Viewers of the Torbjörn, who are you and why are you here? I'm an electrical engineer from Germany just out of uni. I like shop work but never done much except a bit of woodworking every now and then. But seeing a skilled craftsman right in his element is pure joy.
Greetings from Belgium! I am an electrical engineer and computer scientist. But in my free time I love fiddling about with pretty much anything, be it wood or metal. (Although, must admit, metal has my preference.) And I really love the channel for it's content and ideas. (And also secretly like the non shop shots ...)
I'm a retired (cancer) construction worker in California. I enjoy watching his work and when I get a bit of my health back I'm going to give a try at blacksmithing as a hobby. Thunder Bear has a skill level that is worth striving for.
From Pretoria, South Africa. amateur "DIY Specialist". I love to see an artist that can work with steel and he never dissapoints! Even something small to complicated fabrications always a pleasure to watch!
I am a vehicle inspector in New York State, USA. I was a school bus mechanic for 20 years and always have enjoyed fabrication and working with metal. Another great video.
I am a retired programmer currently working part time tutoring 4th grade math in western North Carolina, USA. Long time wood worker just starting to learn metal work. Just completed my first welding certification class and thinking about taking a beginning forging class at my local community college. I very much enjoy watching these videos, very relaxing and the skill is amazing.
I'm always so glad to see your videos pop up in my feed. Days like today when I'm doing poorly they're appreciated even more. Thanks for the great content and keep up the good work!
Bless the steel fairy, love the winter scenery, I love that you show your stamp mark on each video and I laughed at the bloopers! Always an immense pleasure to chill with your videos! Thanks Torbjörn!
Another awesome video! I’m a U.S. Soldier, retired with thirty years and have some disabilities including PTSD. Watching your channel has been very therapeutic for me to relax. Watching you take a chunk of metal and making something beautiful out of it. (Yes, your tools and wooden handles are beautiful!). Thank you again for sharing your passion with all of us!
I am here because you sir have provided some amazing skills in smithing, construction, gardening and dare I say cooking? But mostly for the skills you show in Blacksmithing. You and many others sir inspire me to be creative and above all else enjoy smithing. And I thank you for it!
I'm a retired communications engineer...Atlanta Georgia...My great grandfather was a Blacksmith & moonshiner in the early 1900's...a fascinating character to say the least...as I, he would be in awe of your shop! So I have a connection as I see him through you...You have a natural talent and become one with the steel you forge, a true artist. Your abilities are quite astounding....I'm in process of watching all your videos from beginning. Thanks & God Bless...
Absolute artwork my friend. Nicely done. Plus, the outtake at the very end caught me off guard and I laughed out loud in my office during lunch break at work. Thank you for the video.
I have been hobby level smithing for 5 years now and to this day your videos are a constant inspiration to me and my work. And the sheer simplicity and elegance demonstrated in your work is a sight to behold. Forge on and keep up the amazing work, sir. SKÅL
Hi, I’ve watched this for maybe a year or so. I think This is a high quality UA-cam channel, good simple video compositions and interesting craftsmanship with skilled craftsman. I like that it’s “unknown” territory of craftsmanship in these days. I’m Mechanical Engineer /Design Engineer from Sweden. I’m glad that I found this on UA-cam, it’s relaxing to watch.
Your generosity is inspiring. Your video and blacksmithing work top notch. Attention to nature esthetics and human family values nurtures hope. Thank you for sharing.
Torbjörn, who doesn't adore your Christmas videos and projects??!! I was excited to see the season shaping up in your household. Thank you for sharing! Oh, school teacher!
While watching I was telling myself that you are superb, just awesome! Every video of yours has given me a feeling of sheer joy, pure happiness! You are a true craftsman. I'm an HVAC technician and an electrician based in Mumbai, India, and do have a lot of interest in such artistic things. 🇮🇳🙏
Once again you bring a seasons tear to a glass eye! Torbjorn! You worked hard on this one. Plugs are genius. You heard me when you blackened the felt edges. You showed warts and all with typical drifting issues: tools falling etc. We KNEW the new slitting tool would show up soon! Outstanding Torbjorn!!
Merry Christmas and the coming of Christ. Each thing you make is a work of art. Blacksmith objects are functional, but are seldom so nice to look at as yours.
I just dropped my son off at SeaTac airport after his Thanksgiving visit. Now, with another bout of traffic trauma and empty nest syndrome, I feel like cold-forged cow pie. But what's this? Another Thunder Bear release? A cup of coffee, Christmas music playing in the background and a Torbjorn video. Feeling much better . . .
Wow, wonderful work, and your slitting chisel tool really came in handy for crafting it! Something which I love very much is that each object which you craft can almost be felt after you give it the final touches, and that's something great. The snow and scenery outside is magical. :)
Thanks for another inspiring video and your beautiful creation. Thanks too, for tacking on the blooper. I laughed out loud at the sort of thing that goes on in my own shop.
Dina videor är alltid ett nöje att titta på! Firefly, förvandlas till järn-det är original! Gissade att denna ljusstake, bara när du lägger den på vindrutan.
I used pine tar and linseed oil on a couple walking sticks a few years ago. The finish is fairly resilient. I use a heat gun if the wood cracks and reuse the pine tar that was impregnated to reseal. It's a great black.
I love your work and the peace you emit. In all rest and quietness you make the most beautiful workpieces. Even with your workpiece redhot, falling in your coolingbucket, you stay calm ;-).
Hi, I'm a Blacksmith from Germany. I'm looking for new Ideas and how other Blacksmith are working. I like sweden and norway for my Holiday and I like all the Videos from Torbjörn. Thanks so much for all of them, I learnd a lot by watching :) Best regards from Hannover Nick
Very nice... You make it look easy too! I especially liked when your piece fell in your bucket of water. That's stuff that happens to me. At least now I know I'm not the only one! 🤪
As always, great work, very nice candle holder. I am from Poland, I follow your channel for a long time and come to the conclusion that there is something magical in blacksmithing. You take a piece of metal and like in magic with the touch of a magic wand, here at the touch of a hammer such wonderful things arise. Best wishes.

Torbjörn, who doesn't adore your Christmas videos and projects??!! I was excited to see the season shaping up in your household. Thank you for sharing! Oh, school teacher!
I took some guilty pleasure in watching Torbjorn struggle a bit holding and drifting the workpiece. I wrote that country song!
Love the blooper.....
Love that you show stuff happens, and it's not always perfect.....
The last of the apples hanging capped with snow is now my wallpaper pic for this year's Christmastime.
Thank you for another very satisfying video
First sunday of advent! Love how you just lit the first candle! Great touch!
I do love it when the B I G H A M M E R comes out
Как всегда теплое уютное видео. И, действительно, вначале лайк, потом просмотр. Отличное напоминание того, что пора готовится к празднику.
