It low key is tho for all the reasons he mentioned. You’re invincible while ulting, you heal, get cooldowns back faster, free empowered punch PLUS all the overhealth generated from hitting people and it literally can’t be canceled bc it’s frame 1 escape option.

@@brycenb2994it’s not bad, but not even close to broken, it’s mostly just a survivability tool that lets you disengage and reengage, nothing like plenty of other ults that just can carry fights all on their own very easily like a cage or whole hog just by melting the enemy tank

most of the time when someone tells me to swap off doom is usually the player playing the wrong hero with our comp / into the enemy comp.

@@GetQuakedOnyou play doom in every game in every match no matter your comp. And playing all dive, all poke, etc is never necessary nor is it the most efficient way to build a lineup

Well, there are doom mains that go 0 and 5 because they keep dying in the first 10 seconds of any engagement.
I thought Doom was completely unviable. I practiced in QP until I figured out how to properly use his techs and strategy. My third game in comp we were doing very well and when we swapped to defense one of my DPS refused to continue playing until I swapped because he said he was carrying. When he said this He had about 20 kills and I had 18. The game ended after he stopped playing and I had 37-6

There’s no way their bap was tryna say doom ult is busted. It does a solid 15 dmg if you are an inch outside of the middle circle and if you miss empowered punch you’re probably gonna be in a bad position. It’s a utility ult that scales with skill
The inner circle has about the same radius as the level of honour of a sombra player as well making it even worse

They also buffed it so the minimum damage it can do is 50. Not 15. And saying “oh but you can miss your punch tho” is so random. 😂

It annoys me when I pick a tank hero and the other team has a few counters to that hero, and my team flames me for staying on that character. Why is it always the tanks that have to switch? A few good dps and support hero switches can negate the counters and improve the team comp. Especially the stubborn supports who refuse to accommodate the rest of the team.
Right? People always expect the tank to play around them when the rest of the team can try picking a comp that compliments the tank pick as well.
even if u carry as doom, it's always the support or dps who happens to be performing the worst in the game and is the one asking you to switch, like with what right you ask me to switch lmfao, they always saying shit like, "No space, we can't walk, no tank gg", and when you watch the replay, it was them who were dying because of their own mistakes
The reason is because tank is extremely important to the team, theres only one tank and its the strongest hero on the field. If you get hard counter swapped, your teammates swapping doesnt just cancel it out. Youre still going to get perma hacked by that sombra. This is coming from a tank main.
@@loganbivins2438 the whole team swapping to accommodate a good comp is way more impactful than some tank counters. A tank can realistically outplay the counters, and a good team comp can back them up

Sombra is the only character that keeps me from becoming a doom one trick because i value my sanity…..genuinely baffles me how they see this character’s gameplay and say “yeah thats fun and balanced” at least you can play around hog and orisa
Eh, I don't really think Doom can play around Hog. If you leave him alone to focus on backline, then he kills your team since his oneshot is so easy and consistent. If you face him directly you die because of your pitiful health and hook going right through block.
@@tau-5794Actually is very doable to play against Hog, just be aggro when he has no hook and stay out of LOS when he has it and try to punch him whenever he hooks a teammate.

@eauscriptos I think it's map dependant (unless you're a doom god like quaked), it's super easy to play around hog on Watchpoint Gibraltar, not so much on like, Rialto or something

The sole reason i learned doom was to be free of enemy dps and supps swapping to ruin my best heroes. "Whatever the meta is doom players make it work" that's the way i thought and i still do.
So many players think characters existing is the same as being countered. Countering is as much about out playing the opponent as it is choosing the right heroes. Especially in low ranks.

@@ElizabethSalva-zr8hz what? have you ever played support? they require game sense, knowing when to dps and when to heal, and also have to know when to use their saving abilities like baps field or kiri’s cleanse. supps like ana or mercy are supposed to watch for flankers while also keeping their team up, and supps like brig have to know when to take a fight and when not to.
Eh the supports were relatively quiet in this vid but yes the ones especially in the metal ranks has little to no gamesense on comps and synergy.
I groan in agony anytime there's examples like: an illari when my team is running majority dive/brawl or me picking illari for our poke comp and my other support picks mercy in my games.
Dps are guilty of this too obviously but their impact on imbalanced synergy is neglible compared to a support

Seems like dooms mobility is akin to TFC bunny hoping. It shouldn’t be removed but top speed could be limited? His primary fire is a slow shot gun like burst fire, but it can land “head shots” at quite the distance, should that be nerfed?
