- A video, presented by Brian Moore, telling the story of the 1983/84 season in the Football League. There isn't much Liverpool footage in the video that isn't in my other 83/84 uploads, but it's still an interesting video.
Thanks to distantvoices for this video. - Спорт
In mid 40's now & this is 1 of the finest seasons ever imho. Justin Fashanu goal was a screamer bless him.. Thanks again for this bliss.. (lol @ that soaking pitch)
"Little Terry Gibson" lol 🔥. Rinsed this 'back in the day' & cheers for the Nostalgiahh ❤
Thank you for uploading, had this as 12 year old watched it over n over, thanks for the memories
I remember buying this and watched it hundreds of times, I thought it was quite unusual as they showed both BBC and ITV highlights of the games, it’s just a shame they didn’t do it every season
Aye, that would've been a Godsend tbf
I wondered why I could only find the off one unless you have now TV they have every season since prem started
Did have the 1989-90 + the 1 when Leeds won the league, but that's all recall tbh
I had this video. Thanks for another upload!
Yeah, lost count how many times watched it. Revisiting it again thanks to it being uploaded of course evokes such memories. From the goalS to the saves, fouls & commentary of course.
Awesome upload Dave my mate I'll watch thus tomorrow night after work and happy Christmas and new year to you and your family YNWA
One of the first VHS tapes I bought. Being a liverpool fan there wasn't much action involving the reds which dissaapointed me... Season reviews became more prominent from 88/89 for liverpool anyway. Dvds from 2001 treble season.
I have this on VHS too Dave, I remember it being a very random season as I don't remember them releasing any others.
Fabtastic memories cheers
I've still got this VHS somewhere at my mum's house - nearly worn completely out!
Any chance you could put it on dvd and i will pay you 100%
You can get a copy on DVD from here: footydvd.co.uk/
👍
Used to watch this on vhs as a kid at my uncles can still remember most of the goals. 🤭🤣
great archive
I didn't realize Season Review VHS tapes went back this far. I wish there was a documentary about the rise and fall of VHS tapes.
I owed this on vhs happy days
👍
There's a name I had long forgotten - Rob Wakenshaw. He looked so promising, but I don't remember him doing much. Still, he had a moment in the limelight, not bad that.
Aye..!👍. Same as for Michael Robinson tbh! eg: Him scoring his 1st League goal from that "enormous kick by Grobbelaar" of a fine Hat-Trick😮
Thx Davy😊❤
I had this on VHS 😍
Amen.👍🔥
I actually considered getting this at the time, but its lack of a happy ending put me off. Have a great Christmas Dave and distantvoices.
I bought it a few years later as I didn't get a VCR until 1988. The box described the first division as a "photo finish" between Liverpool and United which doesn't seem quite right! Thanks for all your comments this year. Have a great Christmas.
Have a good Xmas lads.
Thanks. And to you.

Great season for us, hated that crap trophy though
Yeah, it's a shame this treble and the 86 double both had this terrible trophy rather than the traditional one.
Yes, I believe it was Andy Gray who referred to it as an art nouveau piece of furniture😂
I have this video too. £19.95 when first released, I believe.
I was born in this decade, that bloody trophy is hysterical, what is wrong with people? Its football for crying out loud 😆
Did Liverpool win the league or was it typical ITV concentrating on Man Utd
Yes. In 1983/84, Liverpool won League Cup, European Cup & the football 1st division league as well
Good all days
Love watching videos like this season reviews from 80's and 90's also early 00's when players played because they wanted to wear the shirt and they had passion for the game it changed too much once prem started and you could have as many overseas players as you wanted I feel we've lost our identity our football doesn't seem like it did I think FA and prem should have a rule of amount of overseas players in starting lineup like they used to have but maybe increase number to 5 so at least the English game has a core English setting how it should be
I had that for my 16th birthday
The kits in that season were so beautiful compare to taday1s one.

Alan Brazil with an overhead kick
1:10:50 I’m surprised Chelsea played at home on the same day as Fulham played at home against Newcastle!!
Viva Liverpool 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♦️♦️♦️♦️♦️
Frank Worthington still knocking them in while collecting his pension . Wednesday Chelsea and Newcastle breaking the boredom .
