I hope you have a wonderful first Christmas in your new home. The first time I hosted Christmas was a disaster. It was 11am and I realized we had not bought any food to prepare. I also hadn’t been grocery shopping in a while, so nothing to even improvise. We raced to the grocery store and they were ready to close. I had to call my mom to dig through her freezer and cabinets for food. She was so great and brought everything we needed. My mother in law on the other hand was very unpleasant about the whole situation. I have never offered to host a single thing again. I tried, but a domestic goddess I am not 😂

I love your podcasts ❤. I bet you are a wonderful physician.. I worked in the medical field here in Oregon for 32 years as an assistant. Loved my work and especially the patients and doctors I worked with. Have a wonderful holiday 🎄🎄🎄🎄

I love and favorited the first tee and intend to buy the pattern and make it. I think it looks fantastic and I also think the success will be longer term because there may be knitters who, like me, are in the throes of holiday gift knitting and cozy winter knitting and plan the first tee as a spring knit. I want it in red or deep pink. Don’t be hard on yourself because of nitwits like me who are behind and missed the promo code and are in the weeds getting ready for Christmas. Thanks for the honesty. I will never be a pattern designer, but I am really interested in your perspective on the costs and turning a hobby into a fulfilling career. And I LOVE the knitting sheep on your tree! Sooo adorable!!!

Lizzie, I think the very fact that there were hiccups and hurdles to overcome makes The First Tee all the more a massive success. I am sure that all designers have similar difficulties, if not with each design, certainly from time to time. The First Tee is a beautiful and original design, you should be super proud of it, and yourself for persevering.

Dear Lizzie you have achieved so much with your lovely patterns and all done whilst working in a very demanding profession 👏 That feeling of “failure” is something common in high-achieving females - myself included! Not only have you achieved so much in your working life and in your creative life, but you also produce super interesting podcasts that are a joy to watch, and your genuine warmth shines through 🥰

I am so proud of you and the design. It was a journey but it was al worth it.

Thanks very much for making these videos, Lizzie. As someone who has retired after 25 years of working as a midwife I know too well what it's like to work in healthcare. So doing all the extra work of UA-cam, designing patterns etc can't be easy. I'm not much of a knitted tee person but I've just bought your first sweater pattern 😊
