets) and Chris T. Brown (Trapt) is TOTALLY invalid.
they did say they were avoiding scandal so while he is numbers 1-10 on this list if you include scandals for this list he doesn't count.
This is about singers who are supposedly bad at singing, not singers who were bad people. Granted, it's not exactly the best list of that kind because it includes Billy Corgan, but that's what they were going for. And Chris T. Brown isn't a bad guy: he was just misunderstood.
Limp Bizkit is not to blame for Woodstock 99. Greed was.
Patrick Stump? REALLY???
This AI generated list is almost unbelievably bad. Watchmojo what did you do!?
It's not AI generated. It's community based, which is probably worse.
I normally don't do this, but c'mon, watchmojo. Nah i can't agree with half of these choices .
Same
"Top 10 bands held back by divisive singers." There I fixed your title for you Watchmojo.
PATRICK STUMPF? HOW DARE YOU!
Who wrote this one ? Who approved it ? I feel bad for the narrator as he will be the target for the criticism. This list doesn’t even make much sense at all?
What I like about Billy Corgan when he told a Stage Crasher to: "Get the fuck off my stage before I punch you in the fucking face"
I was laughing my ass off and said: "You better do it son, cuz HE WILL punch you in the face."
@@dhenderson1810 no, I didn't. Sucked he got outbid.
The Smashing Pumpkins being on this list is laughable, and the copy written for that entry is even more laughable. Where are these fans that you claim want Smashing Pumpkins to have a different frontman? Billy Corgan IS the Smashing Pumpkins.
Who on Earth thinks the GG Allin held the Murder Junkies back?
Billy Corrigan & Paula Abdul need to start a band called "The Nasals." Neither can sing, yet both are wealthy from a lack of talent.
Dear WatchMojo, how about you guys make a Top 10 List of the Top 10 Lists that you got WRONG and put this one as 1 through 7.
I'd pay top dollar to see that.
I can't think of any lead singer who ruined his band more than Kurt Cobain.
Haha! Boom!
As soon as you mentioned Patrick stump I unsubscribed. First what makes one make a list so judgemental and 2 how can you blame the voice of the band for the downfall cause I’m pretty sure fob and creed are still fricken huge here. Watch mojo ain’t shit anymore
Worst list yet. Just awful.
GG Allin made the band 😂
Is this a early april fools joke?...at this point i feel like mojo is just pulling shit out their asses.
As I Lay Dying is the definition of a band ruined by the lead singer
still never figured out why they named themselves after that book, like did they ever read it?
So... this list is just rage bait, isn't it?
Umm... the Murder Junkies would not even have BEEN a band without GG Allin.
this list is an absolute joke and full of lies
I've FFDP several times. He's got a great stage vice. And excellent stage presence. Think you need to evaluate and rate yourself as poor.
Yeah that blew my mind
Adam Levine , Maroon 5
The voice of Billy Corgan was the voice of the Generation X, full of angst and tired of how life is going. The guy was later a diva but the band was not ruined
I saw Creed this year for the first time this past summer and Scott was actually appreciative to the crowd. I guess he grew up
Scott Stapp redemption arc
Does he still sing like he's trying to mimic Cher at her worst? Just pronounce the words so we can recognize them.
@@BasedJones98Yea that's why I could never get into Creed, or Staind, or any number of other groups with the same vocal style. It sounds so fake, and forced.
lol April fools came early for watchmojo I see. So bad
GG Allin WAS the murder junkies
Allegedly?😂 We're not idiots.
Putting Billy corgan on this list was bad enough but now Julian??? I'm honestly scared for what's next
It's 2025 and you stil blame Limp Bizkit on 99 riot?
Ian Brown!! Are you crazy - the man is a genius
Smashing pumpkins? This list is going to be a dumpster fire i can tell.. well time to keep watching i guess.. but wow... Cant wait to see nirvana on here at this rate
OK what the hell is this list? BS!
Do you get the feeling this list was made by someone whose garage band never got out of the garage?
GG Allin didn’t ruin the band because he was controversial - he ended it because he committed bad crime and then ODed
Weird list really. I was specting Rob Zombie in the White Zombie times
Terrible takes we have here.
calling Ian Watkins' horrific crimes a "scandal" is almost as atrocious as this list
Was he on the list? I must have missed it
@ not on the list, but Lostprophets is playing in the background when they say they’re not including any bands with “scandals”
@@cassieknightt Oh. I skipped over parts of the video and missed that
GG Allin was just insane
He didn't start out that way. I knew the guy before he flipped. he was actually pretty normal until he got on stage.
clearly didnt research properly, the woodstock riots were due to lack of food and water which was overpriced. all fred did was put on a show. he also used hate as marketing coz the haters actually love them in secret. he literally hasnt done anything wrong. alsp patrick stump can sing anf fall out boy are still massive. five finger death punch are also still huge aswell, creed are massive and stayed popular so these bands havent suffered, they're still quite popular playing big venues and the list as always is complete bs with no actual research or knowledge
Where’s Chris Taylor Brown from Trapt? That dude is unhinged. He went off on other bands and fans online and there are videos of him actually yelling at his fans. Also, let’s not mention the other fact, there has been a revolving door of band members under his leadership.
Okay, this is the first time I've heard of Razorlight, and already their lead singer is pissin' me off.
You're not missing out, as a fan of UK 00's indie rock, they're easily the worst band that came out of it.
Me: *enjoying WM video*
WM: *Julian Casablancas*
Me: *dies*
i thought this list was gonna be about lead singers who were jerks or something like tht, not attacking their vocal abilities.
3:45 im out.
I can't believe that Tim Lambesis from As I Lay Dying wasn't on this list.
They said they weren't focusing on actual crimes committed by frontmen
Who wrote this crap?
