Thank you Miss Lori for the recipe. I live about 65 miles from Vadallia Georgia. And we truly love their onions. Never heard of this recipe, and I'm 59. But it's on tomorrow's menu.
I came for the cornbread and stayed for that fancy footwork at the end! ❤

Oh, my goodness. I just want to come and sit and visit and eat some of that good down home cooking! I love to watch your videos and listen to your Arkansas accent. Thank you for all the good recipes. I recently bought a grain mill and watched your videos on your new grain mill. I’m 80 years young and still learning new things. God bless you both!!! ♥️
Miss Lori I love you and Mr Brown. Can’t help but smile watching you two together. So much love! Your recipes are so delicious looking. Definitely going to make this Vidalia onion cornbread! I’m in Georgia so I’m hoping there’s still a few Vidalias left at the store to make this with! Thank you so much for sharing your home and recipes with all of us!🌸💖💕🌸
You taught me how to can food. My Mama was from Rookie Mount North Carolina, and some (well a lot actually) of the things you make, but especially how you make them remind me of her food. Thank you Miss Laura. I loss her far too young ( I was 9). When I watch you I feel like I am back in mommies kitchen. I will be pressure canning for the first time in the next few days. God Bless You and your family.
Thank you, and I'm so sorry for your loss, mamas are special

I saw your lovely video last night. Had to try it out today for supper. It was so scrumptious!!! I only had unsalted butter but it would've been better with salted. Thanks for your calming, sweet voice and your stories. Seeing Mr Brown eat that screaming hot food made me wince. Enjoyed his jig though!😄
I'm originally from Georgia backwoods and have never heard of onions with cornbread, but it sure looks and sounds amazing!
And your soup looks just like my Mama used to make but I didn't remember her recipe. Thank you so much! Yum! 😋

I found your channel sometime late last summer or early fall and I have been hooked ever since.
On December 10, 2020 I was admitted to Wheeling Hospital for aortic valve replacement and unfortunately the next day I was told I had covid and was sent home from the hospital within a couple days because there was a terrible outbreak of covid in our part of the country at that time and they needed to get me off the heart floor to prevent anyone there from being exposed through me. So in the middle of a bad snowstorm my husband managed to make his way down to Wheeling, WV from Steubenville, OH where we live to pick me up and take me home. I wasn't experiencing any symptoms of covid at that point but before long I was feeling pretty sick and having trouble breathing. Within a week I was pretty sick and struggling to breathe to the point that a few days before Christmas my husband got scared because I was truning blue and he rushed me to our local hospital where I was immediately admitted to the covid floor. Shortly afterwards the lung doctor came to talk to me about the necessity of putting me on a ventilator because my lungs were damaged and unable to breathe for me---he said if I didn't agree to allowing them to intubate me that I would almost surely not survive. He promised it would only be for a few days to give my lungs a chance to rest and hopefully recover. So I reluctantly agreed.
Two and a half months later, after several unsuccessful attempts to wean me off the vent they sent me to another hospital to see if they could get me off the vent. After 2 grueling weeks they succeeded but I was breathing through a trach and was being fed by a feeding tube which were both surgically implanted while I was on the vent.
When I finally became aware of what was going on we realized I could not feel my body from the waist down and my upper body was extremely weak. I couldn't lift my arms or use my hands.
At that point I was transferred to a rehab hospital to hopefully regain muscle strength and learn how to walk again. All in all I was in the hospital for 6 months and still was very limited in what my body could do. So when I finally got home I spent most of my days and nights in bed and I would try to get online as a distraction and that's how I first found Brenda Gantt and then I was thrilled to happen upon Whippoorwill Holler which has been a blessing to me ever since. There have been several other sites---Mama Sue Garrett, Collard Valley Cooks, Mountain Cooking with Missy, Keep Cooking with Pam Davidson, Home Cooking with Nan, Amy Murray from Louisiana, Coffeetime with John and Mama and The Farming Pastor's Wife. God used each and every one of these channels to lift me up and I felt an outpouring of His grace, mercy and love through you all. I am sorry this is so long but I just want you to know that you have had an important part in my recovery. I still have not totally regained my mobility but at least I can get around now by using a walker and God has clearly shown me that He is not finished with me yet.
I just watched one of your past episodes and came to realize at some point you published a cookbook. I guess it's been a while ago but are there any left? I would like to purchase one. If so, would you please email me and let me know the price and where to send a check at: margiemetz1949@gmail.com Thank you. You will never know this side of heaven just how much I appreciate and love you both.
That cornbread recipe looks so good and I'll be adding some chopped jalapenos. Eating it with that yummy soup is the best dinner!😋 Thanks for sharing your add in ideas😃
