It will never be a *serious* competitive shooter, they will continue catering to the average braindead players with do-it-all characters or characters that require no skill and just play the game for you. It's so sad.
Finally someone with their head screwed on straight. This needs more views. The 6v6 tests will expose to everyone how shit it feels to fight a super tank, how shit it feels to have your plays negated by a slack jaw'd, drooling chimp that pushes the immortality button. The og OW players will see it at least
It's strange to hear the devs say exactly what the problems are and say goals that align with what I want but also see they've only done things to make it worse and go the opposite direction. Even 6v6 won't fix everything cause DPS passive and immortalies are still dumb but it will mean being able to duel tanks again so it's a start.
idk about anyone else but i enjoyed classic a lot. normally i can't stomach more than 3 games of 5v5 before hitting alt f4. When classic came out i find myself queueing for hours. However after that I feel like there's no reason to keep playing because you don't earn anything (only a title, spray and some bp xp) and I think that will make people stop playing it after just trying it out for a bit and I wonder how they are going to interpret classic's reception because of that
I wonder that as well. My friends and I have hopped on to play classic the last few days but we won't even touch 5v5. Classic is super broken and clunky but at least shit dies again. There's just more rewarding plays in classic.
@thepoofster2251 idc about queue times. Even though my time is limited, I'd rather have an hour long queue for a well rounded, evenly matched lobby, than to have a 1 minute queue where they inject low iQ players that will throw your match. Quality>quantity
@@JugsMcNasty i've devised an organic ladder, i think it would have pretty good matches, i've been studying this stuff for a long time, i'd be willing to talk about it inVC with you, but short of the that..."just trust me" lol
Killing Roadhog as a hanzo is how the game should be. Everyone should be able to kill everyone as long as you can outplay them. The biggest problem in ow2 other than its been powercrept through the roof for years, other than the uneven power throughout the roles, its the DENIAL abilities. Lamp, suzu, lifegrip. If you do 20 inputs to execute a perfect combo on someone, they shouldn't be able to push one single button and simply erase everything you just did. That free value for doing nothing is not healthy for the game. It dumbs the game down and thats where we are now. A game so dumbed down, that even the wins dont feel good. And this is all done on purpose to make it more user friendly, to attract new players, so they buy skins😅 and thats the bottom line cuz stone cold says so. Really sad that they choose greed over art
I agree 100% with everything you wrote here. Ow2 got to the point where I knew how to win and it wasn't even fun anymore and losses were just more frustrating cause they seemed so out of my control. I stopped playing thinking they wanted a more casual audience and to hear them say they want to be a serious competitive shooter had me really confused. I'm glad there's other people that didn't get that impression. Even 6v6 alone won't magically change that and I don't know if they even understand that.
I have an acquaintance who played only supports in ow2 and once she tried ow classic she said she didn't like it and went back to the standard game mode. She said that she felt like she couldn't do anything and died too quickly. I think there's definitely an ow2 playerbase that wants to keep playing 5v5 because it's all they've known and enjoyed, and if Blizzard wants to keep both game modes, queue times are gonna be a problem again 😂
“Immortality” abilities are so overrated it’s not even funny, there’s plenty of ways to bait out a Suzu or lamp before you ult, and sometimes it’s gonna cost an ult to do it but it’s simple. If you want an easy game where you can turn your brain off and shoot people overwatch isn’t that anymore. Play call of duty or something. DDA is just skill based matchmaking, its dumb to think removing that would make a game more competitive, its like removing sr from chess its dumb.
