Beautiful work ! The stitch work looks fabulous and I could see the black perfectly . So it sounds like you’ll be knitting the cardigan for your wedding- what a great project 🎉
Really looking forward to seeing the cardigan finished. Love the black and white. Jumper fabulous. I have scraps I look forward to using up. Bridal cardigan is lovely
I just realized you’re in Manchester - I’m in Chester! Will be making Reste when it’s released…thinking about possible color stripe combos. The garter ridge outline is a lovely detail.
As a 'cardigan v-neck'person, I really like the reste cardigan! I also really like that you looked for a non-mohair substitution for the main yarn. I actually never use mohair because I'm pretty sensitive to it, but if I understood correctly, 2 strands of mohair are equal to 1 strand of fingering weight yarn. Do you think you can also use 1 strand of fingering weight yarn for the stripe or is the lack of fluf something that will make it not looking right? I know I can use alpaca but I have some fingering weight restjes (scraps in Dutch) and I was wondering if I could use those too.
Thank you so much! I think you can use whatever you like for the stripes, the idea is that you can use your Restjes and to have fun with it! I think no fluff would work just fine, it would be interesting to see different fibres for the MC and the CC 🤍
Oh that’s great! I think maybe it’s one of those words used in a few languages with perhaps subtle differences in spelling but with a similar overall meaning. So that’s German, French and danish…I wonder what else 🤍
I used a woolyknit cone for my (second) first cardigan and used less than a cone for the whole thing. 40" bust (can't remember which size number that makes, sorry)
Thanks Jennie! I think I ordered 2 partly because I wanted to hold it double and was lazy about having to unwind half 🤪 But at least will have leftovers!
Suggestion: hold something up then talk after you put it down. It is distracting to listen to you with something in front of your face. Also, those people that read lips can’t understand you.
So many variables, looking forward to the pattern release 😊
Coming soon!
Rester in Norwegian also means scraps! Love the mohair details on the sweater, can think of so many possible colour combinations.
Oh thank you! So many different languages use a variation of the word, I had no idea!
Love it 🖤🤍 both WIPs are absolutely beautiful so elegant love it🖤🤍

Much better than the first video I was disappointed in the first video but this was great. I could see all the details! Thanks
Glad it was better! Thanks for bearing with the tech change 🙂

Hi Lizzie! Reste is also a French word meaning left over, how appropriate and convenient 🤗
Oh that’s great! I think maybe it’s one of those words used in a few languages with perhaps subtle differences in spelling but with a similar overall meaning. So that’s German, French and danish…I wonder what else 🤍
Reste is also good name in polish, because scraps are resztki and it sounds similar to reste!
No way! thank you for letting me know, I am learning the word for “leftovers” is similar in so many languages 🤍
@@HiveKnitsNatters I found it very interesting too!
