Met Dave at a comic show in Fort Walton Beach as a young guy a long time ago in 1987....nice guy, selected a Joker\Batman print he did and signed...enjoyed talking to him. A talented artist...
Nice comics! He also did a couple of racy Cheval Noir covers and another commenter mentioned the Sheena 3D. I haven’t watched Drawn to Perfection yet but I have read that Dave actually met Bettie Page and took care of her in her later years. I’m glad he is still remembered, what a great and influential comic book artist

You need to get Sheena queen of the jungle 3D. The cover by DS is fantastic. The inside story is reprint from the 50's.
Damn this brings back memories of plucking these comics hot off the rack back in the day. Have almost all his comic book works. Just a tidbit for the fans I have a cloisonne Rocketeer pin, Bettie Page statue and a Rocketeer comic book and cassette tape with Neil Adams cover art. Pretty sure they'll be hard to find. I forgot to add there is a Cherry(Poptart) comic with a one page Rocketeer homage.

Love the Rocketeer. Allen worlds not always the most happy ending stories if I remember correctly. If you like Dave Steven’s covers you may like the Frank Cho covers in the liberty meadow comics. I think they are frank Cho covers. Weird little animals and Beautiful woman on each one. Enjoyed this video. I just picked up the Seductiom of The Innocent 3D book with Dave Steven’s Halloween cover
If you like horror, a couple contemporaries with ‘Alien Worlds’ were ‘Tales of Terror’ and ‘Twisted Tales’’ for which Dave did a cover. Good Eclipse titles and they’re not expensive
I've been a huge fan of Dave Stevens since the 80s. I have most of the covers you own, plus some of the ones you showed in your media, and a couple of lesser well knowns. There is a movie about him on UA-cam titled Dave Stevens: Drawn to Perfection. It is free and interesting. It's a shame he died so young, he had a lot of art and creativity left in him. I wish he had done more full comics like his Rocketeer work. I consider Frank Cho to be very much like Dave Stevens. Good video.

Having not seen the Bettie Page Comics book before (and knowing both that Dark Horse wasn't around in 1981 and that a $3.95 cover price would not fly in 1981 - LOL), I looked it up, and that book was published in 1996. Any insight on from where the 1981 art for the cover was originally sourced? (In other words, is there another comic book from 1981 that has the same art on the cover?)
