Man, did some Ambu Easy for the first time last night. I wish I had watched this before using normal hallmarks to buy a body voucher... D: ah well now I know for next time! Great vid!
Thanks Daniel! I appreciate that and I am glad that the videos are helping you. I do have a Patreon set up and I would be very grateful for your support. You can find the link in the description.
LOL did they really limit metals/fibres to 5 per month? (Plus the 5 from total hallmarks). I just upgraded full +2 set with 45 metals in one go last night.
You might want to look at that page more closely. On the source you listed you can see in the chart that the lowest number listed is for a party of two. Additionally, you will find this quote: "Badges of Gallantry are the secondary currency of Ambuscade. They can be used to purchase items from Gorpa-Masorpa, and are only given to those who participate in Ambuscade with other players." which clearly states that you need to do ambuscade with other players to get gallantry.
Awesome guide and very helpful for someone who has done 0 Ambuscade. My question is about the armor rewards, most of the jobs I play are using +1 AF and Relic or Alluvion Skirmish gear, will this armor be better or is it situational?
Alluvion Skirmish +2 will definitely be better in most situation than AF or Relic +1 or Alluvion Skirmish gear. Although you will still macro in some AF or Relic pieces for certain situations.
Are there requirements (such as RoV or AMAN progress) before you can trade Ambuscade vouchers to Gorpa Masorpa? I have volumes from daily quests, but haven't actually won any Ambuscade battles yet. I bought some vouchers (from mog pells if I remember), but nothing happens when I trade them to him.
Make sure you have unlocked Ambuscade by going in to your Records of Eminence and following the prompts there. So long as you have it unlocked I believe you should be able to interact with the npc normally.
@@cloudchiefarcade Actually I hadn't unlocked the NPC's dialog yet because I hadn't successfully completed any ambuscade battles. Once I did that, I got the JSE cape upgrade tutorial and all the options unlocked for redeeming hallmarks, etc. Thanks for the reply :) Your vids are great.
I recently returned and am close to the RoE step 'Repelling an Ambuscade'. Thanks for this detailed video, it's awesome to get recommendations from an expert. Considering it's 2019 now, is anything in this video now out of date?
For the most part, everything here still holds true, however, they have increased the amount of halmarks and gallantry you get and they have added weapons. The weapons not bad but require a decent amount of time to upgrade compared to some other options. I talk about the weapons in this video (however, they are slightly better now since they can be upgraded an additional time since the release of my video): ua-cam.com/video/rD8YoZq6o0E/v-deo.html
cloudchief arcade thanks for the reply, I’m applying all of my RoE intermediate rewards towards my newly minted 99 Sam, I got the Celt belt recently from the W.R. coupon. I currently have the Bayld weapon and armor set for my Sam but the intermediate rewards will have me in 119 AF gear after a while. Let me know if there is a Great Katana you’d recommend I chase that’s not from Ambuscade that would be easier to acquire and better, like via an Escha NM maybe?
@@Callbeast The Escha Sky GK from Kammavaca. Augmented with path B it is the strongest GK other than REMA or a perfectly augmented Reisenjima GK. If you cannot clear that content yet the upgraded Oboro GK is a good option with a ton of acc.
Dont forget you must pay Kinggalka 7 mil a win. Or ne mastered rema. Witch the point of ambscade is to earn weapons slightly weaker then rema but yoy gada have rema to get a pt. Elitism my friend.
Sure, if you go by the mainstream shouts on Asura. One, you should never pay anyone for clearing any content. Two, you can make a group for yourself at the difficultly you know you can handle. If you build the group then there is no "REMA only" unless you put that there. I have taken my main, Caulifla, and two mules through ambuscade and not had any problem, I did build the PTs myself though on my mules for N since that is where they are at. If you focus on what the Elites are doing rather on what you should be doing to progress yourself you will get lost in it.
I recently returned to the game (last weekenbd) I had stopped playing in 2013. I'm really enjoying the trust and the new systems ive learned so far. I'm wondering though, is it possiable now to get dynamis or empyeron weapon skills with out making the weapon? I did almost all toa weapon skill back in 2013. if anyone knows please post
If you're still looking to do emp weapon skills, you can do that by completing this quest ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Guardian_of_the_Void and then by following this ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Walk_of_Echoes_Weapon_Skill_Trials Hope this helps!
I feel that this isn't a "new and returning players guide" because 1. You should have instead started off with wtf 'Ambuscade' is... and 2. why i should mess with it in the first place. and 3. how to unlock it. this is a guide for those who already know those things... which is something a new or returning player wouldn't know. For example when i played last Dynamis was all the rage, you say Ambuscade and i say... huh?
All of your videos have been very helpful! Thank you for providing all this content.
Thank you. Glad the videos have helped.
Thank you for making this helpful video. I was able to do Ambuscade with a clear mind.
great, video - thanks a lot for the info

You are wrong about the gallantry, you can go in solo and still get points.

Empyrean weapon skills, yes. Relic weapon skills, however, are still exclusive to relic weapons.
