- Join me on my journey to more youthful skin as I undergo the Obagi Controlled Depth Peel (Blue Peel). If you have subscribed to my UA-cam channel, then you’ve probably heard me say more than once, “Go big or go home.” Well, this was no exception. Dr. Obagi combined his famous Blue Peel with a spot treatment of the CO2 laser. Eeeek! The pictures are gross (to say the least). But, although I look like one of the extra zombies on the set of The Walking Dead, there was absolutely NO pain involved. In order to not scare the public, I hid out for 10 days, wrote a few blogs, and binge-watched "The Crown." After 10 days, however, you can see that my end results are amazing! I’m 49 years old, folks, and it is difficult to find a single wrinkle or even a pore. And I know it may SEEM like I am wearing makeup in the “after” photo, I assure you I am not. I use Latisse, which helps give me thicker, darker lashes and brows, and I have permanent eyeliner, which I LOVE (but that’s a different blog). Without an ice fan it hurts like hell when they are applying it to the face. Afterward it was fine.
I use ZO skin Health products and it’s really good. It’s really pricey but it’s worth it.

Yes! I think I'm going to my face every 5 years. I'm going to wait until this winter to do my chest and maybe my arms. It's best to do it in the winter due to risk of sun exposure.
@@LiveYoungLifestyle the forearms? It's a good idea! I'm starting to notice creepey skin on my forearms, probably sun induced, yuck yuck, if there is something to do let us know! There is one part, though noble, we never mention, it's the fanny. The thighs - genitals junction gets looser as we age and wrinkly it's not a pretty sight. So far I've asked dermatologists and gynos in France, about how to rejuvenate this area and all I heard was, its a too large zone to treat. Is it too large for Mr Obaji? Seems nothing is too big for him😋
In your before photo are those red veins on cheeks?
Your after photos showed the system completely cleared it! I have veins on my cheeks and want to remove them!!!
Yes. I have pink in my face caused by excessive capillaries. It really helped!

Thank you for all the info you share. Your so beautiful. I'm 71 yrs. young. I have never had any botox or filler, not because I don't need it (I do). I have a very low tolerance to pain. Most people say the blue peel procedure stings to varying degrees. I couldn't understand what the doctor was saying at around 2:30. Something about cauterizing the nerves? thank you
He was saying that the peel goes to a level that actually hinders the experience of pain. You look like hell, but there is no pain involved. It was strange.
My doctor suggested the Obagi Peel, but she said it was painful. Do you have to do the Peel with the CO2 laser to eliminate the pain. thank you
@@darnellcox7634there is pain. During the application it burns for about 10 minutes. I just had this done 2 days ago so I’m in the early stages. Right now my face is blue tinted and feels like I have a clay mask that is now dry and a bit itchy. I look like hell but I’m looking forward to seeing results.

This peel i did and it was the worst pain ever. The 2nd pass is when it started to burn so bad I screamed and stared to cry. I couldn't touch my face for a week. It was God aweful
I'm assuming Tiffany that you did not do it in a ZO skin Health clinic? They put you out for 10-20 minutes during the procedure. You are asleep until the pain subsides. There is no post pain with this because it goes below the nerve endings. You LOOK like hell, but it doesn't hurt at all. It sounds like you did not have the same procedure, or you had a counterfeit brand by an untrained practitioner. Where did you have it done?

Hi! 10 days. You literally look like a cast member of The Walking Dead for 10 days. But the results are fantastic!
Deep peel must done at the least once a year neck including, but for the neck the peel must be lighter than the face because the neck skin is more fragile and almost devoid of sebum production so you have to do a light peel to avoid a catastrophe, anyway each time I do a peel I do full face eyelids and neck including why doing less when we can do more 😁 even during winter I do light peel 18% tca on my body, body part after another, I'm almost a warrior of peel. But I have a great result😎 anyway your peel is great beautiful skin👍

A deep peel is a Phenol Croton oil peel. A blue peel is barely a medium peel.
Does Obagi blue peel correct the scratches from microneedling and bigger pores?
Yes! my pores shrank so much!

Yes. Blue Peel on entire face. But he also spot treated with CO2 on my cheeks. With the peel, it goes so deep that it actually numbs your nerve endings, so it's a good opportunity to do a little CO2 without having any of the pain normally associated with CO2 laser recovery.

Do you mean use his products and then get laser hair removal? Or are you asking if you can use products after laser hair removal?
Here is the guideline... It's best to not have a tan prior to laser hair removal since the laser targets the pigment in the hair follicle and the more contrast between your skin and the color of the hair, the better the result. In addition, you should not use Retin-A products (especially prescription strength) a week or so prior to laser hair removal and a few days after. Dr. Obagi (ZO Skin Health) has many many products without retinoids, so it's a little difficult to answer this question. Hope this helps.

Be live me this obagi products is a really wonderful product, I did use it for years, unfortunately I don't make order any more, I have being looking for a place here in the Netherlands where to pick it up but
much fake around, if really care for your skin and try this obagi products you will never never want some order type of products out there, it changed you to a new your, the good thing about obagi products it's for all skin types.

Alex Silva -Age is inevitable Alex. It happens to us all. One day we are all going to be wrinkly old people with wise eyes. Nobody, no matter what miracle creams they are using, is going to look 20 forever. Dr Obagi looks at least 10-12 years younger than his actual age.
In fact, I just filmed a birthday wish for him. His office called me and asked if I would do an on-camera testimonial for his b-day. He's 75! He does not have the skin of a 75 year old man.

It depends on who actually performs the peel. Dr. Obagi did mine, but he trains many different dermatologists to do this exact peel. I would suggest going to Obagi Skin Health Institute online and clicking on locations. Find the location nearest you and ask what they charge. I had a CO2 laser spot treatment at the same time, so I don't know how much the peel was by itself.
Let me know if this works. If not, I will make some calls and find out for you.

hmmm... when was the last time your skin was analyzed? Our skin changes as we age due to hormone levels and environmental factors. You may need to see a dermatologists at one of the Zo Skin Health clinics to make sure you are using the correct products for your skin. If you go to the website, you can find a doctor near you. honestly i didnt see any great results, i got another peel and cheaper one i looked better... they use same acids but instead he put the name as obaji peel to brand it and make it moe expensive thats all
Really? I've had many many peels in my life, but I've never had a peel like this one. Are you sure it was the same thing? Was it a doctor that had been certified and trained by Dr. Obagi, or did he just steal the name and stick it on a treatment?
Were you under sedation for about 15 minutes? Or were you awake?
If you were totally awake, it's not the same peel.
As I know ZO uses layers of TCA peel with the safety level using blue liquid that controls the depth. That's why the peel can go deeper and safer more than other peels. Maybe Matar uses the regular TCA peel.
I prefer EXODERM-PEEL.....

radmyla Cain The photos were done daily. I was still red at day 6, 7, and 8. It was day 9 that the redness started disappearing. I went in and documented daily. It was an intense 10 day recovery, but it WAS 10 days. I don’t get money for doing this. I’m not getting any monetary payment for what I do. I have zero reasons to lie.
