Sorry some unusual audio issue happened at 3:25 and it messed up the sound there for about 10 seconds. You will have to read the card to learn about method 2. My appologies. Link to Unity Equipment: www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Category:Unity_Rewards
With both, I'd say you would have to be a lot more careful with aggro from multiple mobs. Ninja can deal with it pretty well but I could see SMN dying very quickly if they were to accidentally aggro 2-3 mobs. The main time this will be a problem is when you are fighting in the beastmen area. Take extreme care there. I'd definitely swap in a good tank in both cases... August or an Ark. Don't forget sneak/invis potions on DRG or to come /nin. Otherwise should be pretty similar. Really just more needs care to be taken on pulls and such to make sure you do NOT aggro more than the mob you want. I'll be doing runs with both these jobs eventually to show others how they work so look for that in the future.
Working on it right now actually. It's the next major video that will be released after this updates Ambu vids. The next Ninja video is easily the most involved yet as I have to go over so many pieces of gear for so many sets. Hoping to have it done in the next week but I've been really busy lately so may be a little longer than that... stand by!
Good video, but you got some info wrong: 1. Moogle Mastery has nothing to do with mobs being stronger. Where you got that info? 2. Moogle Mastery has nothing to do with chest being better quality. Where you got that info? 3. Moogle Mastery has nothing to do with Izzat cost to open chests. That cost is lowered by 1 Izzat for every 10 chests you open. Caps at 5 Izzat minimum after 50 chests opened. This seems to also be true for Coffers (-1 Izzat for each 10 Coffers opened) but cap is unknown because none opened that many Coffers yet. Same for Aurum. 4. Moogle Mastery is probably based on point system with NM kills being the most impactful to rank up. I'm fairly sure that you can rank up just by doing one thing tho. You dont need to do a little of everything. 5. Method to get personal Large box from reaching the Otherwordly Conflux at the end is known. You need to kill a Mimic, that you can pop by using keys or tools to open the chest on THF. 6. Lustreless Scale Box has 10-20 scales, not 3-15 and Large has 40-50. I know you are mostly focused on NIN content, but generally speaking if you want to farm as many scales as possible, the best strategy is to use THF and open chests. You can get around 250 scales per run that way.
As I said in the video the specifics of Moogle matery is still being figured out so much of what I say is based on what i've seen and others who have gotten further and discussed it, mainly in this thread www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/54555/the-odyssey-strategy-and-discussion/26/ It's there that it's being discussed that MM may be in teirs of Nm's nostros chest and coffers as well as the totals people are getting of each and what level of moogle mastery gotten them. Additionally the moogle states when you ask him about the stats that it reflects "the monster strength inside and the strenghty of your alter ego's" so people have theorized that it leads to those things inside... though no one has noticed any actual level difference yet on mobs. People in that thread have also noticed arum boxes dropping once their MM gets to a certain level which lead to the though that more MM leads to better chest. You are right that 10 coffers reduces opening by one. Since opening 10 coffers will increase your MM level it was originally though to be tied to that but now that just appears to be a side effect and not the cause of the reduction. I have seen another person mention the mimic getting them a large box recently but I didn't go into that whole thf tool thing in my vid as that will be in a future farming video showing what thf can do in Odyssey as yes you can get farm more with THF if you are geared for it but it's no where near as easy as NIN. This was meant to show people the safest way to get started. Interesting info on the lusterless scales... info i got was from here and based on the 10-15 i'd normally been getting. www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Lu._Scale_Box
Oh and I know first MM upgrade is from Nostros mobs kills... looks like then it switches to based on nm's and then the thought is based on opened chest ... again though this is all kind of fluid at this point as it's just a bunch of people reporting what they see. I'm sure over the coming weeks these things and the exact levels and progression will become more clear... i'll be sure to do a new episode on the MM levels on they are more defined about what is specifically needed for each.
@@NextGamesGuide i know this ffxiah thread because Im one of the main contributors there (my nick on ffxiah is SimonSes) First MM is not from Nostos. I have MM on one char with 0 nostos killed. MM ranks are in general from killing nostos, opening chests and killing NMs and its probably some weighted system where each of tha above gives you some hidden points towards next rank. I think what npc says about mobs strength might be more about future. Im guessing higher levels of MM will unlock access to more difficult part of Odyssey, because for now with MMVIII I havent noticed any changes in mobs difficulty. The part about trust being stronger applies now however. No details are known, but trust seems to be having higher stats with more MM ranks. I got Aurum chest in 2nd day of Odyssey when my MM rank was probably 1. More Aurum poping for people is more of a fact that people optimized their strategies and are opening much more chests and coffers, so naturally it will be more Aurums too. It doesnt seems to be related with MM rank at all. THF farming in Odyssey requires almost 0 gear. With better gear its much more efficient for sure, but on my fresh 99 THF half naked mules Im getting 100+ scales per run (sometimes 10 when im super unlucky and sometimes 250 when I am lucky) Chest and Coffer are to different types of chests in Odyssey (Coffer is next tier above Chest), so you need to keep that in mind, when you use this words in future video.
@@SageAtoreis Thanks for your info. To clarify I should say MY first MM came from Nostros kills, not everyone's. You seemed to imply in your original comment before it was edited that ONLY killing Nm's is what upgrades MM and that's definitely not the case is all I was trying to say. That's why I suggest you do a little bit of all of them in the video. Since we don't know which of these has the most impact at what point is and on what MM level is why I suggest doing all of them. I'm sure we will eventually figure out some kind of point system as you suggest but that's specifically why I said this was still a rather unknown system as of this time. I seem to have bad luck in thf farming then. I've gotten it to work well a few times and gotten over 100 in those occasions but also have had terrible times dealing with aggro of groups of mobs and beastmen. If I happen to aggro slimes, beastmen, +5 mobs, etc on nin I can easily just fight through it... every time that's happened to me on thf it's just caused me to die. I've also died twice on thf when killing nm's... so was just more a comment on overall durability of thf compared to Ninja. I still think thf is probably the best option for farming, I just wasn't ready to suggest it as the job you do your first run on based on the issues I've had with it. Will definitely be an upcoming video showing how to do runs on thief as they look much different then runs on pretty much any other job. Thanks for notes on chest vs coffers... will be sure to be more careful.

This should help. ua-cam.com/video/cPQgmVxCN-o/v-deo.html

Question: If you were to do this run as a Summoner (e.g. SMN/RDM), how would your decisions change (e.g. trusts, strategies, etc)? Same but with DRG?
