me and another guy actually started a 50x project ourself, we are currently at blue science, do not have bots but we have 1200 science per minute
it took 58 hours. we do not play with biters

I did a run with my friends on 1000x research cost (100x cost + a mod with another multiplicative modifier of 10x)
It took us like 8 hours to get logistics for splitters and we had to use long inserters to weave lanes of belts instead (long inserters were included with the automation research tech and logistics cost was 200k red science packs) the later researches required millions of science packs
The base was cursed as hell due to lack of splitters we had miners only mining only on one half a belt as it was easier to connect it with ore without loss in efficiency
Later I left and didn't come back as I wasn't interested so much in it due to huge time requirement which felt like a waste of time but I always liked the early game in factorio and enjoyed it to some point
The server was public for anyone to play so maybe some people know what I mean here.
The horrors from playing with 100x last night.
1. Using long inserters to cross ore / coal / plate lines. I didn't want to hand feed coal in even the first smelting lane.
2. After stopping for the night, decided to do a little any%
Speedy start but logistics hadn't been researching right. It took me a while to see science was still on 100x. It wasn't a rage quit but an irk abandonment.
Cybersyn tutorial would be awesome! I was going to ask for it but you were faster :)

on the kirkmcdonald calculator you can click the arrow next to a row to see where it goes and what you need just for that row

Yep, it was fun watching you go through this. I finished my 100x run while you were working on the final stages or editing (not in your discord so no idea on comparison there), but i ended up taking the city-block approach and ignore the cybersin train stuffs almost entirely. Honestly there's a few things i was most proud of, one being my science delivery setup, as it was a convoluted distribution with room for beacons if i wanted them, and using constant combinators to signal how much a block consumed and provided at each stage. so it was super easy to figure out how many more blocks i needed my bots to make of a given smelting block. Debating on if i want to just share the save, for those who just want to look around.

as someone who never plays with aggressive biters... yeah, I don't really care about them. for me at least is just a big pain the ass that is going to kill me over and over because I play slow while still overproducing somehow
